Although I prefer accommodations with a large public bath, this hotel does not have one. There are three coin-operated laundry machines available. Overall, the facilities were excellent, clean, and provided a comfortable stay. If I visit Tanabe again, I would likely stay here

The Facility is old, but it’s well cleaned and very tidy. The amenities were fully provided and made for a comfortable stay. The kids struggled a bit with the unfamiliar 3-piece unit bathroom, but it was a good experience. Personally, I was impressed by how easy the combination of the hair dryer holder and cable clip was to use. Yukata are also provided (they were better than those at a large lakeside Hotel). Since we only needed a place to sleep that day, the Facilities and service were more than sufficient. It’s conveniently located close to both the station and the bus stop. In the morning, we had a set breakfast at the Sukiya next door. I’d like to stay again and would recommend it.

At check-in, I saw a “Preparing” sign and assumed it would open in the evening, but I was told it was closed today. I think it would be better to change the sign. The Room was spacious and close to the station, and the large public bath was clean, so I had a very comfortable stay

The villa was located slightly uphill from the coastal road. The moment we opened the door, we were impressed by the stylish Room and the stunning view. The staff who guided us was very polite, and the food was delicious, making it a truly satisfying stay. Although it was just one night, we fully enjoyed Awaji Island. We would love to visit again with our dog!

This was my second stay. I chose the plan for guests aged 50 and over, which included spiny lobster, abalone, and golden eye snapper. The meals were so delicious that I decided to return. Both the fish-focused dinner and the breakfast featuring spiny lobster miso soup and grilled horse mackerel were satisfying and filling. However, there were two things I found a bit disappointing this time. First, there was noise after 11:30 PM. It seemed to come from upstairs, possibly due to cleaning in the bath area. Other than that, it was very quiet, so the noise at night surprised me. Second, while they were preparing my futon bed, my coffee cup was taken away even though I had been using it. When I wanted to drink coffee later on but couldn’t find the cup anymore, it left me feeling disappointed. The staff serving breakfast were very pleasant and made for a nice departure experience overall. Since Awa-Kominato is one of my favorite places, I'll probably visit again in the future. Even if accommodations are not large-scale establishments, I'd like to choose based on their unique qualities each time!

Traveling with my dog, we enjoyed a wonderful view with Kofu Beach right in front of us (a crystal-clear sea popular with surfers; the shoreline has become narrower than in the past, but the ocean feels even more powerful now). It rained the next day, but when I visited before, the sun rose over the sea—highly recommended for a picture-perfect view. Next time, I definitely want to see the sunrise. The Hotel staff were very kind and even took a commemorative photo for us in the lobby, so we have a great keepsake. Thank you very much.

Although it was hot outside in summer, the Hotel Room felt fresh and comfortable. With a semi-open-air Onsen bath, we relaxed and toasted as a couple while looking out at the deep-blue sea with a cold canned beer in hand—it made us feel truly happy. We enjoyed the Onsen many times until around 10:30 a.m. the next morning. Since we are both over 60, we were able to stay at a discounted rate. For dinner, we went to the neighboring seafood market “Mushigamaya,” which is also highly recommended. The Hotel breakfast can be delivered to your Room; it was delicious and my wife was very pleased. We would like to stay again.

This is a wonderful Accommodation. We truly felt the kindness in your hospitality. The meals were lavish and absolutely delicious. The quality, portion size, and flavor were so exceptional that we almost felt guilty enjoying them at this price. Breakfast was also very satisfying, and the fluffy rolled omelet was truly impressive. When we mentioned that we would be staying to celebrate my mother’s 88th birthday, you served sekihan (red bean rice), which deeply moved her. This time, since the bath was under renovation, we went to a nearby Facility to bathe; once the bath is completed, I’m sure this will become an even more outstanding Accommodation. In a small Japanese-style room, I enjoyed the sweetness of local vegetables while imagining that merchants from long ago might have stayed here alone as well. Perhaps because of the terrain there is no railway, which may help create the town’s calm atmosphere. On the way back, when I was kindly given a ride on the bus toward Chichibu, I was deeply impressed by driving that was more considerate than anything I have ever experienced. Even on mountain roads, the driver’s smooth control never caused sudden tilts in any direction, and he consistently kept safely to the left edge of the road to allow oncoming traffic to pass. I wasn’t able to thank the driver when getting off, so please allow me to express my gratitude here.

This Accommodation features only 10 detached villas, surrounded by rice fields and the deep green of the mountains. You’ll be welcomed by Mi-chan, our resident cat, along with the friendly Kamo team. In the open-air bath attached to your Room, you might even be greeted by a tiny Japanese tree frog—small enough to fit on your fingertip. The meals are delicious and perfectly portioned. All staff were warm and welcoming, making our stay truly comfortable. We’ll definitely be back!
