This was a wonderful Accommodation that truly captured the spirit of Rausu, with a great atmosphere overall. The interior and guest room design, featuring extensive use of wood, was especially impressive and felt perfectly suited to the local character. The kelp tea (kombu-yu) served at check-in was delicious, and I appreciated this Rausu-style hospitality. The Onsen temperature was just right, making it very relaxing. On the other hand, there were a few areas that could be improved to make the stay even better. There was a slightly noticeable odor in some shared areas and near the elevators. Also, since Rausu is such an amazing destination, having a minibar in the room with local beer and dairy products would make the stay feel even more connected to the region. Regarding meals as well, because both the Accommodation itself and its location are so appealing, I felt that incorporating more local ingredients and stronger Rausu character would further increase satisfaction. The staff were very polite, and I really liked both the Onsen and the building itself, so I hope it continues to improve even more in the future.

I made my first Reservation at this Hotel because a friend staying with me wanted to bring their dog. The owner and his wife were very friendly and easy to talk to. The Room had a standard unit bath, but the large stone communal bath was spacious and very relaxing. The best part here is the food. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, and we left completely full. It’s a Hotel I’d visit just for the meals. I’d definitely like to stay again.

Our family of five stayed here. The staff were very welcoming, and we were impressed by the seasonal dishes. The portions were more than satisfying, and the rice was delicious. The garden plants and trees were beautifully maintained. In the evening and early morning, we spotted baby frogs and black-winged damselflies, which delighted our children.

The autumn kaiseki meal was delicious, featuring a perfect balance of seafood and mountain delicacies, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Although the town center was bustling with activity, this place offered a calm and serene atmosphere that was truly relaxing.

There were so many places I wanted to explore, and since this Accommodation near Lake Towada looked like it had delicious meals, I made a Reservation.^^ Every staff member was warm and welcoming, and I had a very comfortable stay. The food was outstanding—just as the Reviews said! I regret eating ramen at a weird time... The portions are very generous, so I recommend arriving really hungry (;_;) I was also lucky to be able to use the bath privately—it was spacious and relaxing. If I have the chance to visit Aomori again, I’d love to stay here again. Thank you very much!

This Hotel, renovated from a merchant house over 170 years old, offers a unique and charming atmosphere. While the building retains its historical essence, the guest rooms and facilities are clean and designed for comfort, ensuring a pleasant stay. There was no television in the room; instead, magazines and books related to Nagasaki and Shimabara were provided. These were fascinating reads that enhanced the sense of escape from daily life. In fact, I even noted down some authors and titles of books I couldn't finish. What stood out most was how friendly and approachable the staff were. They shared many stories about Shimabara, making my time there truly special. Breakfast was produced by "Oryouri Madoka," their partner restaurant. The carefully prepared dishes were incredibly delicious—especially the rice cooked in an earthen pot, which had an unforgettable taste with perfectly textured grains. Any leftovers were kindly made into rice balls for me to take along on my journey home. This time I chose a breakfast-included Plan but learned that dinner by "Oryouri Madoka" is also available with another Plan. I would love to try it next time! Although my stay in Shimabara lasted only 24 hours, it was filled with rich experiences. Thank you very much!

This is a secluded riverside Accommodation deep in the mountains, with the soothing sound of the river. Dinner was delicious. It was my first time trying basashi (horse sashimi), and it was tender and very tasty. Every dish was carefully prepared, and my spouse and I kept saying, “This is so good,” as we ate. The bath was wonderful—I went in three times. In the early morning, we visited Hagoromo Falls near the Accommodation. The waterfall twists into multiple layers like draped feather robes, and it’s truly impressive. You’ll climb uphill for about 10 minutes at first, but after that it becomes flat. I highly recommend going.

The food is absolutely delicious and makes you feel so happy! Dinner featured a variety of fish, all incredibly fresh and tasty. The crispy skin, tender meat, and perfectly paired sauce were simply exquisite. The wine and sake recommended for pairing enhanced the dishes beautifully, making it hard to stop drinking. The Room with tatami mats was very relaxing. The view of the canal from both the dining area and the Room was stunning—such a wonderful place to stay. Breakfast was also amazing, with sashimi, grilled fish, rice, eggs—everything so delicious that I couldn’t stop going back for seconds in the morning! I can’t wait to visit again!!

