This is a private, one-group-only Accommodation renovated from a former beach hut left on a closed swimming beach on Awaji Island. Set on a wide stretch of sand in a quiet fishing town, there are no other buildings around. A place to step away from the bustle and spend time embraced by the vast sea and sky. While preserving the Showa-era exterior of the beach hut, we kept the interior understated, choosing natural materials and furnishings designed to be loved and used for years to come: a large wood-burning stove; a spacious bathroom and wood-fired sauna; dinner finished in your Room by our chef using local seasonal bounty; and the ever-changing sea and sky right before your eyes. Rather than chasing what is new or flashy, we hope you will connect with what has long been here. Like another home, we aspire to be an island retreat you will return to again and again.
The reason this Property continues to be loved is its comfort. The cuisine is a Japanese kaiseki meal that incorporates the nourishing blessings of the San'in and Seto Inland Sea regions, as well as the bounty of the satoyama countryside.
