The food was excellent. Each dish had a unique local touch, and even though we ate until we were full, it didn’t feel heavy. We really appreciated the thoughtful hospitality. It was easy to ask for advice on how to spend our time, and this is an Accommodation we’d love to stay at again in a different season.\nThe stairs are steep, so you need to be careful, but I’d still like to bring my mother.

The building was new and very clean, and the Room was thoroughly cleaned down to every corner. It was spacious, and we had a very comfortable stay. The meals were also delicious. Although the staff were from overseas, they were kind and helpful—thank you very much. As it was our 13th wedding anniversary, we also received a surprise dessert plate—thank you very much.

Although it was the day before a typhoon, we had a very comfortable stay. The cute duck in the bathroom was very soothing. We would love to stay again.

Our family of four stayed with two Chihuahuas. The Accommodation was very comfortable for traveling with pets, and the staff were all kind and helpful. The French dinner was beautifully presented, each dish carefully prepared, and everything was delicious. The Japanese breakfast also offered a wide variety of dishes, letting us enjoy local ingredients, and we were very satisfied from the morning. We were able to relax and enjoy the Onsen as well, making wonderful memories together as a family. We would love to stay again.

From the pre-check-in lounge and light snacks to the Room, playroom, karaoke room, and large public bath, everything was clean, comfortable, and plenty of fun. Dinner was long-awaited, and we enjoyed more crab than we ever have before; the fresh seafood and beef steak were also very satisfying. Breakfast was just as excellent—especially the delicious burgers. Our whole family had a wonderful stay. Thank you very much.

As this was my first time in Okayama, I planned my trip mainly around sightseeing in Kurashiki and made a Reservation at Ivy Square. I ended up arriving late at night because work ran over, but the staff greeted me with “Mr./Ms. XX, we’ve been expecting you,” and their warmth truly touched me. The Room Facilities were all new and spotless, and I was more satisfied than I had imagined. Since we were staying in the Bikan Historical Quarter, my husband and I went for an early-morning run, and having a coin laundry on-site was incredibly helpful. (I’d be even happier if there were a few more machines.) I also asked several times for help arranging taxis, and each time they responded quickly and very courteously. My husband and I found ourselves saying every day, “Everyone at this Hotel is so friendly and always smiling—amazing,” and it quickly became one of our favorites. Next time we visit Kurashiki, we’ll definitely stay here again! Thank you for the wonderful hospitality.

On my first visit back to Asanoya in a while, the Accommodation was even more beautiful than before, and the staff welcomed me with warm, genuine smiles. Enjoying a forest-bathing experience in the open-air Onsen surrounded by cicada songs, and soaking in the large public bath filled with clear, pristine water, I felt the everyday fatigue that had built up over the summer melt away—I was able to relax from the bottom of my heart. It’s rare to find an Accommodation where everything is this complete: the Onsen, the Room, the cuisine, and the attentive care of the staff. And while many luxury Ryokan are extremely expensive, Asanoya offers this wonderful service at truly reasonable prices. I hope to spend my years ahead with Asanoya. Thank you again for everything on this visit as well.

Thank you for your hospitality. The doorman, front desk, and restaurant staff were all courteous and kind. There were more than enough amenities and towels provided for the number of guests, so we could stay comfortable without having to reuse the same towels. The lounge food and breakfast were both delicious. We will definitely stay again when we visit Awaji Island!

It was wonderful. The Ryokan always had a pleasant incense fragrance throughout the building, which helped us relax. We even bought some as souvenirs. The staff member who explained everything during our meal was very courteous, and it truly warmed our hearts. We also used the private open-air bath, and it was great to be able to spend a relaxing time with our family. This is a Ryokan we would love to stay at again. Thank you very much.

The twin Room was spacious, clean, and flawless. The mattress felt a bit old-fashioned, but I slept well. The shampoo and other amenities smelled wonderful—easily the best among my recent Hotel stays. The breakfast buffet was also amazing. I topped my waffle with whipped cream and maple syrup, and there were plenty of sushi (including temari sushi) and other Japanese dishes too—I wished I had saved more room beforehand. After finishing, I noticed there were puddings and smoothies at the counter, but I had already left my seat so I had to give them up reluctantly. They also lent us rental bicycles on both days, which was a huge help in the heat. Thank you very much. I’ll definitely stay again!