The food, the Room, and the warm hospitality from the Hotel staff were all wonderful—we were completely satisfied. Everything we ate was delicious. The spiny lobster sashimi and assorted fish sashimi were very fresh and truly excellent. The Matsusaka beef was amazing, the abalone was delicious, and all of the other dishes were great as well. It felt very luxurious. The breakfast horse mackerel mirin-dried fish was tender and incredibly tasty, and even the seaweed—smoked over charcoal—was thoughtfully prepared. The complimentary breakfast coffee service was also excellent. The coffee machine was a De’Longhi. In the Room, there was a De’Longhi Icona kettle, Narumi coffee saucers, and quality sweets (Shell Raines)—everything provided was top-notch. We were able to relax in our guest Room with an open-air bath. With an ocean view and the sound of the waves, we enjoyed a truly special escape from everyday life. Thank you as well for responding so quickly to an unexpected issue. We learned a lot about true hospitality here. We would love to visit again.

We stayed as three generations of our family. We were traveling with our twin fourth-graders who have autism and intellectual disabilities. In a typical Hotel, we would need to be constantly mindful of those around us, so we searched for an Accommodation where we could stay privately and found this place. We were truly grateful to be able to relax without worrying about others even if the children suddenly shouted or became noisy in the middle of the night. The staff were also understanding about disabilities, which made us feel safe and comfortable throughout our stay. The artwork displayed inside, created by people with disabilities, was wonderful as well and gave the space a warm atmosphere. Because we could cook for ourselves, it was easy to prepare meals that suited our children’s picky eating habits without forcing anything. We also appreciated the beautiful tableware and well-stocked amenities. The adults enjoyed cooking with Maezawa beef and local sake we purchased nearby. Sharing meals together around the counter was a very happy time for all of us. Another highlight was being able to fully enjoy the charm of this traditional house—the solid, historic feel; the morning views; the sunset; and the sounds of nature outside—at a relaxed pace in complete privacy. In summer, insects do come inside, but even that felt like part of an authentic experience of nature in this area. Our parents also said they would love to come again. We highly recommend this Accommodation to families looking for a place to travel with children with disabilities.

We stayed at Albas rather than the main building. Everything was spotless, and the sauna, jacuzzi, and loft were all wonderful! Sunrise may be hard to catch, but we could see the sunset and it was truly amazing.\nHowever, perhaps because the main building is a bit older, we noticed several spiders on the window during our meal, which bothered us a little. Other than that, the food was delicious and it’s a place we’d love to visit again. Thank you!

At the very end of summer vacation, my husband and son insisted on coming here for glamping. As a woman, I was honestly a bit nervous about the Facility and meals—but it was simply the best. 【Check-in】 They explained the Facility to us. At the marché, there were vibrant vegetables and even seafood in a large tank! Some items are free, and others can be exchanged with coins you receive—choosing what to get was so exciting. We booked a Plan with dinner and breakfast included, but the portions were incredible. Even my big-eating husband and son had more than enough with what was included in the Plan! (Any unused coins could be saved for Shizuoka souvenirs or even kept for our next stay.) In the firewood area, there were many different types of wood. The Room already has firewood for cooking, but here you can choose wood to enjoy different sounds and aromas. 【Room】 It felt spotless, and we had no worries about odors or temperature. There are two BBQ areas—one indoors and one outdoors. The indoor side (with an earthen-floor style space) has a kitchen and a large ventilation duct, plus air conditioning, so smoke doesn’t come into the living area. The Room was extremely clean and beautiful. I expected some bugs or smells with glamping—and heat in summer—but it was surprisingly comfortable. There’s a double-sink vanity, two types of hair dryers (including a Repronizer), and even hair irons provided. In addition to pajamas, they also provide samue loungewear for dinner (for both adults and children), so there’s no need to take home clothes that smell like food. 【Onsen & Sauna】 There is an Onsen connected directly to both indoor and outdoor baths, plus a barrel sauna and an impressive cold plunge pool. Ponchos and hats are also available. The bedroom is separated from the bath/changing area/vanity area, so it works well even for two families traveling together. 【Meals】 The commercial refrigerator was stocked with juices, alcoholic drinks, and ice cream! With stylish camping gear like skillets and mess tins—along with ingredients & recipes—our 10-year-old son enthusiastically cooked for us. The thick Shizuoka beef was so tender you barely needed teeth… even the abalone was truly soft! For breakfast you can choose Japanese or Western style; either way it was delicious and satisfying. All of the staff were very kind. We enjoyed luxury-Hotel-level comfort while still experiencing the freedom that makes glamping special. We’ll definitely be back when the season changes!

