This is my second stay, and I am very satisfied with the front desk service, just like last time. I appreciated being informed that amenities not available in the room are located next to the front desk. I also used the parking lot during both stays, and the guidance to the parking spaces was smooth. I will use this accommodation again next time.

The kitchen and bathroom facilities were as well-equipped as those in an apartment, but it was disappointing that the balcony was not properly cleaned.

It was the cheapest option around Shin-Yamaguchi (free parking). The building and Room are a bit dated, and since it’s a business Ryokan it feels slightly darker than major chains, but it was properly cleaned and very comfortable. The bed has an old-style spring mattress and is firm. Only towels were provided in the Room; I picked up a toothbrush and other amenities next to the front desk. The bathroom is a compact unit bath and quite small, but that’s part of the charm—no issues using it. It’s located at the entrance to an area with lots of bars, so you won’t have trouble finding food or drinks. A convenience store is a 1-minute walk away. There’s also a supermarket nearby. They also offer loaner umbrellas, so you’re covered even on rainy days. Overall, I was very satisfied. If I stay around Shin-Yamaguchi again, I’d like to stay here again.

The location is very convenient. As mentioned, I had no particular complaints other than the power outlets. It would be even better if breakfast service were available.\nHowever, there are plenty of shops nearby, so I wasn’t dissatisfied even without it.

I am writing only about the service. At check-in, there were two staff members at the front desk and one was available. I gave my name and said I was checking in, but a male staff member told me to “wait on that sofa, as we are guiding guests in order,” so I waited. It did look busy, but even after no one was at the front desk, no one came to assist me. When I asked a passing staff member whether it was still okay to keep waiting as instructed, a female staff member apologized sincerely and guided me right away. Her manner was very polite, which made me wonder why I had been told to wait in the first place. After entering the Room, when I tried to have tea, the teacup was slightly dirty (which could be washed), but when I emptied the teapot there was leftover tea still inside. When I called about it, the same female staff member came immediately and apologized profusely. She seemed so apologetic that it almost made me feel bad for her—so I couldn’t help thinking this should have been taken care of beforehand. The female staff member who served us at dinner and breakfast was perfect. In particular at breakfast she even showed us around the VIP room we were interested in, which truly impressed us. However, at checkout: I was told that in addition to drinks from dinner there would also be charges for souvenirs. Since we had not purchased any souvenirs, I asked to see an itemized statement. They said they had apparently added another guest’s charges by mistake; after removing those items they processed payment by card. In general, an itemized statement should be shown and confirmed before payment is taken—it is not normal for this to be handled only verbally. Especially since this became a minor dispute where I had to request proof of details first, it should have been presented immediately. Moreover, after payment they handed me only the card slip. Only after I requested it did they give me something like an itemized Receipt as well; normally customers should receive not only the card slip but also an itemized statement—especially when there has been a billing error like this. Because they handled all of this so casually, it felt pointless to continue arguing and I gave up requesting issuance of a Receipt. I am reporting this because there were both excellent aspects of service and aspects that were more than simply disappointing mixed together. I hope improvements will be made.

I enjoyed staying at the b Hotel on my previous trip to Kobe, so I chose it again in Hakata.\n\nIt was close to Hakata Station, making it convenient for dining out and shopping. I had an early flight the next morning, so the easy access to the airport was a big help. It was also nice to have coffee along with canelés and macarons as a snack right after arrival. Most Hotels provide a hair dryer, but I was especially happy that there was also a hair iron available.

I used a smoking room, but thanks to the air purifier installed, the smell of cigarettes was not very noticeable.

The location and the staff’s service were excellent. I stayed here for work. It’s conveniently located near the subway station, with a convenience store close by, and great value for being in the city center. I used it during a business trip.

We stayed as a family and were very satisfied. All ratings are based on the premise of "for this price." The smoking room is excellent! There’s a large supermarket and a 100-yen shop within a 10-minute walk, which is very convenient. Plus, Hakuba is just a casual 30-minute drive away, making the location perfect. We will definitely stay here again.