I stayed at Izutsuya again for the first time in decades. When I was younger, I went to Yumura Onsen by car with coworkers on what we called a summer trip, and as the organizer I chose Izutsuya because the Onsen and cuisine looked excellent. I don’t remember much from back then, but I clearly remembered the food and baths, and this time as well we enjoyed delicious meals and the Onsen just as before. However, since we visited during an extremely hot midsummer period, the strong sun and Arayu left us a bit tired. Next time, I’d love to come when the courtyard has an autumn feel. Thank you very much for your hospitality. The attendants were also very polite and attentive, so aside from the heat it was a wonderful trip.

I recently stayed at Yoshiharu, which I had been looking forward to for a long time. After reading Reviews on various sites, I decided to stay here for my trip to Izu—and it was absolutely the right choice. While waiting to check in after arriving at the Ryokan, we were offered complimentary drinks and sweets, and then we were given a thorough tour of the property. With five private hot-spring baths, a large public bath with a sauna, massage chairs, and a lounge space available morning and night (soft drinks, coffee, café au lait, tea, etc.), there are so many Facilities that the guided tour helped us enjoy everything to the fullest. The food was of course delicious—the Koshihikari rice was excellent, and the abalone was outstanding!! As others have said as well, this is truly an Accommodation you’ll want to visit again in another season. I will definitely be back.

This was a wonderful Accommodation in the charming setting of Yamanaka Onsen, beautifully blending traditional character with modern style. The hospitality in the tea lounge, the delicious dishes made with seasonal Hokuriku ingredients, and the excellent service from all staff allowed us to forget everyday life and enjoy a truly relaxing time. In particular, the panoramic open-air bath on the 7th floor offered breathtaking views. We would love to visit again.

The Facility is a bit old, but it was very clean and extremely comfortable. The meals were standard, but the content and portions were just right for an elderly couple; everything was delicious and we finished it all. The bath was clean with a great view. The open-air bath in particular was a cypress bath with an excellent view, and it was wonderful. If we have the opportunity, we would definitely like to stay again.

We stayed here for his birthday trip, and everything—from the hospitality and amenities to the views and meals—was truly top-class. We definitely want to come back someday. Thank you for a wonderful time.

This was my first stay, and I stayed in a wonderful Room renovated from a warehouse, where I could enjoy a Scandinavian atmosphere. Breakfast was also very stylish—cheese, bread, soup, and fruit—and I really enjoyed it. During my stay, the Hakodate fireworks festival happened to be on, so I was able to enjoy both the night sky and the night view of Hakodate. Over two days, I also went golfing during the daytime; it’s about 30–40 minutes from the Hotel, so I felt it’s perfect for a sightseeing + golf trip as well. All of the Hotel staff were very kind and attentive, and I truly appreciate all the explanations and advice they provided. I would definitely like to stay again.

Thank you very much for your kind hospitality the other day. The location was excellent, and we really enjoyed sightseeing—taking a walk from this Hotel to Dogo Onsen’s Haikara Street and watching the Karakuri Clock in motion. The late-night snack of simmered sea bream head was especially delicious; I almost wanted to ask for the recipe. Thank you for giving us such a wonderful time during our trip.

I was drawn in by the Hotel photos on Yahoo! Travel. The Room was very spacious, with an open and clean feel, and I was able to relax comfortably. The open-air bath was a good size, the sauna was clean, and I personally found the cold plunge temperature very pleasant. The meals were also delicious. I would love to stay again.

The made-to-order breakfast options are simply outstanding. The buffet is also well stocked, with a wide variety of drinks. I’ve only stayed in the twin Room, but it’s very clean and comfortable. The size is decent. The lounge is a calm space where you can read while enjoying delicious coffee. The staff are all very pleasant, and I think it’s a great Hotel. If I had to nitpick… the parking lot is a bit narrow. When large cars are parked there, it can be quite difficult to get in. Also, when the lot right next door is full, you have no choice but to park at the second lot a few blocks away. It’s fairly far, so it’s tough if you have lots of luggage or on extremely hot days. The Room was spacious and very clean. We were told the Room only had a shower, so we chose a Room with an open-air bath, but it was disappointing that it wasn’t an Onsen. The large public bath was neither too hot nor too lukewarm—just the right temperature for me—so I could relax and enjoy it. It was a bit disappointing that the trees around the open-air bath were so thick that we couldn’t see the stars or the moon. All of the dishes were delicious, and my elderly mother was very happy as well. We had requested sea bream chazuke, but they also served us the original course’s burdock takikomi rice, and everything was delicious. The strawberry yokan for dessert had a wonderful sweet-and-tart flavor—I liked it so much I wanted to buy some to take home! Thank you for the wonderful meal.
