The room I stayed in felt outdated overall, and the three-piece unit bathroom was particularly small and inconvenient. However, everything else was clean and well-maintained. The view from the accommodation lived up to its reputation as a "scenic inn," offering stunning sunsets. A sandy beach is just a short walk away, making it ideal for swimming in summer. Guests can enjoy a private open-air bath once for free. There are two options: a cypress bath and a larger-than-usual tub bath; I recommend the tub bath for its size. Although the public bath lacked scenic views, I had it all to myself during my visit, allowing me to relax fully with plenty of space. The meals were exceptional both morning and evening—highly recommended for sashimi or seafood lovers! The spiny lobster sashimi was sweet and incredibly delicious. The next morning's spiny lobster miso soup had rich flavors from the broth and was equally delightful. The staff were friendly and welcoming, making this an accommodation I'd love to visit again!

We stayed at this accommodation for our first trip to Yufuin from Tokyo and to celebrate a birthday. At first, we were surprised that the staff were mostly foreigners, but then a Japanese staff member came out and provided very polite service. The room was spacious with a soothing aroma of tea that made us feel relaxed. The private open-air onsen was amazing with great ambiance and water quality, plus there was something like a courtyard which made it feel even more spacious and wonderful! I love onsens so much that I visit private open-air ones twice a month, but this one was truly exceptional compared to others I've experienced. There is also a family bath with beautiful views of Mount Yufu. The creative dinner dishes were delicious and satisfying, but what touched me the most was the thoughtful birthday celebration service they provided—thank you so much! This accommodation exceeded my expectations, and I would definitely love to stay here again!

About 25 years ago, I visited the Katsuura Morning Market with my children and had a great time, so I went again this time. This time it was the three of us: my wife, my mother-in-law, and me. Both Katsuura Beach and the morning market were close by, so the location was perfect. There was no large public bath—only an in-room bath (available 24 hours)—and it wasn’t an Onsen, which was a bit disappointing, but my mother-in-law was very satisfied. Dinner was Japanese-Western (French? Italian?), and I felt a little sorry for my mother-in-law, but she seemed happy with it, so all good. The photos include some taken while we were eating and even after we finished (lol).

It’s not a flashy Accommodation, but it was very clean and well maintained, and we had a comfortable stay. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious. The value for money is outstanding. The thoughtful touches—like the whale chopstick rests at mealtimes and the whale clock on the dining room wall—were heartwarming. There are no shops around the Accommodation, so after dinner, please relax and enjoy your time inside.

Just a few minutes’ walk from Amanohashidate Station, the location was extremely convenient for sightseeing. It was also great to be able to view Amanohashidate from the Room window. The Onsen was at just the right temperature for me, and I could relax and enjoy a long soak. Both dinner and breakfast were satisfying. In particular, the shabu-shabu meat was outstanding, and it paired perfectly with the citrus-scented ponzu sauce. The steamed white rice had a natural sweetness and was very delicious. The staff were warm and welcoming, making our stay comfortable. One concern was the smoking environment. Although the guest Rooms are non-smoking, there is a smoking area in the hallway, so cigarette smoke drifted into the Room. As a non-smoker, this was disappointing and was my only complaint. Overall, it was an Accommodation with a high level of satisfaction. It had an authentic Ryokan atmosphere that you can’t experience at a large Hotel, allowing us to fully enjoy our trip.

My family of three stayed for one night. It was a very clean Hotel, and we could see JR trains from the window. Because it is right in front of the station, it is very convenient and easy to stay at. When we visit Bibai again, we would like to stay here again. Breakfast was free and we were satisfied. Drinks were buffet-style, so we could choose what we liked, such as coffee, juice, and milk. We were very satisfied.

We stayed for two nights as a base for sightseeing in Sapporo and Otaru during our Hokkaido trip. The location is excellent—almost directly connected to Tanukikoji Shopping Street and close to Odori Park and Susukino. Breakfast was outstanding, with Hokkaido specialties like seafood bowls and salmon roe, plus delicious bread. The unit bath is standard and the Room key isn’t a card key, so some parts of the Facility feel a bit dated, but everything is well maintained and very clean.

I stayed here in July and again this September while sightseeing in Miyako City and Jodogahama. It’s quiet by the sea. There’s a convenience store nearby, and Sea Pier Nado is about a 5-minute walk away. The Room is a tatami-style Room with a soothing, traditional inn-like scent, and it’s fairly spacious. Dinner was generous, seafood-focused, and delicious. Breakfast came with side dishes and salad. For both breakfast and dinner, rice, miso soup, and prepared dishes are served buffet-style. Everything was tasty. I also liked the atmosphere of the old-fashioned local building. I’d like to stay here again when visiting Miyako City and Jodogahama. Thank you very much.

We stayed for five nights during Silver Week. On the first day, we arrived right at the last check-in time, but the owner waited for us—thank you so much. That night, we were also able to see a beautiful starry sky. The room had all the essential amenities, and we were very comfortable. There was also a hose at the entrance to rinse off sand and mud, which was very convenient for washing our feet after playing on the beach behind the property. During our stay, we accidentally stained the sheets, but they replaced them immediately without charging any extra fee. We truly appreciated their kind help. When we searched on Google, we found there are various great cafes nearby as well. Ishigaki Island is truly beautiful, and we had a wonderful stay. If we have a chance to visit Ishigaki again, we would definitely love to stay here again!

