This was our sixth stay, and every time we have enjoyed a fun and comfortable visit. All three private open-air (and semi-open-air) baths are available to use as often as you like. Both dinner and breakfast are generous in portion size, perfectly seasoned, and always leave us completely satisfied.

1. Meals Breakfast was excellent, with a great selection including local specialties—we were very satisfied. On mornings when we were short on time, we chose the meat udon! The late-night noodles were great, and the dining staff were kind—we were very satisfied. 2. Bath There were no foreign guests doing unhygienic things like leaving towels in the bathwater, so we could use the bath with peace of mind. We enjoyed the Onsen.

The quality of the Onsen, the Accommodation, and the staff was outstanding. I had wanted to visit Yunotsu Onsen for many years, and it exceeded my expectations. I will definitely try to come back again.

We stayed in a pet-friendly Room. We have used many Hotels before and expected some odor since dogs stay there, but at this Hotel my wife and daughter, who are sensitive to smells, were happy to say they didn’t notice any at all. Also, when we mentioned that our dog cannot stay alone in the Room, we truly appreciated your thoughtful consideration. Thanks to your kindness, it was a refreshing trip for us.

I stayed here recently while touring the Jomo Sanzan mountains. The Accommodation felt a bit dated in places, but it was very well maintained and spotlessly clean throughout. The bath was on the small side, but perhaps because of the time I used it, I was able to relax both times without sharing it with other guests. I had been looking forward to dinner because the Reviews were so positive, and it lived up to my expectations—every dish was carefully prepared and absolutely delicious. The presentation was also enjoyable, and it made me want to visit again just for the dinner. Above all, every staff member was pleasant and attentive, which left a strong impression. I felt comfortable throughout my stay and am very satisfied overall. If I have the opportunity, I would definitely like to stay again.

I stayed at another Accommodation in the same group not long ago, but this was my first return to Tamakiya in 10 years. Last time, discovering Abe Shuzo through the sake pairing was a real highlight, so I did it again this time. Since it was a special occasion, I decided to pay the extra fee and choose the optional premium sake course. It more than lived up to expectations—I truly enjoyed a wide range of excellent sakes, including some with a playful twist. The sommelier’s stories were fascinating, and I wished I could have listened even longer. I was traveling solo, but the staff were consistently courteous and attentive, no different from how they treated larger groups, which I really appreciated. The food was also outstanding: a course featuring plenty of local Niigata ingredients, with every dish delicious from appetizers to dessert. Next time, I’d love to stay in midwinter when there’s deep snow.

I visited hoping to experience a European atmosphere, drawn by Tateshina’s location and the Hotel’s attention to detail that I had read about in advance. On my first trip to Tateshina, I was greeted by a deer as soon as I arrived, and I was thrilled by the rich nature and the refined resort-town feel. The Hotel interior felt so French it was almost surreal, and with so many beautiful paintings like an art museum, I could have spent hours finding a favorite. The Room hand soap was Diptyque, and even the amenities, magazines, and books featured colorful design that kept catching my eye. Local craft beer and soft drinks were included, and I was able to relax in the spacious Room and on the balcony. Dinner and breakfast were delicious, and throughout my stay the staff welcomed me warmly with just the right sense of distance—our conversations were enjoyable, making for a very comfortable time. As others have mentioned, since it’s not easy to visit often, it might be nice if you offered souvenirs for sale that would serve as a keepsake of staying at such a wonderful Hotel. We chose this Accommodation for a 3-night Multiple Night Stay because it can host three pets, has parking, and the hinoki bath was the deciding factor. During the day, we left our pets at a nearby pet house and fully enjoyed sightseeing in Kyoto by rental bicycle. Coming back to the Accommodation and relaxing in the hinoki bath to soothe our tiredness was the best! Also, there was a supermarket nearby, so we had no trouble with meals. The staff were very kind, and we would like to stay again next year. Thank you very much.

We stayed with three families and one dog. The place was spotless, the Facilities were well equipped, and we were extremely satisfied! The BBQ, pool, and sauna were all amazing. The high fence meant we didn’t have to worry about the surroundings at all. We’ve stayed at various dog-friendly villas before, but this one is the best.

