The facility is somewhat old-fashioned, with water facilities reflecting a bygone era. It may not be suitable for those accustomed to the latest amenities, but I found the retro and calming atmosphere of the café space to match well with the interior of the Ryokan. The bath had a limited capacity, requiring some consideration, but there was no crowding, and using the bathing area was smooth. The bathtub was filled with many floating citrus fruits (zabon), which gave off a wonderful fragrance. We only requested breakfast, which featured standard Ryokan-style dishes with plenty of side dishes to accompany rice. It left us feeling very full. One highlight was meeting the resident cats! At designated times, we visited their room where four cats were present—just watching them was soothing. The hostess kindly ensured that everyone could interact with them comfortably, and even children enjoyed themselves thoroughly. Around the front desk were various cat-themed items that showcased their love for cats clearly. Our children adored the cats so much that they said they want to visit again! If we have another chance in the future, we would love to return here again!

Dinner requires a Reservation, and this Hotel actually serves excellent food. The seasoning and preparation felt very careful and attentive. The Room is clean, spacious, and well maintained. The front desk staff are also kind. Breakfast is buffet-style; the selection isn’t large, but everything is delicious.

My first trip to Fukui, and my first time driving on snowy roads. I headed there feeling anxious because a heavy snow warning was in effect, but I’m truly glad I went. We stayed for one night and two days to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday. The snowy scenery was so beautiful—I could have watched it forever—and we had such a wonderful time. At night, we snuggled up with an electric blanket and slept warmly. In the morning, we played in the snow together, and the jacuzzi was so amazing that we used it twice! We didn’t use the meal service; instead, we shopped near the station, brought everything back, and cooked for ourselves. There were plenty of seasonings available too, so we really enjoyed cooking together. No Meals Included is highly recommended. It was such a wonderful Accommodation that I almost didn’t want anyone else to know about it. The staff member Mima was very kind—by morning they had cleared the snow off our car and even shoveled snow for us—so we felt safe and comfortable throughout our stay. We’d love to visit again. This was our first stay here. My husband enjoys searching for Accommodations when we travel, and we found this place through a Review site. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with a welcome drink. After that, we enjoyed Japanese-style relaxation in the free private bath, then went from one bath to another—the historic marble bath and the panoramic-view bath. Once we were refreshed, we savored dishes made with plenty of local ingredients, and the pudding dessert was unbelievably delicious. After dinner, there was complimentary service in the first-floor lounge: homemade alcoholic drinks and juices, small desserts, and snacks. You can relax at your own pace while listening to music. Breakfast was just as lavish—freshly cooked Hitomebore rice that was glossy and wonderfully chewy with tasty side dishes. On top of that, the ochazuke made with the Accommodation’s signature dashi is outstanding, so getting a second helping of rice is a must. On departure, they even gave us freshly baked croissants as a gift—truly attentive in every way. We are grateful for the staff’s warm hospitality. This is an Accommodation we would definitely love to visit again.

I stayed here last October, and this was my second visit. It’s a new, clean Ryokan, and both the proprietress and the staff were very pleasant. The meals were full of seafood, and I was completely satisfied. However, the changing area in the bath was cold, and the floor there was also cold. The bathwater in the tub was lukewarm as well, so I didn’t feel very warmed up, which was disappointing.

This was my first stay, and the staff’s smiles felt genuine—not forced. Thank you to everyone for such a relaxing time. It was a Room that allows dogs, but there was hardly any animal or ammonia smell. We brought two dogs, and we were not bothered by any odor in the Room. Thank you for a wonderful time. I didn’t want to think about work starting again the next day. We’ll be back when it gets a little cooler.

We stayed with our family of three and one Chihuahua. The facility was very clean, and the room's kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed, which was impressive. The public bath and open-air Onsen were small but very clean with great water quality. We were able to relax and enjoy the Onsen peacefully. We were extremely satisfied with the facility, and even our daughter said she wants to visit again. If I may suggest, it would be helpful to have more information about dog-friendly shops or facilities around the hotel or in the Yamanaka Onsen area. It was hard to find such information online for this area... But overall, we had a wonderful time! We definitely want to stay again. Thank you so much!

The Facility isn’t particularly new, but it has two large public baths and was very comfortable. The Room our family stayed in was quite spacious, and the kids were thrilled. There is no toilet in the Room, but it was just outside and very close. Since it’s not an in-room toilet, we can’t bring a towel every time, so it would be helpful if disposable paper towels for drying hands were available in the restroom. One strange thing: the TV turned on several times even though we hadn’t touched the remote. When it suddenly turned on in the middle of the night while we were sleeping, it woke us up.

We stayed here for a celebration, and the meals, room, and service were all excellent—our whole family was very happy. If I had to ask for one thing, it would be perfect if both large public baths had an open-air bath and a sauna. Still, the in-room open-air bath was amazing—I even enjoyed it alone with a beer! The celebration cake, the drinks and sweets in the lounge, dinner and breakfast, and all the complimentary items and beverages were wonderful. The guest of honor—and our entire family—were truly impressed. Next time, I’d love to bring my parents as well; we look forward to staying with you again then.

