We stayed as a family of five, including three children! The Room has a toilet, shower room, and electric kettle. We stayed in a second-floor Room, and right after going down the stairs there was a shared kitchen with a microwave, toaster, rice cooker, and more. There was also a dispenser where we could easily get water, tea, and coffee. There is a supermarket about a 10-minute walk away. Wi-Fi is available too! If I had to ask for one thing, it would have been nice to have a TV.

The service was very courteous, and the cleanliness exceeded expectations. I am very satisfied.

The owner and guests maintain a perfect balance of interaction—neither overly attentive nor neglectful, with a calm demeanor. The women's restroom is located outside the dormitory room, but everyone leaves the electronic door unlocked while using it, indicating a trustworthy environment. There are no noisy disturbances at night, and the international guests are respectful. The beds have just the right firmness, and the bedding is clean. Each bed comes with a secure locker for valuables, as well as a small light and power outlet. The flooring around the beds is spotless. This is one of the best dormitories I’ve ever stayed in!

The room was excellent. Although there were reviews mentioning noise from neighbors or other sounds, I experienced none of that. However, the bed mattress was too soft, which made it a bit uncomfortable to sleep. Other than that, the location is great and everything was perfect! The front desk staff provided polite service, making my stay very comfortable. Thank you!

We stayed as a family of four (myself, eldest son, eldest daughter, and youngest daughter), and my daughters were delighted with how spacious and clean it was. The option to choose between 2 beds and 2 futons was also a nice touch. Although we only used the electric kettle, I think the coffee maker would be appreciated by coffee lovers. Having two sinks (which was a great help for my daughters) and a non-unit bath was also very nice. Personally, I would have appreciated a washbasin in the bath. (When multiple people use the bath, using and adding water to the bathtub helps circulate and keep the water clean.) There is no parking lot, but there are several coin-operated parking lots nearby, so it wasn't a problem. (It's a bit tight for an Alphard class vehicle, though...) When I visit Kyoto again, I would like to stay at Kyo Machiya Stays "Rin" (including other properties of the same brand).

Convenience stores, hospitals, monorail access, and supermarkets are all within walking distance. The surroundings are quiet with a great view! It was a perfect stay!

This was my third stay. Was it the female owner? She was very kind and helpful. Unfortunately, there was no refrigerator in the Room, so I had no choice but to throw away my tea. The bedding, bath, and toilet were all kept very clean. Thank you for taking care of me.

Conveniently located with easy transportation access and close to Kyoto Station. We booked a Room with a double bed. As we stayed as a couple, it felt a bit small, but we were satisfied considering the price. As expected in Kyoto, all the other guests were international travelers.

The alarm kept ringing every morning after 4 a.m., disrupting my sleep. Since it was on snooze, it went off multiple times. If you weren't going to wake up, I wish you had turned off the snooze function.

I used it as a base for activities during a tournament in Ayase. It's a bit of a walk from the station, but not too far. Check-in was smooth, and the front desk staff were kind. The room was simple, but considering the price, it was excellent! There were even cooking utensils, which was helpful for an affordable Multiple Night Stay. There was also a supermarket within walking distance. If I had to say, I would have liked a chair, haha. Overall, I was satisfied with the hotel. I will stay again if I have the chance.

The property is a bit old, but I was able to spend my time comfortably. The staff's response was courteous and kind, making it a pleasant experience.

I was looking for a hotel near Meiji Jingu, and it was very good as it was 1.6km away from the shrine and within walking distance. I would like to use it again when I visit the shrine in the future.

There was a strong body odor left in the room, possibly from a previous guest, and even after ventilating for several hours with the windows open, it did not go away. Other than that, I was very satisfied and had no issues even without a toilet or shower in the room—it was very pleasant.

This was a Hotel without on-site staff. I chose this Hotel to visit the special exhibition at the Kyoto National Museum early in the morning. It is about a 7-minute walk to the museum. The area near the museum has many high-class Hotels with high prices. I searched based on price and proximity to the museum. Check-in was at a reception near Kyoto Station, which made me slightly nervous, but I received the key and entrance code before heading to the Hotel. I took a bus from Kyoto Station, and there was a convenience store between the bus stop and the Hotel. Using a map app, I arrived at the Hotel smoothly. The room was very clean, with high ceilings that made it feel spacious (2nd-floor Room). Amenities were well-prepared, including coffee grounds and paper filters for hand-drip coffee making. Both bathroom and toilet were clean, with a powerful hairdryer provided as well. Noise from neighboring Rooms wasn’t much of an issue, allowing for an enjoyable stay overall!

Thank you for your hospitality. The place was thoroughly cleaned from corner to corner, and I had a very comfortable stay. The price is reasonable, so I’m very satisfied. Check-in is at a location away from the Accommodation, but since it’s near the airport, it didn’t bother me much when arriving in Miyako in the afternoon. The front desk staff were very polite and kind. I’ll note only a few things that concerned me: - The entrance door didn’t close well; it wouldn’t lock unless I pressed it firmly with my palm. - Having umbrellas available was very helpful, but one of them had broken ribs. - The toilet door also wasn’t working properly. - One screw on the handle of the cupboard has come off. - I thought Sunayama Beach was a 3-minute walk away, but it’s more like a 3-minute drive. That was my mistake for not checking carefully enough. - Since the rice cooker is loaned out, it would have been helpful if this could be confirmed at check-in. Overall these are minor points. Since there are other ecot properties on Miyakojima as well, I may also ask about renting a car next time. Thank you very much.

I stayed for one night starting on 2026/8/1. [Parking] Since I had made an advance Reservation, I could park with peace of mind. There was plenty of space on the sides, so getting in and out was very easy. However, because there is a fence in front, larger vehicles may need to make a few adjustments to park (I parked a Delica). [Front Desk] The woman who checked me in was very pleasant and left a great impression. [Room] They had pushed two larger beds together, so our family of four could sleep comfortably without feeling cramped. There was also a sofa, dining table, kitchen, and refrigerator, so even with our luggage spread out it didn’t feel crowded. [Bathroom] It felt like a home bathroom, and the shower water pressure was fine. [Washing Machine] There is a washing machine (you need to bring your own detergent) and a gas dryer. Because it’s gas-powered, everything came out fluffy without wrinkles. [Balcony] It’s spacious. If you have a Multiple Night Stay, you can hang laundry outside. [Location] Right in front are FamilyMart and Tenkaippin (ramen), and there’s also a drugstore about a 2-minute walk away. American Village is less than about a 10-minute walk away as well, which is very convenient. This was an Accommodation I would like to stay at again.

The location was excellent, right in the middle of Chinatown. Although we didn’t use them this time, there were appliances, pots, and plates available for self-catering, which was very convenient. However, the water pressure in the shower was very weak, and it felt cold during winter.
