We stayed for one night and two days as a family, and we also had two dogs with us. The dogs stayed by the entrance the whole time, but since we could see them when we opened the sliding doors to the Japanese-style room or living room, we felt reassured and were able to relax. We were able to use the BBQ facilities without any issues and had a wonderful time. It was very convenient to pass ingredients in and out through the kitchen window. The washer and dryer allowed us to wash and dry our laundry on the same day, which was extremely helpful. The owner also told us about a fireworks festival, so we were able to watch it at night—it was beautiful, and there were food stalls too, which made it even more enjoyable. We were also deeply touched that we received handmade coasters from the owner for free. Our daughter and son purchased handmade book covers as well, and we will cherish them. There were six of us plus two dogs staying together, and it became a truly wonderful memory for our family.

This was a wonderful entire home rental with the calm atmosphere of a traditional Japanese house and the warmth of natural wood. The private sauna was properly hot and even allowed self-service löyly, and the flow from the cold plunge to the jacuzzi and outdoor air-bath area was excellent—I lost track of time enjoying set after set. In the evening, we relaxed while having a BBQ and gathering around the fire pit, making it the perfect place to refresh away from the city noise. Highly recommended for group trips or family getaways, as well as special occasions. It was such a lovely Accommodation that I’d definitely like to visit again.

We stayed here with our baby (6 months old). Tucked away in a quiet forest, the Accommodation was filled with the warmth of wood from the moment we stepped inside, and everything was spotless, creating a truly relaxing atmosphere. The tatami-style Japanese room accessible by ladder was also great, and there was enough space to sleep with our child even on the large bed, which really helped. In addition, there were plenty of towels and both a washer and dryer, making it very convenient for families with children. It’s an Accommodation we would love to stay at again.

The Room was very clean, and the kumiko woodwork was beautiful. There is also a sink, which is convenient for washing up. It’s a maisonette-style layout with the bedroom on the second floor. There is a semi-open-air Onsen bath that feels suitable for one adult. The outdoor bath is well designed with netting to keep insects out. There is also an indoor bath, and it was clean as well. Dinner came as a bento box; it was generous in portion and very delicious! It also included fruit, so we were very satisfied. If I had to mention one thing, the bed squeaked whenever I turned over, which might bother sensitive sleepers. Even so, I would like to stay again.

The Hotel’s exterior feels a bit dated, but everything inside was simply wonderful. The moment we entered the Room, the futons were already laid out, and our kids—tired from traveling by car—immediately dove in and happily rolled around. (It seems this is done to reduce the number of times staff enter the Room.) The meals were delicious with just the right portions, and all of the staff were kind and courteous. There were also plenty of family-friendly activities such as a festival-style kids’ event and a stamp rally, pool float rentals, free darts and table tennis, fireworks, and above all, the open-air bath was incredibly relaxing—we went both at night and in the morning and felt refreshed in both body and mind. One small note: there was a sauna set up by the open-air bath; I tried it, but the bench was too hot to sit on, so I wish I had placed a towel down. The kids were very satisfied too—since we stayed only one night this time, they liked it so much they said they want to stay two nights next time. They also love the otter pouch we won from the crane game. We had plenty of time to enjoy the pool as well—it was truly a fun stay at a Hotel where you can feel thoughtful attention throughout. We stayed here the night before our hike. We thought it might be a bit of a splurge, but the Shuttle Service, luxurious meals, open-air bath, and fluffy bedding made for a wonderful night’s sleep. We were able to set off comfortably and were very satisfied. However, since there were six of us, it was inconvenient to make the Reservation in three separate bookings.

This was our first time staying here. We brought our dog, and the dome tent was well equipped with pet amenities. The area is also fenced, so we could relax without a leash—truly pet-first, which we really appreciated. The owner was very kind, and the BBQ was delicious. There is also access down to the river from the property, so you can fully enjoy it in summer. The river has both shallow and deeper spots, making it easy to choose what suits your pet. It started raining at night, but we were still able to enjoy BBQ in a covered area where we stayed dry. After the rain stopped, we were treated to a sky full of stars—it was amazing. One day wasn’t nearly enough. We will definitely stay again. Thank you very much.

At the end of the year, we enjoyed the seafood of Hokuriku, such as crab and cold yellowtail, and had a good New Year's Eve. On New Year's Day, we also enjoyed traditional osechi, and were able to feel the tradition through the excellent arrangements and wonderful utensils. We truly enjoyed the Japanese New Year. We would love to visit again during this season.

My First Visit to Yufuin Thanks to Hinoharu Ryokan, it turned out to be a wonderful trip. Although it's located slightly away from the bustling Yunotsubo Street, the area is very quiet and full of charm. The Onsen had just the right temperature, with stones laid on the floor, making it very pleasant. The breakfast was also delicious. It has become a place I want to visit again.

Stayed at the accommodation after a long time. The quality of the room, the garden view from the window—everything was truly wonderful. The location is also excellent. Additionally, it felt like the service has improved significantly compared to before. I was able to relax and enjoy my stay. I was delighted to receive a stollen for Christmas as well. Thank you very much!

Although I had imagined it would be a wonderful Accommodation after looking at the website and other information, it turned out to be a dreamlike stay that far exceeded my expectations. All of the staff and the chef were incredibly kind (I contacted them in advance, and their amazingly thoughtful response truly moved me). Not only was the service attentive, but they also taught us so much about the Accommodation and Jinseki, which made our stay even more fulfilling. The meals were outstanding in every way—flavor, menu, and even the tableware—and my husband was deeply impressed as well. We fully enjoyed plenty of local specialties and seasonal ingredients. I was also happy to experience traditional craftsmanship such as Igura-style architecture and naguri-finished flooring. I always hope to give my child many different experiences, so I’m truly grateful for this wonderful opportunity. Because this Accommodation offers different pleasures in each season, we will definitely visit again at another time of year!

