This is my fourth visit. No matter when I come, I’m always completely satisfied with both the hot springs and the meals. I especially love the flounder sashimi.

Stay until 8 PM and enjoy! Explore Asakusa on a sunny day, followed by illuminated shrines and temples. Take the back alley next to the Hotel, and you'll find yourself at shrines and temples. Feel the excitement with incense smoke swirling around. Savor delicious street food from stalls!

On the day of the earthquake, I had made a Reservation for two Rooms, but one guest could not come because public transportation was suspended. I canceled, but no Cancellation Fee was charged due to the natural disaster. Their quick response and support were excellent.

The 200g portion of Okuizumo Wagyu—crowned Japan’s best—was absolutely delicious.

If you’re arriving late at night and leaving early in the morning, and only need a place to sleep, this is more than sufficient.\nThe staff were kind, and I had a comfortable stay.

The ReFa shower head, shampoo and treatment, and hair dryer were excellent. The Room was clean and comfortable, but two of the outlets at the dresser didn’t work, and the light wouldn’t turn on. Maybe it was a loose connection at the dresser?

As mentioned in other Reviews, the building is old, but the interior has been nicely renovated. In the first-floor lounge, we could relax with free coffee and other drinks.

We stayed here while visiting Gunma Flower Park, Tonton Plaza, and Mt. Akagi. Unlike Ikaho, the area is not crowded and is quiet, right in front of the Tone River. Dinner was plentiful; after a drink we were full and slept soundly. The bath was also great.

I think the Facility is kept very clean. The Rooms are simple and minimal, but more than enough for sleeping. I did feel that amenities like makeup remover or hair ties would be nice to have. The service is very polite. Perhaps because it’s a Ryokan with only a few Rooms, it seems the staff is also a small team working hard—but it never feels like they cut corners at all! The Onsen was excellent as well! The water temperature was just right. Like others have mentioned in their Reviews, the food is amazing. It’s more than enough for one person—I went to bed completely full. Breakfast was also plentiful, and everything was delicious. I think this is a hidden-gem Ryokan in Uguisuyado Onsen!

I used this Hotel for the Expo. My wife contacted the Hotel in advance to confirm some details, and the staff member who answered was very kind and knowledgeable about the Expo, having been there multiple times. They provided us with helpful information. Since we had large luggage, we asked if they could hold it before check-in, and they kindly stored it both before and after check-in, which was a great help for our visit to the Expo. The room was clean, and being located near the station made it very convenient for transportation. If I have another opportunity like this, I would definitely use this Hotel again. Thank you to the staff member who kindly assisted us over the phone, as well as all other employees for their excellent service!

The Facility is undeniably old and simple, but the hostess’s warm personality created a homely atmosphere, and the hearty, home-style breakfast left us very satisfied. There is a bath on the 4th floor that can fit about three people at once. It’s extremely convenient, with an entertainment district and a supermarket nearby, plus a coin laundry next door. The station is just over a 10-minute walk away, and the route is easy to walk—well within an acceptable range. I forgot some clothes in my Room and they kindly sent them back via Letter Pack; they even included a local souvenir from Kure. Thank you very much. I’d like to stay again.

The Onsen was great, and the meals were excellent as well. However, the Room walls seemed thin, and we could constantly hear an elderly couple in the next room from evening until after midnight and again from early morning.

The price is very reasonable for the Obon holiday period. The Onsen is also great. It was convenient to park the car right in front of the cottage.

When I travel to Nagano Prefecture for business, I usually stay at a Business Hotel in Matsumoto, but since Kamikochi was in peak season, I stayed in Nagano City instead. It’s not close to the station, but the incredibly low rate, the high Reviews (Google), and simple curiosity brought me here. Both check-in and check-out were handled by the owner. I was genuinely impressed by his exemplary hospitality. Even though we’re in different industries, it was a great learning experience as a businessperson. The Room and wet areas were thoroughly cleaned; the bath and toilet are shared, but it didn’t bother me at all. It seems there are many days when strong teams from outside the prefecture or other groups stay here as well, so if your stay overlaps with those dates it may be lively. If you prefer a quiet stay, group schedules are posted inside the Ryokan, and you can also check in advance when making your Reservation. Commemorative plates from Koshien-participating schools, Ma-kun’s autograph, thank-you letters, and more were carefully displayed throughout the property—it made me feel truly warm inside. It was my first time staying at this kind of Ryokan, and I’m grateful for such a valuable experience. If I have the chance, I’d love to stop by again. The yakitori place just 30 seconds on foot from the Ryokan was also amazing!! (Especially the salted chicken hearts and horse sashimi.) Comparing this place to standard Business Hotels with full Facilities like Route Inn or APA Hotel misses the point—so I hope people who can appreciate an exceptional price without worrying about minor inconveniences will enjoy what Ohashi Ryokan has to offer.

I contacted you several times by email, and your responses were excellent. When I reached out thinking I might have left something behind, you handled it politely, and I truly appreciate it. It said to use the self check-in machine, so I tried it, but it asked for my passport. I was confused and ended up being assisted at the counter. I wondered if this could have been done at the counter from the beginning. Since it was a Multiple Night Stay, towels and other items were prepared on the door handle for one day. However, although two of us were staying, there was only enough for one person—was that standard? The location was great, so I would like to stay again. Thank you very much for your help.

The view from the Room was wonderful. We had a clear view of Lake Ashi and Mt. Fuji. The view from the main building’s Onsen was also great. All the staff welcomed us with warm smiles and provided pleasant service. We would love to stay again.

I really enjoyed the Hoshino world. It has a strong, distinctive style (in a good way). Since Taketomi was a more traditional, mellow experience, that may be why it stood out even more this time. The deep-sea-like reception area, Rooms without an entryway, and a dining table with a sink were all surprising in terms of the facilities—and uniquely fun. There are many different activity programs as well. The performers in “Hamauri Ashibi” were bright, entertaining, and wonderful, and Ms. M’s “Garden Tour” guide was warm and enjoyable too. Going forward, the key will be how well you can communicate and share with guests that your interpretation of “Hoshinoya luxury,” including personal service, is not the conventional approach. When you’ve become the undisputed “top tier,” please let me stay again!

It was my first time staying at this accommodation, and it was a wonderful experience. The vegetarian cuisine was very delicious, including the kenchin soup and sesame tofu, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The private bath system allowed me to relax without any concerns. The morning service the next day was explained in detail by the guide, allowing me to learn a lot. I also had a chance to try zazen meditation upon prior request, and as a beginner, the head priest kindly guided me through it. I would love to stay here again when visiting Zenkoji Temple.

I traveled with my dog and my elderly parents. Because my mother was undergoing breast cancer treatment, we ruled out Accommodations with large shared baths that would be used together with other guests. That’s why this kind of private, whole-house rental traditional farmhouse Accommodation was truly appreciated, and it was our first time staying here. We also found the service very comfortable—welcoming and thoughtful, yet not intrusive, with just the right sense of distance. Since the interior is a renovated old house, most areas are wooden floors except for the tatami Room(s). To be honest, that can be hard on a dog’s paws, but if you bring blankets or similar items and make sure your dog has soft places to rest and walk on as much as possible, it isn’t an issue at all. The meals provided were also delicious, and we were very satisfied. There was even a massage chair in the spacious earthen-floor area, which our family took turns using. It seems there are several other Accommodations in this series as well, so next time I’d like to visit a different one too.

Surrounded by nature, the Room was very clean. Thank you to the staff for the courteous and thorough explanations. There was a private dog run and other places to walk, so our dog was happy too. We would like to stay again.