[Note: Room Condition] I stayed for a 4-night Multiple Night Stay in a 15-tatami Japanese-style Room with No Meals Included. It felt like using a futon set up in a small banquet hall of a day-use Onsen Facility. I was initially concerned that there was no toilet in the Room, but it was clean and I didn’t run into anyone during my stay, so it wasn’t an issue. Fresh towels, amenities, and very tasty tea snacks were delivered every day. For dinner, I could freely choose depending on my mood—warming up convenience-store food in the microwave or having meals delivered from the dining hall. If I asked, they brought cups and ice as well, and all the staff were pleasant, which made it very relaxing. I love traveling and have stayed at many Accommodations, but this became one of my favorites.

We stayed here as a couple. It was great that Kumano Taisha Shrine is right in front of the Accommodation, so we could visit during the day, at night, and early in the morning. The Onsen was also spacious and very relaxing, and soaking in the bath helped relieve our travel fatigue. We were amazed by the wide variety of dinner options! We would love to stay here again. I wasn’t originally planning to visit Kurokawa Onsen, but a friend recommended it, so I looked for an Accommodation available on my dates and decided to stay. I’m sorry for being rude, but I didn’t have very high expectations. When I entered the Room, it had underfloor heating—even in the washroom. The in-room bath was spacious, and the water quality was excellent; it was such a pleasant Onsen that I wanted to soak again and again. I stayed for two nights. The meals felt carefully prepared with great attention to detail. With course-style feasts you can sometimes start to feel overwhelmed, but that never happened here—strangely enough. I don’t know if it was the chef’s sense and skill, the seasoning, or the choice of ingredients and menu, but everything was truly delicious. I was completely satisfied and felt genuinely happy. After dinner we returned to our Room, and they had warmed our sandals—thank you for such thoughtful care. Thank you as well to all the lovely staff. I hope to visit again. Thank you very much for taking care of us.

This was my second visit to Izumo Taisha, and my first stay at Yunokawa. I chose it for the private bath that can be used anytime. It was a wonderful private bath, and I was very satisfied. For dinner, I ordered Shimane beef. I didn’t know much about it and simply wanted to try something local, but it was incredibly delicious. I was also impressed by how kind every staff member was. I would like to stay at this Hotel again the next time I visit Izumo.

We stayed for one night and had a wonderful time. The building is old, but it feels clean and well maintained. Dinner was the Pine course, featuring grilled dancing abalone and snow crab. Each dish was carefully prepared—delicious and beautifully presented with vibrant colors. The portions were more than enough, but we enjoyed everything. The baths are small individually, but we were able to enjoy four unique types of baths and spend a relaxing time together as a couple.

The staff’s thoughtful hospitality, the dinner and breakfast, and the view from our Room were all wonderful, making this a truly memorable stay. The nostalgic Showa-era retro atmosphere throughout the building was also very impressive and gave us a comforting feeling, as if we were visiting my grandmother’s home. In particular, the simmered splendid alfonsino served at dinner was exquisite, and we were very satisfied with the wide variety of dishes. However, because everything was so delicious, there was more food than we could finish, which made us feel a bit sorry. If possible, having an option to reduce 2–3 items or cut back on heavier dishes such as hot pot dishes—while enhancing signature items like sashimi—would make the experience even more appealing. Housekeeping was thorough and we stayed comfortably, but we did notice some signs of age in parts of the Facility, so we hope repairs will continue little by little. This is an Accommodation we would definitely like to use again.

The dinner sashimi boat platter was very luxurious. The rice was delicious, and I ended up having three heaping bowls. Thank you very much.

We stayed here as two couples in our 70s. The Room and Facility were very clean and well maintained. The service was also good, but the Onsen was especially wonderful. The water was excellent, and we enjoyed it many times. We would love to stay again.

We were completely satisfied with our stay. The food was especially delicious, and the sashimi was outstanding. The proprietress’s hospitality was attentive and thoughtful. We traveled with our 9-month-old baby, and we truly appreciated the considerate care in many situations. We were also celebrating my husband’s 70th birthday, and they kindly took that into consideration as well. The natural hot spring bath was excellent, with a very comfortable temperature. If I had to wish for one thing, it would be a view to the outside from the bath. Thank you very much for taking such good care of us. We also safely received our forgotten item.

I stayed in a twin Room. The amenities were abundant, and although they needed to be returned the next morning, you could choose and bring them to your Room. The Room was clean and spacious enough. The seafood at breakfast was incredibly delicious. There were also salads, grilled fish, curry, and bread, so I ended up eating too much. I plan to stay here again next time!

I stayed here on the first day of a three-day holiday weekend to fully enjoy Kasumi crab, which was the highlight of this trip. I booked the full-course meal featuring extra-large Kasumi crab (top-grade “Bangani” class). From crab sashimi, boiled crab, grilled crab, shell miso grilling, tempura, crab shabu-shabu, to a crab hot pot, I was able to savor Kasumi crab in many different styles. What impressed me most were the crab sashimi and the shabu-shabu—both were equally delicious. I was also very satisfied with the service, such as having the grilled crab prepared right in front of me. The portion size was just right. For the final rice porridge (zosui), I added some reserved crab meat and enjoyed it until the very end. The drinks—especially sake—were reasonably priced as well, which I appreciated. For bathing, I reserved a private semi-open-air bath. It cost about JPY 2,000 for 45 minutes. There were two types—a hinoki (cypress) bath and a tiled bath—and even the water temperature differed between them. I was very pleased with both. In terms of facilities, there is no refrigerator in the room and you need to borrow a hair dryer from reception. Some guests may find this slightly inconvenient. However, all staff were welcoming from check-in onward, and I had a comfortable stay overall. Even though it was during a busy holiday weekend, considering the quality and volume of the meals along with the baths and hospitality, it felt like an excellent value. I’m grateful that I could truly enjoy delicious Kasumi crab while having such a pleasant stay. This is an inn I would definitely like to visit again. Thank you very much.
