I often stay here because it’s close to the station and convenient when going out for drinks. It’s reassuring that staff are available at reception even late at night. Thank you very much.

The sashimi boat platter was absolutely delicious, and everything we ate was impressive. The host mother and everyone else were very kind. It seems they also offer a boat fishing Plan, which I’d like to book next time. We received Fukui Prefecture travel coupons and used them the next day as meal vouchers worth 5,000 yen per person to go eat eel.

In recent years, due to the impact of inbound tourism, accommodation prices had risen, so it had been a while since I stayed at a Livemax Hotel. However, the room was compact and easy to use. Having a microwave provided was convenient and helpful.

It was my first time staying here. The Room was very clean. The bath was also great.

An older business hotel, but clean and satisfactory. Breakfast is free and decent. Would stay again.

We always stay here when visiting Shiga Kogen for ski trips. This is our third season. Such a great price for accommodation so close to one of Japan's top ski resorts! Includes breakfast and dinner, has an onsen, spacious rooms—completely satisfied. The onsen has been renovated and is clean, with excellent maintenance. The meals offer a surprising variety for being in the mountains. This time we had set meals, but the warm dishes and refillable rice left us full and happy. Both the front desk staff and dining area staff were kind, making our stay very pleasant. There may be some negative comments from others, but with this level of service at this price point, isn't it asking too much? Considering rising costs of goods, fuel prices, and labor expenses—it must be challenging to maintain such a warm facility in the freezing mountains. We truly appreciate being able to stay at such an affordable rate. This is an excellent accommodation!

This is my second stay. Reasonable price and the Room is clean. Close to the city, so you can shop and return to the Hotel quickly. The breakfast bread is delicious, and the welcome drink includes alcohol, which was very satisfying! The public bath is not very spacious, so it’s a bit disappointing that it’s hard to use during busy times. Overall, I’m satisfied and would like to stay here again when visiting Asahikawa.

I was a little uneasy when I arrived because the Accommodation’s exterior has quite bold colors, but there was no need to worry. The Room was a 6-tatami Japanese-style room, and it was nicely cleaned. Both dinner and breakfast were generous portions and delicious. I wonder if most of the ingredients were local? The tomatoes and corn were sweet and tasty. The bath isn’t an Onsen, but the water was pleasantly warm and I could relax. The surrounding nature is refreshing, and the river water is so clear you can see all the way to the riverbed. There are no shops nearby, but that inconvenience might actually be part of the charm. You may want to bring your own towel, hair dryer, toothbrush, etc. It feels more like a dormitory than a Hotel. With the beautiful nature around it and how pleasant all the Hotel staff were, I think it’s a great Hotel that makes you want to come back.

Thank you very much for your hospitality. It was sufficient for a place to sleep. I was disappointed that there was no bathtub and only a shower.

Despite significant delays due to heavy traffic, we were warmly welcomed. The Room and hallway were warm, allowing us to relax and enjoy a comfortable stay. Both the coffee and breakfast were delicious, and we ended up eating too much (haha). Thank you for a wonderful time.

The Facility feels a bit like a training lodge and its age does show, but all the staff were kind, the bedding in the Room was fluffy, and the evening bath was clean, so we had a comfortable stay. We especially enjoyed the meals—we upgraded to the shellfish grill Plan. Everything was gorgeous and fresh, and the food was delicious; we were truly impressed. Thank you as well for kindly accommodating our request for late-night rice balls. Breakfast was also tasty and very filling. If we have the chance, we would love to stay again.

I made a Reservation because I wanted to enjoy spiny lobster for my husband’s 70th birthday celebration, but when I asked to postpone due to his poor health, they kindly agreed even though it was at the last minute, which I truly appreciated. The meal was such a feast that we could hardly finish it, and everything was delicious—including rare dishes like deep-fried spiny lobster and live dancing kuruma prawns. They also served the leftover sashimi as a simmered dish the next morning. The private open-air bath was very spacious and clean, and we were able to relax and enjoy it at our leisure. Even when we left, they saw us off until our car was out of sight—an Accommodation that made us want to return.

The staff were very kind and left a great impression. The Room and other facilities were compact and clean. Although it requires a Reservation, we appreciated being able to use the large public bath.

I will use it again.

I stayed here when I traveled alone to Morioka to see the cherry blossoms. The building is a bit old, but it was kept very clean, and the Room had been renovated and was comfortable. I can’t eat a lot, so I chose a plan with smaller portions at a lower price. The amount was just right, and I finished everything. The food was delicious. The view from the Room was amazing.

Located on a steep hill, access by foot can be challenging. The room provided a calm and private space, allowing for a stay without encountering anyone from check-in to check-out. Although not an Onsen, the water quality was excellent. No insects were seen during the stay, but insect prevention items might create unnecessary concern for some guests. On the other hand, waking up to the sound of birds made for a delightful experience in this beautiful location.

We stayed as a family of three. While the location is a bit inconvenient without a car due to its distance from the station, the beautiful scenery and peaceful atmosphere made up for it. From our room, we enjoyed stunning views of snow-capped mountains in the distance. The bath was pleasantly warm, allowing us to relax and relieve our fatigue. It was a wonderful trip where we could visit places like Moto-Zenkoji Temple, Iida's attractions, and Tenryu Gorge. Thank you very much for your hospitality. We missed visiting the Central Tectonic Line Museum in Oshika Village this time, but we look forward to staying here again when we plan to go there!

As the cats are community cats, they come to eat in the morning and evening and then go elsewhere. I was hoping they would stay around as resident cats, so as a cat lover I was a bit disappointed. Breakfast here is like a well-prepared set meal, with a variety of small dishes to enjoy. It was clearly better than the photos, so it was a pleasant surprise in that sense. I didn’t use the bath, so I can’t comment on it. The toilet was a little inconvenient to use, but the price is reasonable and the gentleman who helped us was very friendly, so I’d like to stay again.

We stayed in a connecting twin room as a parent and child. It was close to the station, and we could leave our luggage before check-in, so we had a very comfortable stay. We would like to stay again.

Kappo Ryokan Nihonkai Dinner: Boat Platter Enjoyed a luxurious meal with crab, sashimi, and clam rice, leaving us completely satisfied. The Room offered a great view of the sea.
