I’ve stayed here several times. There are so many great points: it’s close to downtown, parking is free, there’s an Onsen, breakfast is inexpensive and delicious, and the staff are kind. If you’re going to Takayama, this is the place to stay.

I had visited before for a day trip, but this was my first overnight stay, fully expecting peak Obon pricing. Since it’s an Onsen Ryokan, I assumed the guest rooms would be Japanese-style, but unlike the shared areas with samurai armor and other traditional touches, my Room was a stylish and relaxing Western-style space. I also appreciated the in-room coffee machine service. Above all, the baths were outstanding. The alkaline water left my skin feeling wonderfully smooth. There were three beautiful private baths, and after 9:00 p.m. they could be used freely without a Reservation. Perhaps because many families with children were staying, it was quiet late at night—so I tried them all. Including the large public bath, every bath was at just the right temperature; no matter how many times I soaked, I never felt overheated or unwell, and I truly enjoyed Onsen to the fullest. There are several Accommodation options in Nakagawa Onsen, but when it comes to bath management—including temperature control and cleanliness—I feel an Onsen Ryokan is still the best. We also enjoyed table tennis, and even after checkout they kindly let us use the large public bath area as a place to change after playing in the river. They were also very flexible and extremely kind regarding Shuttle Service arrangements and other requests. Thank you very much.

After a concert at Budokan, I stayed one night with my daughter. The good points were the convenient location near the station, a great seafood rice bowl restaurant nearby, and the view from the high floor. The disappointing points were that there were no amenities and quite a lot of noise came through the gap under the door.

I’ve been staying here repeatedly lately. It’s affordable, clean, and very comfortable. They also offer welcome coffee, and the staff are courteous. The Room was well cleaned and comfortable, but when I set the air conditioning temperature a bit higher, I noticed a slightly unusual odor from the airflow. If you could consider cleaning internal parts that are difficult to address with regular cleaning—such as filters and the heat exchanger—I think this Accommodation would become even more comfortable in the future. We stayed with our 3-year-old and our 2-month-old baby. We chose this Accommodation because the Room has a private open-air bath, and in-room dining—now quite rare—meant we could relax even with small children. About two days before our stay, we received a confirmation call and were grateful for the details about the Shuttle Service pickup location. When we told them our children’s ages, they kindly said, “We’ll make sure your Room is thoroughly cleaned.” The Facility felt a bit dated, but the Room was very clean. Everyone at the Ryokan wore hakama, which looked wonderful. Since we arrived with children, they guided us to our Room first, and being able to complete check-in in the Room was also a big plus. We were welcomed with matcha tea and warabi mochi, which helped us unwind after traveling. With only eight guest Rooms, it was very quiet throughout our stay—comfortable like having a private villa. They had already laid out futons so our child could lie down anytime, and they spoke warmly to our older child by name—thoughtful service that really stood out. Every in-room dining dish was delicious, especially the fish dishes. The private open-air bath attached to the guest Room had a lovely hinoki aroma. It rained on arrival day, but the next morning we enjoyed a bath while looking out at the sea. There is also a reservable open-air bath on the rooftop; after putting the kids to sleep, my spouse and I took turns using it. We even enjoyed stargazing at night—such a special memory. Thanks to all of their thoughtful care, this became an unforgettable family trip. We would love to stay again when we visit Izu. Thank you very much!

I stayed with three friends (four of us in total). Because one of us has limited mobility, I asked in advance whether we could visit using a wheelchair or cane and whether a shower chair was available. I received a very polite email saying it would be possible and that they would be happy to welcome us, which truly impressed me. We stayed in a Room with an open-air bath, and it was the most satisfying open-air-bath Room I have ever stayed in. Overall, it was spacious enough, and the toilet was excellent as well, with plenty of space and handrails on both sides. The bath overlooking the sea also had enough room for two people to relax and stretch out. If it had been clear weather, could we have seen Mt. Fuji too? We also had our meals in the living area of the Room, so we could dine at a relaxed pace. The portions were generous—almost too much to finish.

Like many Hotels, having only two elevators can feel inconvenient during busy times. Even if you want to take the stairs for health reasons, the doors are closed, so it seems they are not recommended and you end up spending time looking for them. Breakfast was delicious. The salad was placed at the very back, after the rice and drinks; if possible, I would prefer it to be at the beginning or at the end of the line, since I plan my portions. Overall, I had a comfortable stay with no major issues.

We stayed for a Multiple Night Stay with a Child Sharing Existing Bedding, and the location, price, and staff service were all excellent. With the eco Plan, there was no room cleaning, and we could exchange towels at the front desk, which made things easy. There is a convenience store on the first floor, so it’s very convenient. The building and Facility feel like an older Business Hotel, but it has been renovated and the exterior looks clean, so it didn’t bother me much. If you care a lot about small dust, torn wallpaper, or an older bathroom, this may not be the right place for you. I would be very happy if the coin laundry dryer were gas-powered. It was a Hotel I would like to use again. Thank you.

In addition to its convenient location near the station, the reception staff were very professional and helpful. I would definitely recommend it to anyone staying in the area.

The top-floor spa offered breathtaking views of both the mountains and the sea—it was amazing.

It was a cold day with snow in Toyohashi, but I am grateful for being able to stay comfortably.

The accommodation was clean and comfortable. However, it was a bit cold on the day of my stay, possibly due to the seasonal change, and it was unfortunate that there was no heating option in the air conditioning system.

The building is old, but it felt clean. There were paintings displayed everywhere, which was lovely. The Hotel staff were also very courteous. However, after checking out, I stopped by again in the evening because I decided there was a souvenir from the Hotel that I wanted to buy. When I told a man at the front desk—someone I had not seen before—that I was not a guest with a Reservation for that day, his attitude felt a bit cold, so I deducted one star. The female front desk staff were all polite and helpful. Thank you very much.

The location was amazing, right in front of the ocean. The food was delicious and there was more than we could finish—we were very satisfied. We’d love to stay here again when we visit Himakajima.

The station near Yuigahama is close behind the Hotel, and it’s within walking distance to the sea in the morning, so we were able to enjoy a quiet Yuigahama. The Hotel breakfast was delicious, and the staff were very kind. Hasedera Temple and the Great Buddha are also within walking distance, so I think it’s a great location. Next time I’ll come with friends. Thank you for your hospitality.

Although it was the day before a typhoon, we had a very comfortable stay. The cute duck in the bathroom was very soothing. We would love to stay again.

I stayed for a Multiple Night Stay of 5 nights. The staff were very attentive, and I had a comfortable stay. The welcome drink and complimentary breakfast were delightful and felt like a great deal. Since I used my own toothbrush, I returned the provided one saying "I don't need it," and in exchange, I received local Umaibo snacks equal to the number of toothbrushes—this was an unexpected bonus! Security was reliable, and the Onsen was very relaxing. Overall, I was very satisfied. The Room was slightly small but perfectly manageable for my stay.

This was my second stay. Since it is away from central Nara City, the surroundings are quiet and you can relax. The drinks in the 8th-floor lounge while watching Mt. Unebi at sunset are wonderful. The Room has a unit bath, but I also recommend the spacious public bath nearby. This time, there were dishes from many countries, and everything was delicious. With Asuka and Fujiwara Palace designated as World Heritage sites, I expect more tourists in the future, but this is an Accommodation I would like to stay at again.