We stayed during the New Year holidays and, although we didn’t have high expectations due to the reasonable price, the meals exceeded our expectations with luxurious ingredients like matsutake mushrooms, crab, and fugu. Everything was absolutely delicious. The front desk staff and serving staff were very friendly and welcoming. The bath facilities seemed a bit aged, but the showerhead appeared to be newly replaced as it worked well. The location is excellent as it’s close to Kyoto Station, making it very convenient—especially during the New Year holidays—and we felt it was worth more than what we paid. Complimentary coffee, water, and hot water are available next to the front desk. For smokers, there are chairs and an ashtray located by the entrance.

The location was excellent, with a small beach behind the accommodation where we could enjoy exploring the shore. The view of the sea from our room was stunning, and we could gaze at it endlessly. Dinner was part of the standard plan, and every dish was delicious and satisfying. The standout dishes were the sashimi and grilled salt-seasoned red shrimp, which were exceptional. Even the rice was sweet, glossy, and incredibly tasty—it left a lasting impression. We also appreciated having a private dining space where our family could relax and enjoy our meal together. Although we didn’t use the bath facilities, everything in this older accommodation was well-maintained and very clean, making for a comfortable stay. This has become an accommodation we would love to visit again!

This is a Ryokan where you can fully enjoy a nostalgic Showa-era atmosphere. Service was handled mainly by just two people: the proprietress and someone who seemed to be the manager. Aside from us as a couple, there was only one family of three, so we felt they probably accept only about four groups per day. The building is said to be nearly 100 years old, so some age is unavoidable, but the toilets had washlets and Wi‑Fi worked as well. We had no particular inconveniences. Both the kaiseki dinner and the Shokado bento breakfast were delicious, and since we had recently grown tired of large buffet halls, we were very satisfied. There are three Onsen baths including an open-air bath; we used two of them. At first the water was a bit too hot to get in right away, but we adjusted it by adding cold water. The water quality was good. It may not suit those who prioritize newness and convenience, but for those from the Showa generation it felt nostalgic and was more than satisfying as an Accommodation. We were a little worried because there are extremely few Reviews, but we’re glad we stayed here.

We visited with a group of 7 for a motorcycle touring trip. Upon arrival, the hostess quickly came out to guide us to the parking area, showing thoughtful consideration for the noise. She promptly guided us to our room and provided a brief explanation of the facilities, allowing us to relax in no time. The bath has three shower stations, but as long as everyone doesn't go at once, it’s not inconvenient. It was available 24 hours, so we could enjoy it multiple times—after arrival, before bed, and in the morning—which was great. The highlight was dinner: an array of freshly prepared fish dishes including sashimi, simmered fish, grilled fish, and fried fish that paired perfectly with beer and sake! The finishing touch of tsumire soup was exceptional. However, two members in their 40s-50s couldn’t finish their portions—a rare occurrence—and we apologize to the hostess for this mishap! After dinner, we used the refrigerator in the hallway and enjoyed drinks in our room with plenty of ice provided. Overindulging led us straight to bed until breakfast greeted us—a satisfying lineup of side dishes accompanied by delicious rice that had everyone going back for seconds! Despite some areas still requiring repairs from earthquake damage (e.g., walls), we appreciated how well-maintained and clean everything was throughout the accommodation. Overall feedback from all members is that this is an excellent accommodation with high satisfaction levels. We look forward to visiting again when your sushi plan resumes!

I used this place for a reunion, and the sunset view from the Room was truly beautiful. The next morning, the weather was great, and the ocean view was stunning. The staff who assisted us responded to numerous requests and questions with kindness and without hesitation. The food was not only delicious but also included thoughtful touches like ice cream service, which made it very satisfying. The bathwater was quite hot (personal preference), and I thought having curtains in the changing area would be even better, but everything felt clean overall. The beautiful scenery and delicious food became truly memorable experiences. Thank you very much!
