This was my second stay. I stayed for one night with the goal of relaxing and unwinding away from everyday chores, work, and everything else. I really love the quiet, calming space—there’s everything you need and nothing unnecessary. The place is also very well cleaned, so I can stay comfortably without any stress. The meal (this time pork shabu-shabu) was very filling. This time I brought a little sashimi and some snacks, and had the somen noodles to finish the shabu-shabu as breakfast the next morning. The broth was incredibly delicious, and while both the meat and vegetables were great, the onions in particular were sweet and amazing. On the drive home, we ended up chatting excitedly about coming back again next autumn (laughs). In short, I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to spend a “luxury” getaway doing nothing but relaxing at a slow pace.

The pool is one of the largest in the prefecture with views reminiscent of Ubud in Bali and slightly warm water temperature that made it truly enjoyable. All the staff provided exceptional hospitality, which I believe is one of this Hotel's outstanding features. I will visit

We stayed in Yokohama on the first day, visited Yokosuka on the second day, and decided to stay overnight on the Miura Peninsula. The Accommodation is a renovated historic building, and it beautifully preserves the original design from that time inside—it was truly atmospheric and moving. Our child was also surprised at how spacious and clean it was. Miura may not have the flashy feel of other tourist spots, but we were impressed by how many buildings have a nostalgic, old-fashioned charm. In the evening we went to a nearby seafood restaurant, and it was outstanding. I also highly recommend taking the Nijiiro Sakana-go boat tour. The staff at the Accommodation were very kind as well. This was my first stay in Yufuin, and I chose this Accommodation. The staff’s hospitality was very pleasant, and both dinner and breakfast were a delight—each dish was not only delicious but also beautifully presented, making it a truly blissful time. The Onsen was wonderful as well; after bathing, my skin felt silky smooth. Another Accommodation I’d love to visit again has been added to my list.

As many guests have said, this is an outstanding Hotel. From the moment you step inside, you immediately understand why it is the Imperial Hotel—thanks to the serene atmosphere and the refined hospitality of the staff. Our Room was a tatami-style Room in the North Wing, at eye level with Gion’s traditional Kyoto townhouses, and enjoying Kawakami’s breakfast there was such an elegant experience that we almost forgot we were in a Hotel. This Hotel was the very purpose of our trip to Kagawa Prefecture. We didn’t do any sightseeing at all, but from the bottom of my heart I’m so glad we came. Throughout the entire Facility, we could feel the owners’ attention to detail and refined sense of beauty in every corner, and at the same time we were truly grateful for their warm hospitality toward guests. Vintage and modern, Japan and Europe—things that are completely different were seamlessly combined through their sensibility. The interior design, the cuisine, and even its presentation were all wonderful and deeply inspiring. The old sofa in our Room had real character, was very comfortable to sit on, and matched perfectly with the modern furniture. Over time, the linen has developed such a beautiful color! I could really understand why the owner is so particular about that sofa. Also, since I’ve been considering buying the chair at the writing desk myself, I was happy to be able to try how it feels to sit in it. Everything they have selected was fascinating and exciting. Above all, their personalities are wonderful—we definitely want to come back again. (A stylish husband and an adorable wife!!) We’d love to stay in other Rooms as well, and see the garden in a different season too. For us, this was a truly meaningful encounter that brought new insights. We stayed at Sedona for our first trip with our dog. I had a general sense of the atmosphere from photos, but seeing it in person was truly moving. A spacious property with a wonderful building that feels like being abroad. The appliances and the little items in the Room were all stylish and adorable!! Above all, our dog was the happiest, going back and forth between the garden and the Room again and again. Seeing that made my spouse and me incredibly happy! It’s far, so we can’t come back easily, but we would love to return here again. Thank you very much for providing such an amazing Accommodation!!

This was my second stay. I had such a wonderful time last time that I came again with my mother, who loves art. She was delighted by the steel framework running through the Room—unique to a tower—and by the many artworks throughout the Hotel. Thank you to all the staff for kindly answering her many questions and explaining everything so thoughtfully. In the evening, guests only can take an elevator through a secret door up to the observation deck. The special touch made our hearts race with excitement. Spending time looking out over the quiet city at night felt truly luxurious, and I was able to give my mother a moment that’s only possible with a Hotel stay. Breakfast offered a wide variety of dishes made with local ingredients, and both my mother and I were very satisfied. Afterward, we were even served special petit fours, and we thoroughly enjoyed tea time as well. This time, my mother and I took our time strolling around Sakae on this one-night, two-day mini trip—staying at this Hotel was our main purpose. Thank you for such a comfortable stay. It was my first time visiting Rebun Island. I arrived before check-in, but the staff stored my luggage at the port and even carried it to my Room. The view from the Room was amazing, and I was deeply moved by the beauty of Mt. Rishiri (Rishiri Fuji). The next day, I was able to rent a car, and they also kept my luggage until departure the following day. The meals were fresh and delicious, and the Onsen was wonderful. I also joined an early-morning guest tour and learned more about Rebun Island. Thank you for your thoughtful hospitality—it made my stay truly comfortable.

I stayed for two nights when a typhoon approached Yakushima and brought record-breaking heavy rain. Unfortunately, due to the bad weather, I had to cancel most of my plans such as trekking, but thanks to how fulfilling my time at this Hotel was, it ended up being a memorable and wonderful trip overall. The Facility was very clean, and the staff were kind, attentive, and provided excellent service, so I was able to stay comfortably. The food was delicious—not only the buffet but also the dishes from the live kitchen—and there was a great variety that I really enjoyed. I hope to visit Yakushima again someday and make trekking happen next time, and when I do, I would love to stay here again.