About 30 years ago, I visited Kumihama for a day at the beach, and this time I came with my daughter, who is between jobs, after finishing caregiving for my father. The detached villa is about a 3-minute drive from the main building where breakfast and dinner are served, set along Kumihama Bay beyond a wooded path that keeps it completely private from outside view. The beautifully maintained lawn garden was stunning—like a Scandinavian holiday home. Inside, everything was spotless, and there was even a space to lie down and relax while looking out over the bay—an exceptional experience. Meals are served in private rooms in the main building, but they provide Shuttle Service by car, so there’s nothing to worry about. I was captivated by the crystal-clear flavors of the fish dishes—something you simply can’t find in the Tokyo area—and felt as if my whole body had been cleansed. Most guests seemed to be from the Kansai region, and there were no inbound travelers either. This is a truly superb hidden resort—so please don’t tell too many friends!

This was my first trip to Sado. It was a very homey Accommodation, and the meals were lavish and delicious—I was very satisfied. The welcome drumming by the grandchildren was adorable, and it made me very happy! It’s not easy for me to make it all the way to Sado, but this is an Accommodation I’d love to visit again if I get the chance!

Thank you very much for your hospitality. The three of us—my 92-year-old mother, my husband, and I—found and chose this Accommodation online, and everything was excellent. We were able to relax in the renovated Japanese-style Room and bedroom. Although it is an Accommodation where you can stay with your dog, it felt very clean, and it seemed that every corner was thoroughly cleaned. The meals were also very delicious, and the boat platter was more than we could finish. It was disappointing that we couldn’t go cruising due to the typhoon, but since it was before summer vacation there were no crowds, we could get around smoothly, and we fully enjoyed a wonderful trip to Izu. Thank you again. We would love to stay here again.

Enjoy a comfortable stay with exclusive use of the entire house. An AEON store is next door, making it convenient for shopping, though the AEON grounds are large, so we recommend going by bicycle. Dinner at the neighboring sushi restaurant (owner-operated) is highly recommended—the fresh tuna is exceptional and we really enjoyed it.

The entire Facility was spotless. The staff were very kind, and dinner was delicious with plenty of volume, including meat and seafood. Breakfast also exceeded our expectations, with lots of tasty bread. The in-Room coffee was authentic and freshly ground from beans, and cups and glasses were provided. The refrigerator had complimentary mineral water—two bottles per person. What impressed me most was that bathing amenities (towels, face masks, a brush, razor, body towel, slippers, etc.) were thoughtfully prepared to match each guest’s gender and age. I don’t think you often find a glamping Facility this well equipped. It also felt reassuring that staff seemed to patrol until quite late at night. If I had to mention one drawback: the toilets on the glamping side were unisex, and the door lock was a bit hard to secure. My husband had no issues at all, but I used the toilets in the separate Facility a short walk away. Still, there were play areas like wooden swings and a trampoline, and we could enjoy stargazing by the bonfire next to our Room. The kids loved it so much they said they want to come back—overall we were extremely satisfied! It’s a wonderful Facility where you can really feel the staff’s thoughtful attention. Our whole family had a great experience. Thank you very much.

I’ve stayed here several times. The property has both a jacuzzi and a sauna, which is perfect for us bath lovers—plenty of chances to work up a sweat. At the same time, there’s cold beer waiting in the fridge, ready to quench your thirst. The BBQ spread is also generous: beef, pork, sausages, shellfish, shrimp, vegetables—everything disappears quickly along with the beer. In early summer on Awaji Island there are lots of fresh vegetables like onions and sweet potatoes, so we were able to enjoy plenty of freshly grilled produce. We left Awaji Island the next day wishing we could live like this every day—and it’s also a big plus that it’s close enough to get home in just an hour.

It’s a Showa-era retro Accommodation, but it was well cleaned and we had a comfortable stay. The meals were simply too lavish!! For dinner shabu-shabu, I was surprised that the amount of meat you’d normally get for about three people at a typical Accommodation was served as a single portion. The seafood was also fresh and very delicious. The meal is very filling, so I recommend arriving with an empty stomach. We were told we could take the dessert fruit back to our Room if we couldn’t finish it, so we enjoyed it after our bath. Breakfast included freshly cooked rice from a traditional kamado stove and plenty of side dishes. Everything was delicious. The after-meal coffee was also appreciated. We also used the rock bath, which had a great atmosphere. Since it was a relatively warm day, it wasn’t uncomfortably cold, which was nice. All the staff were very kind, and I thought the service was excellent. We made wonderful travel memories. Thank you very much.

I was looking for a room with an open-air bath through online reservations, and among the many options I reviewed, this accommodation stood out as particularly appealing. This was my first time using your service. The online reservation process was smooth. Although the front desk was closed on the day of my stay due to it being a holiday for the ryokan, prior email communication allowed me to inquire and receive polite responses. While I felt that quicker response times would have been even better, I truly appreciated the courteous support. Upon arrival at the accommodation, it exceeded my expectations based on the images I had seen. The room had already been pre-cooled with air conditioning to ensure comfort upon entry. The ambiance of the room was excellent, and attention to detail in its design stood out. The bathroom featured both a regular shower and a ceiling shower, while amenities like shampoo had pleasant fragrances. The provided loungewear for relaxing in-room had a nice texture against the skin. However, I found that using the sink area together with another person felt slightly cramped, and similarly, the toilet space felt a bit tight. The raised tatami area in our guestroom was superbly crafted. If I visit this area again or have friends looking for recommendations, I will definitely suggest this place—and would love to stay here myself once more.
