The building is spread out horizontally, so depending on where your Room is located, it can be quite a walk to the restaurant, baths, and lobby. Other than that, there were no particular issues or complaints. It was a truly wonderful Accommodation. Although the large public bath is not an Onsen, it offers three different water temperatures (high/medium/low) and water types, plus a carbonated bath. Other guests also mentioned that it might be more effective than some Onsen. The restaurant (buffet-style) had a wide variety of dishes, and the staff were excellent—one thoughtful touch was that they even informed us that ice cream could be taken back to our Room. I believe drinks inside the facility were reasonably priced as well—for example, a 350 ml can of beer was 350 yen. The souvenir shop opens from 7:30 a.m. It has a great selection, and you can probably find most things you need there.

We made a last-minute Reservation, and the Accommodation was very clean. There was also a welcome drink, and it felt like a relaxing space as soon as we arrived. For luggage, they lent us a cart, but we had to carry everything ourselves; however, there is an elevator, so it wasn’t an issue. Since our room was on the second floor, the view was more like a small glimpse of the ocean in the distance. The area is famous for beautiful sunsets, but I completely forgot and scheduled dinner at sunset time, so we couldn’t see it—such a shame. If the weather is nice, choosing a later dinner time might be better since the beach is close and you can take your time enjoying the sunset. The dog run isn’t very large, but our dog seemed to have fun running around. The meals were very generous portions and left us full. We could also order food for our dog and enjoy dining together, which was great. The photo spots were cute as well. We’d love to stay again if we have another chance.

We stayed in a seaside-view Room this time. The view was great, and the Room’s spaciousness and cleanliness were well received by both my grandchild and our family. We were satisfied with the meals as well, but my grandchild has allergies, so it would have been helpful to have allergen information displayed (it’s possible we simply missed it). When we asked the kitchen staff, they kindly told us, but when they seem busy we feel a bit hesitant to ask. Overall, everyone said they would like to come again, so we would like to stay here again next time.

Everything about the Room, cuisine, Onsen, and ocean-view location is outstanding. The price is unbelievably low. I would definitely like to stay again!

The breakfast was excellent. Everything was unpretentious, with comforting, nostalgic flavors that were easy to enjoy. In particular, the slightly sweet tamagoyaki—just like a mother would make—the gently flavored miso soup rich with dashi, and the kinpira gobo made it a truly memorable breakfast. The breakfast was amazing! It was so good that I’d stay here just to eat breakfast. The kids also seemed to have fun making their own seafood rice bowls in the morning. There is also a coin laundry in the Facility, and the Onsen changes between morning and night. Because my expectations were high from the Hotel photos, I noticed some signs of aging in the guest room, and it was a bit of a walk to the Onsen. It’s about an 8-minute drive to Obi Castle, so the location is great. Enjoying the Onsen after getting tired from eating while walking around made for a wonderful trip!

This was my first trip to Hakodate. There is only one direct flight a day from Nagoya, and I was incredibly lucky to get a ticket. Visiting a new place for the first time is so exciting. The Room had huge floor-to-ceiling windows with a panoramic view of Mt. Hakodate. The space was generous, and the bathtub and sink were spacious as well. The lighting switches were thoughtfully placed throughout, making everything very convenient—it was almost too comfortable! Dinner at Kita Jin (booked separately) was also excellent: premium Genghis Khan in a private room, relaxed and delicious. Breakfast was around 8:00, and we were seated right away. We came without much prior knowledge and were amazed by the variety—and even more by the quality of every dish. My spouse and I travel all over the whole country, and this may have been our best breakfast ever. Personally, I loved the eel snack with tea, dim sum, sashimi, chiffon cake, and egg tarts. What stayed with us most from this trip was meeting so many wonderful people in Hakodate: The kind driver with a great smile on the airport limousine bus. At lunchtime at Lucky Pierrot near the station—busy as it was—a female staff member still let us draw an Ichiban Kuji lottery ticket and gave us a pin badge with a big smile. At NIPPONIA Hotel Hakodate Port Town on our first day—a female staff member kindly explained everything and gave us a hand-drawn illustrated map of nearby spots within walking distance. On an evening sightseeing taxi tour to see Mt. Hakodate’s night view—a female driver born in Hakodate from Donan Taxi carefully explained local history, the Western-style houses in Motomachi, and the origins of Soma-tei. The staff who made our motorboat cruise even more enjoyable under clear skies the next day. At lunch near the station at Uni Specialty Shop Yoichiya—a female employee whose attentiveness and refined service truly impressed us. And above all, at Century Marina’s front desk—the female staff member who kindly explained everything for our first stay left a wonderful impression with her polite service; of course, the male staff member at checkout was also outstanding. The quick yet courteous service at Kita Jin was excellent as well—we are truly grateful to have stayed at this Hotel. It was an intense 2-night/3-day trip to Hakodate, but seeing everyone working so hard to make their city shine really moved us—it looked genuinely inspiring. We will definitely come again. I truly fell in love with historic Hakodate from the bottom of my heart!