Just two stops from Kyoto Station and only a short walk from the nearest station, with excellent access. The bus stop is almost right in front, making it easy to reach major sightseeing spots. There are also convenient nearby options for a quick bite, such as Maison Kayser, Starbucks, and ramen shops. The Hotel felt like a private apartment unit, with a spacious living room, a large TV, plus a kitchen and even a washing machine. The bath was on the balcony and was spacious enough for two adults to sit side by side comfortably. There was also a sofa next to it for relaxing—when the breeze comes through, it’s especially pleasant. The staff were very courteous and attentive. I would love to stay again.

To escape Tokyo’s heat after the rainy season, I stayed at this Accommodation near Lake Nojiri for two nights. In short, it was a wonderful experience. Needless to say, the Facility is brand-new and newly opened, and the unobstructed, majestic views of Mt. Myoko and Mt. Kurohime from the Room felt almost unreal. Above all, I was truly moved by the outstanding hospitality of everyone at the Hotel. I have quite a few food dislikes, and they kindly prepared special dishes to accommodate my requests—I’m sincerely grateful. The meals still made generous use of local ingredients, and every dish was excellent. I also enjoyed watching the food being prepared right in front of me, followed by a lively conversation with the chef afterward. On a day when I had to leave early and couldn’t have breakfast at the Hotel, they instead made hearty onigiri for me to take along. I feel that with just one night you might not be able to fully experience everything this Hotel offers, so if possible I recommend staying two nights or more. I would love to visit again in another season. I often use IKYU for Accommodation Reservations, but after this stay I felt compelled to write a comment for the first time.

A wonderful Accommodation has opened right in front of the World Heritage site Ninna-ji Temple. From before we even entered, the staff welcomed us warmly, guided us to our Room, and provided very attentive explanations. It felt like the highest level of hospitality—like staying at a luxury Ryokan from the Showa era. The Room features exquisite Nishijin-ori textiles throughout, adding a refined Kyoto touch in many places. The entire building is tatami-floored, which felt great underfoot, and since it is newly built, the fresh scent was very pleasant. In the lounge, you can relax quietly while looking out at Ninna-ji Temple. Dinner was served in a private room, and we enjoyed a wonderful meal made with seasonal ingredients—clearly prepared with great care by the chef. To celebrate our wedding anniversary, we were treated to a special cocktail. It paired well with the food and was delicious. The bath was excellent as expected, and it was always kept impeccably clean no matter when we went in, making it very comfortable to use. This Accommodation was outstanding in every way—I can’t write enough about it. Since children are not allowed to stay here, it’s perfect when you want peaceful time for adults only. Thank you to all the staff for your heartfelt hospitality. We’ve found another favorite Accommodation.

It was a wonderful Accommodation. The Room was spacious, and the open-air bath in the Room was large and continuously flowing, so I enjoyed it many times. There are two private indoor baths and one private open-air bath, so the bathing facilities are excellent. Dinner was served in the Room, everything was delicious, and I finished it all. Breakfast was served in a private dining room with partitions, and it was convenient to order refills of rice, miso soup, and tea via tablet. Breakfast was also very delicious. Having chawanmushi at breakfast made me very happy. I also appreciated that coffee after the meal could be brought to my Room. It stayed cool even in summer, and I was able to relax and fully enjoy both the Onsen and the meals at a leisurely pace. I would definitely like to visit again, and I look forward to staying with you then. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

This was my first stay at an auberge. The French cuisine, enjoyed with chopsticks, was incredibly delicious, and the carefully selected tableware added to the experience. The Onsen was almost like a private bath, with gentle water that left my skin feeling smooth. There was no TV in the room, but it allowed me to relax and unwind fully.

It was my first stay in Nasu. The open-air Onsen and meals were excellent. There is also a wide variety of alcoholic beverages. The maisonette room might not suit everyone's taste, but I found it comfortable.

I stayed at Kuroshio for the first time through a friend's recommendation. I truly appreciated the warm hospitality of the owner and staff. The crab hot pot dinner was incredibly delicious. This is a Ryokan I would love to visit again next year.

I have stayed here several times. I travel frequently for work both in Japan and abroad, but the enjoyable conversations with the hosts, the serene views of the Seto Inland Sea, and the delightful breakfast are truly wonderful. The bread served with honey from their own bees is also delicious. Of course, since the accommodation has been run by the owner since his younger days, the rooms may show their age, but they are clean and well-maintained. The 24-hour access to the bath is much appreciated. Above all, I am deeply moved by the owner's passion for his hometown. His wife is also a lovely and charming person. I would love to stay here again!

During the prefectural resident discount period, we reserved the Chef’s Table, limited to one party per day. This Plan is not a typical “feast” course that simply upgrades ingredients like blackthroat seaperch or A5 wagyu; instead, it is the head chef’s creative kaiseki, carefully prepared with selected local ingredients. Everything was delicious, and each dish was explained in detail—2.5 hours flew by. From August, the standard course will become all-inclusive, and the private free-flowing hot spring bath (previously an extra charge) will also be available. It was already reasonably priced, but now it feels like unbeatable value—we don’t feel like staying anywhere else (laughs). Highly recommended Accommodation.