Stayed for the Expo. The accommodation was close to the Expo venue and reasonably priced, which was appreciated. After walking around all day with tired legs, I was able to relax in the large public bath. The breakfast was satisfying for this price range. The staff at the breakfast venue were attentive and kept replenishing items frequently. One downside was that the bedding in the room had an unpleasant smell (like sweat), which was disappointing.

The Hotel is conveniently located near the station and the downtown area, making it a very pleasant stay!

I was worried because the reviews weren’t very good, but nothing really bothered me. In any case, it was inexpensive, the Room was spacious, and being surrounded by nature with fresh air was very refreshing. Since it was No Meals Included, we didn’t do a barbecue or anything like that, but there were lots of dogs and everyone seemed to be having a great time. Above all, the kids enjoyed it, so we were very satisfied.

This was my first stay, and the front desk staff were very helpful. I also received a sheet with a map of nearby restaurants. The large public bath was great as well. If you leave your key, etc. at the 5th-floor public bath reception by 21:30, you can enter. It seems to close at 22:00. There were various baths, and the open-air bath on the 6th floor (rooftop) was excellent! However, since the shampoo and conditioner are commercial-grade amenities, the quality isn’t very good, so bringing your own shampoo is recommended. The Room was a single, but I felt the lighting wasn’t bright enough. Otherwise, it’s typical business-hotel quality. Because the open-air bath was so good, I rated it highly.

It was a twin room and my first time staying here. I checked the reviews just before my stay and noticed some negative comments, so I was a bit worried, but there were no issues at all. It seems to be a renovated motel along Koshu Kaido, with separate bath, toilet, and sink areas. The room also had a microwave and refrigerator, was clean, and spacious enough. I stayed for two nights. There was no cleaning service on the second day; however, towels and other amenities were placed in a basket outside the door for convenience. The front desk is unattended from 9 PM to 10 AM. On the first night, I wasn’t sure how to dispose of trash due to this system, so I rated customer service three stars. Although I didn’t use it myself, phone support is available when the front desk is unstaffed. The air conditioning worked fine but took some time to warm up the room on the first night—likely because it hadn’t been used recently and the room was quite cold initially. However, heating worked quickly on the second night for a comfortable stay. Due to this experience on the first night, I rated facilities four stars. Considering how well-equipped it is at such an affordable price point—though slightly generous—I gave overall satisfaction five stars!

Satisfied #1: Affordable Hotel (Good) Satisfied #2: Staff service (Good) Dissatisfied #1: The Room lighting was not working, and an electrical outlet was broken. Dissatisfied #2: The shower head in the bathroom was slightly broken, and it was difficult to adjust the water temperature. Dissatisfied #3: The elevator was out of order. My companion has limited mobility, so using the emergency stairs was very difficult. Dissatisfied #4: The parking lot required a fee. Dissatisfied #5: Noise from neighboring rooms/apartments was loud and bothersome, so I couldn’t relax.

Affordable and conveniently located near the interchange, the free dinner curry was a highlight. However, it unfortunately ended in late August 2025 due to rising costs. I would gladly pay a slightly higher accommodation fee if it could be reinstated. The service was standard for a Business Hotel—neither exceptional nor disappointing—but overall, my impression was positive.

My family, who live far away, stayed for the third time. They said the meals were even more delicious this time. They also appreciated that baby food was available, which was a great help since they have a young child. We will definitely stay again. Thank you very much.

I arrived by motorcycle on a rainy day, and I truly appreciated being allowed to park under a roof and the kind assistance I received. The private room was spacious enough, and I was able to stay comfortably.

By staying on a weekday and avoiding holiday periods, I was able to book at a very good rate. I used a top-floor double room as a single, and with the toilet and bath separated, I was able to relax comfortably. If I have the opportunity again, I would definitely like to stay here.

I had to leave early in the morning, so having breakfast at the Hotel was difficult, but the Room had a microwave, which allowed me to heat up food purchased from a convenience store.