We stayed with our dog, along with my parents—six of us and three dogs. From the warm welcome upon arrival, the staff’s service was outstanding, and we were overwhelmed by the magnificent exterior and luxurious lobby. We travel every year, and this is the first time I’ve written a Review for a Hotel. It was truly a 100% satisfying Hotel, and our whole family was able to spend a fun time together with smiles. It’s such a wonderful place that one night isn’t enough—we’re already planning to celebrate my parents’ 80th birthday here next year at Hotel Kawakyu. All of the staff were incredibly kind and helpful.

My daughter and I stayed here to celebrate each other’s birthdays. We were upgraded to a spacious Room with views of both the sea and the mountains, and we were happy to relax and truly enjoy our time. We also visited the lounge on the same floor, where we enjoyed a generous selection of alcoholic drinks and delicious hors d’oeuvres plates. We can’t wait to come back again.

We were satisfied with everything—the bath, the Room, and the meals. The bath was truly blissful; we could relax while looking out at the sea. I stayed here the last time I visited Hokkaido and loved it, so this is a repeat stay. Although it’s a bit of a walk from Susukino Station, the price is reasonable and the bath and amenity quality is excellent. The large public bath is especially spacious, and with the open-air bath included there are plenty of baths to choose from. The natural Onsen feels amazing! The sauna also allows you to do loyly freely, and you can adjust the temperature as well. Even the toothbrush was sturdy enough that it felt wasteful to throw away after one use, and the skincare amenities were Sekkisei! The Hotel itself may be older, so there are some inconveniences like slow elevators that take a while to arrive, but overall it’s a very good Hotel. I’d like to stay here again when I come back to Hokkaido.

I had reserved a triple room, but one of my companions wasn’t feeling well, and you kindly changed it to a twin and a single. I truly appreciated your support. What’s more, the rate stayed the same—I couldn’t believe it. Thank you very much. I also enjoyed the bath both at night and in the morning. Breakfast was delicious and therefore crowded, but we could check our place in line online, so it wasn’t any hassle. In Otaru, Dormy Inn is the best choice.

From welcome to farewell, the service was attentive and truly impressive. Although it is a Business Hotel in style, the Onsen was excellent, and the breakfast in particular was more luxurious and delicious than expected. For dinner, we used a voucher provided at the front desk and went to a robatayaki restaurant. With restaurants nearby and enjoyable night views, it was a comfortable Hotel to stay in.

Since New Year’s, we’ve been taking a one-night Onsen trip every month, and this time we chose Hirado after watching YouTube. Our main goal was to enjoy delicious sashimi. The sashimi was fresh and tasty, but compared with our previous stay, it was a bit disappointing that the slices were thinner. The meals were delicious, with a wide variety of buffet options—so much that we were completely full. We were very satisfied with both dinner and breakfast. We stayed in the new building; the Room was clean, and the Onsen was great. The staff were also very helpful. We’d like to stay again.

Thanks to the information you shared with us by email in advance, we were able to arrive smoothly at Yukaen by shuttle bus on the day. Check-in was also explained carefully, and we stayed comfortably throughout. We considered sightseeing on the second day, but since we had fully enjoyed Chuson-ji Temple on the first day, we decided to focus on relaxing and enjoying the Onsen. We booked a head and hand course at Nagomi-yu for day use, had lunch, and spent a very restful time. The fried shrimp and minced meat cutlet we ordered for daytime drinks were impressively generous portions, and everything was delicious. The lounge pancakes were also great—we finished them in no time. Dinner on the second night featured a different menu from the first, so we could enjoy a new atmosphere as well. The hospitality truly felt guest-focused and very comfortable; my friend and I said we'd love to come back as we left the Accommodation. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

I usually stay at Itoen Group properties, but this time I tried staying here with a breakfast-included Plan! There are various shops nearby, so having no dinner included was not a problem at all. I came by motorcycle, and it rained quite a bit on the day of checkout, so when I told them I wanted to extend my stay, they looked into options and arranged it for me. The staff were very helpful, and I had a very satisfying stay. Next time, I’d like to try the Plan with dinner included.

My aunt found a hair and, since she is not good with such things, she ended up contacting the front desk, which I felt very sorry about. However, the response afterward was truly wonderful: they handled it thoroughly using as many as four vacuum cleaners, and someone who seemed to be the manager and branch manager also apologized to her in person. Thank you very much for your exceptionally courteous service—we almost felt bad for causing you so much trouble. She also said the meat at dinner was tender and very delicious. With ocean views from every room, the scenery was amazing, and she told us it was “the best trip ever.” We sincerely appreciate the heartfelt hospitality of all your staff.

Conveniently located in front of Hakodate Station with ample parking, and the streetcar stop is right across the road. An ideal base for sightseeing in Hakodate. Breakfast isn’t flashy, but each dish feels carefully prepared. The taste was satisfying, and even at the live kitchen they served each guest attentively, leaving both my stomach and mood satisfied from the morning. The Room and shared spaces also left a good impression, but the only disappointment was some dirt and odor in the bathroom (perhaps due to its age?). It wasn’t unhygienic, but since the other Facility areas were well maintained, it stood out a bit. I hope to see improvements in the future, as this is a Hotel I’d like to stay at again.

The Facility is old, but the rates are affordable, and since the meals are kaiseki cuisine, we enjoyed them at a relaxed pace. Above all, the Kanmon Bridge and the Kanmon Strait can be seen from the Room, bath, and dining hall—absolutely wonderful. We were able to take our time enjoying the view of various ships coming and going. We will stay again.