This time, I stayed in a corner Room (Type C) on the top floor (4th floor). Because it was a semi-open-air bath with 24-hour circulation, I could use it anytime without the hassle of filling the tub, which was great. I chose a Plan without meals, so I stocked up at a local supermarket before arriving, but the selection of frozen foods and boxed meals there was limited and overpriced—I wish I had shopped at Don Quijote across from Marine Town instead. The check-in process at the Accommodation is a bit unfriendly and may be confusing for first-time guests. You open the sliding window by the stairs on the 1st floor and operate via a touch-panel monitor, but you need to enter your Reservation Number or QR code. You also need to enter information for accompanying guests along with the Reserver’s details, so it would be better if this were explained in advance in the Reservation instructions. It also would have helped to know beforehand that you must pay a Hot Spring Tax of 300 yen per person at check-in. *Depending on the booking site, this information may have been provided. The Room was very clean, and unlike typical hotels, there are plenty of power outlets—so charging devices shouldn’t be an issue. There are also outlets by the bedside (upper area) along with lighting, which is convenient if you charge your phone while sleeping. Free Wi-Fi was available; with three other guest groups (judging by the number of cars in the parking lot), speeds were reasonably good. Getting to the Accommodation may take some effort due to rough road conditions. If you take the road marked “No entry except Minori Village personnel,” it works as a shortcut and you can reach it without problems; however, if you simply follow GPS directions, you may end up on narrow roads and taking a longer route—so checking in advance is recommended. If you’re lucky with other guests, it’s quiet and ideal for relaxing indoors at your own pace. If that concept suits you, I think it’s an excellent Accommodation.

The Ryokan’s traditional atmosphere was wonderful, and because everything is compact and well organized, we were able to stay comfortably. Above all, the staff’s thoughtful and kind hospitality really came through, and our children liked it too. We would love to stay again if we have the chance.

We stayed with a group of five—close friends and family. It was the first weekend of August, and we arrived smoothly with no traffic on the way there. The place was spacious, very clean, and had a great atmosphere—we almost didn’t want to leave the Room, but since the ocean was right in front of us, we headed out. The waves were calm, making it perfect for a relaxing time by the sea. There are probably no beach huts or vending machines nearby, so we recommend bringing your own drinks and other essentials. In the evening we chatted while having a BBQ, then played games together at night—and slept soundly in our beds. The next morning we enjoyed Kamogawa Sea World before heading home. A fully serviced Hotel is comfortable too, but for groups who want to enjoy preparing everything themselves—with plenty of equipment provided—this place is ideal!

I recently stayed at this Accommodation for the first time.\nThere were international staff working on-site, and their service was very polite and welcoming, so I felt at ease even as a first-time guest. Since I was staying with a relative who has some difficulty walking, I checked in advance about stairs; however, there was a small set of steps (about three) without handrails along the route inside the building, which made getting around a bit challenging. I think it would be helpful to have handrails there. I also feel that adding handrails to the open-air bath in the guest room would be beneficial.\nOn the other hand, every meal was delicious and more than enough in quantity—we were very satisfied. The dishes featuring seafood and local ingredients exceeded our expectations, and we were able to enjoy them at a relaxed pace. As our group enjoys drinking, we also appreciated that it was all-inclusive.\nOverall, it was a very satisfying stay, and we were impressed by the attentiveness of all the staff. With a few improvements to the facilities, it would be even more comfortable, but it was a wonderful Accommodation that made us want to visit again.\nThank you very much.

My spouse, our younger daughter, and my 88-year-old mother stayed for one night. The arrival briefing was thorough and easy to understand, and whenever we had questions—at any time and in any place—the staff always responded accurately and courteously. What made us happiest was celebrating my husband’s 70th birthday at the restaurant: they kindly treated us to a special dish with sea bream, red rice, and sake. They also provided my husband with a purple outfit and took a commemorative family photo for us. It became a wonderful celebration, and we were deeply moved by the restaurant team’s thoughtful hospitality. The food was excellent, especially the fresh seafood. We also really enjoyed the Awa Odori event.\nThanks to everyone at the Hotel and restaurant, it was a truly memorable trip, and we are sincerely grateful.

