This review focuses on staying affordably and comfortably near Anan Station. I stayed for over 20 nights. Although it’s a bit of a walk from the station, it was comfortable. I was very satisfied with the price as well. The cost-performance ratio is quite high, in my opinion. The internet speed is fast (down=88mbps, up=79.9mbps). Noise levels may depend on whether contractors are staying at the same time or not. Additionally, the sound of frogs at night can be considered part of the local charm. Before summer, during S Electric's regular maintenance period, many electricians stay here, which might slightly increase noise risks depending on compatibility (though I had no issues).

Although it was a No Meals Included stay, we stayed for two nights as a parent and child on the Standard Japanese-Style Room Plan. It is located on a hill with great views. The Japanese-style room was very spacious, clean, and comfortable, with all the amenities we needed. However, the only downside was that we couldn’t adjust the shower temperature well in the bathroom—it would sometimes get too hot or too lukewarm. Perhaps because there were few guests, it was very quiet from night until morning, and we were able to relax. The parking lot was also large and easy to use. If we have a chance to stay in the Ikoma area again, we would like to try it with meals included next time. Thank you very much.

It had been a while since I stayed at a truly traditional Japanese Ryokan. Since I usually sleep on a futon rather than a bed, I was able to sleep soundly here as well. The bathroom was spacious, and the bathtub was large enough to stretch out and soak comfortably, which helped me recover from my fatigue. I also liked the convenient location near the station. It might not suit some younger guests who aren’t used to this style, but if I have the chance to visit Takatsuki again, I would like to stay here again. Thank you very much.

Stayed for one night, and it was clean, simple, and perfectly fine for just staying overnight. However, there is nothing much in the surrounding area. It’s about a 20-minute walk to the nearest station. This location might be convenient if you’re traveling by car and it fits well with your itinerary—for example, if you plan to take a ferry to Shimabara the next day. By the way, Tamana Station is two stops away.

I made a reservation for one night. As mentioned in the details, the bathroom was small, but the room was spacious and comfortable. Since it was a smoking-allowed room, I thought it would have been nice to have an air purifier. I would like to use this accommodation again.

The rice balls were delicious. The Room was clean as well. We appreciated the humidifier.

The building and Room have a retro Showa-era feel, but the Room was well cleaned and felt very tidy. I made a Reservation expecting good meals, and there were many dishes—every one was delicious. It exceeded my expectations. The children’s meal also had many kid-friendly options, and my child was happy. The staff were very helpful, and I’d like to stay here again when I’m in the area.

This time, I stayed with the No Meals Included plan. While the building and Facility showed some signs of age, everything was well cleaned, and above all, the staff’s service was very courteous and left a great impression.

The Facility is somewhat old, but the location is excellent for sightseeing around Gion. Otherwise, it feels comparable to a Business Hotel.

It was a very nice Room.

Perfect for a quick stay after visiting the Expo. Initially, it was a bit hard to find and I passed by it, but there are plenty of parking spaces nearby, and the Life supermarket being open until midnight was very convenient. The comfort of the bunk bed was also great.

This was my first time staying here, and the check-in and check-out procedures were easy to understand. The Room had a Japanese-style room, a kitchen, and a washing machine, which was very convenient. Compared with a typical Hotel where Rooms can be small and hard to use, this place was very spacious and great. The accommodation fee was also very affordable.

The building feels like an apartment. The Room has simple furnishings that create a fresh, comfortable atmosphere. You can go out after reception hours; there is no curfew. I received a towel set and a toothbrush. I used a rental car and parked at a Times parking lot (up to 500 yen). There are quite a few one-way streets, so be careful. The Hotel parking fee is 500 yen per car, and up to three cars can park. You can get almost everything you need at the 24-hour Mega Center Trial Asahikawa store (12 minutes on foot / 3 minutes by car, 850 m). Showers are on the first floor (women-only and shared for men and women). Two washing machines are free to use (no detergent; air-dry function available). There is no dryer, so I rated the Facility 4/5. The toilet and microwave are outside the Room. Free and paid items are listed in the in-room guidebook. Some areas feel like a maze. From April 1, 2026, an “Asahikawa City Accommodation Tax” of 200 yen per person per night has been introduced for Accommodations within Asahikawa City. The Hotel staff informed me about it. I was impressed by the courteous service for under 4,000 yen—it made me feel safe and comfortable. I was glad my Room was on the second floor. Don’t miss travel agency sales.

If you complete pre-check-in in advance, check-in via the tablet is smooth. The Room has one single bed and one semi-double bed. There is also a washer-dryer in the Room, and a single-use laundry detergent packet was placed by the sink. The bathroom has only a shower booth (no bathtub). There are no amenities such as cleansing products or nightwear, so it’s best to bring your own! There was a power strip in the Room with Type-C and USB ports, so you can charge as long as you have your cable. The TV had Netflix available, and we could watch freely! In the morning we could hear footsteps from people running or jumping in their Room, but we were getting ready to leave anyway so it didn’t bother us much. Honestly, we were very satisfied. It was a really great trip! When I come to Hakata again, I would definitely like to stay at this Accommodation again. Just note that it’s about a 15–20 minute walk from Hakata Station.

Despite the excellent Facilities, the price even includes breakfast (with a wide variety of drinks besides coffee), and I was very satisfied. The bed was capsule-hotel style, but everything is new, spacious, and clean. There are showers only (no bathtub), but the water temperature, water pressure, shampoo, etc. were all perfectly fine. It was also a nice touch that they provide not only both large and small towels but also a bath mat. The only drawback? The building looks far cleaner and more serene than you would expect for the price (especially the entrance gate and garden give the impression of an upscale Japanese-style Accommodation), so I actually walked right past it thinking, “There’s no way I can stay here for this price—there must be another cheaper-looking building.” (Even though there was signage; it was my fault for not believing it.) With rows of sake breweries, it’s a charming streetscape that doesn’t feel like Tokyo at all. If I’d had more time, I would have liked to take a walk around the area.