Stayed overnight before an early flight from Haneda Direct access from the station was very convenient—I could get there without walking through town with a suitcase. Information about nearby convenience stores was also provided in advance, which helped me prepare. However, should the airport shuttle bus require a Reservation? I went to the bus stop well ahead of my planned departure time, but it arrived at the last minute and made me a bit anxious.

Thank you very much for taking such great care of us during our stay. As it was just after the reopening, the Facility felt brand new, and we were able to spend our time comfortably in a clean environment. In the large public bath, the scent of wood instantly helped us unwind, and the ocean view through the full-height windows was breathtaking. Even though we were on the east side of the Boso Peninsula, we were surprised to be able to see the sun setting—and it was so beautiful that we couldn’t take our eyes off it. It truly deserves its place among “Japan’s 100 Best Accommodations with Sunset Views.” The rooftop open-air bath we used before bed was softly lit with indirect lighting and had a calm atmosphere. Soaking while listening to the sound of water flowing into the tub made all our everyday fatigue melt away, and we could relax from the bottom of our hearts. It was a wonderfully soothing moment. We enjoyed both dinner and breakfast. The new dining venue had a Japanese-inspired design, creating a lovely atmosphere and a comfortable space. Dinner was served half-buffet style. We were first served sashimi, beautifully presented with an impressively fresh taste. We were also surprised to be served abalone and splendid alfonsino (kinmedai). The abalone remained tender even when grilled, and the kinmedai had an elegant flavor. The buffet also featured an excellent live kitchen: tempura was freshly fried, and there was even Kazusa beef steak. Both were tender, making for a highly satisfying dinner. Breakfast was also buffet-style, and we were amazed by how extensive the selection was. In addition to standard items like salads, there were also sashimi and overnight-dried fish. The turban shell curry (sazae curry) left a lasting impression with its rich flavor, and the nikujaga comforted us with its gentle taste. At the live kitchen they made omelets for us—large portions with great volume—another very satisfying dish. Our Room was spacious and spotless. Above all, through wall-to-wall glass windows stretching across one entire side of the Room, there was nothing but ocean—so much so that we found ourselves sitting in chairs simply gazing outside for quite some time. Fireworks were launched from right in front of us at the fishing port as well—it was incredibly powerful up close. We had never seen fireworks from such close range before, making it an unforgettable experience. And most impressive of all was truly the service provided by your staff. We felt thoughtful attention everywhere throughout our stay; their hospitality was consistently attentive. It made for an extremely comfortable visit—a day we were completely satisfied with. When we visit Kamogawa again, we would love to stay here again.

We traveled as three generations with my mother and my 90-year-old grandmother. The meals and the service were very reassuring—just what you’d expect from a Hotel that also hosts weddings. The bath had a sauna, but it would have been even better with a cold plunge pool. At night we went stargazing, and in the morning we took a walk to SAWAMURA. I think it’s a great Hotel that all ages can enjoy. Thank you very much.

This was our second stay. We had such a wonderful time last time that I came again with my mother, who loves art. She was delighted by the tower’s distinctive steel framework running through the Room and the many artworks throughout the Hotel. Thank you to all the staff for kindly explaining everything as she asked questions. At night, Accommodation guests only can take an elevator through a hidden door up to the observation deck. The special touch made our hearts race. Spending time looking out over the quiet city at night felt truly luxurious, and I was able to give my mother a moment that only a Hotel stay can offer. Breakfast featured a wide variety of dishes made with local ingredients, and both my mother and I were very satisfied. Afterward, we were even served special petit fours, and we fully enjoyed tea time as well. This time, my mother and I took a relaxing stroll around Sakae on this one-night, two-day mini trip with staying at this Hotel as our main purpose. Thank you for such a comfortable stay. We are grateful for everyone’s thoughtful hospitality. We’ll be back again.

It was a very clean and convenient Hotel. It is family-friendly for guests with children and has a luxurious feel. For breakfast, I was happy to enjoy Nagoya specialties such as hitsumabushi and miso katsu. The gelato was also very delicious. At night, we could see fireworks. The night view was also very beautiful. During the day, you can see many trains, so this Hotel is also recommended for train lovers.
