We booked a Japanese-style Room at this Hotel based on everyone’s Reviews, and it was truly spotless. There was none of the dust or grime we often notice at other hotels—not in the corners and not even in the grout around the bathtub. A stay this comfortable is rare. We were able to relax as if we were at home. It’s close to the station, and Super Naganoya (they also sell bento boxes with unique product names) is nearby, so there was no inconvenience at all. In front of the front desk, there is welcome shochu, a microwave, and rental items available. In the Japanese-style Room, the only outlet for phone charging is under the TV, so a longer charging cable may be helpful (chargers were also available to borrow near the front desk).

Overall, this was a Ryokan with an exceptionally high level of satisfaction. This time, we stayed in the Kusamakura Room. There were two of us, but the Room was so spacious it felt almost too large, and premium amenities were provided—so much so that we didn’t need to bring anything from home. The Room has its own bath, and when you open the door it becomes an open-air bath, which was wonderful. There was also a footbath in the garden outside. Because the hot spring source temperature is low—and perhaps because other guests start filling their baths right after check-in—it was a bit disappointing that filling the bath while heating it took quite some time. The meals were very satisfying, featuring spiny lobster, and all of the tableware used was beautiful as well. At check-in, you can choose stylish chopsticks yourself and take them home; even after returning home, seeing them brings back lovely memories.

The dinner was truly luxurious, just as mentioned in the reviews, and the portions were incredibly large! I felt sorry for not being able to finish it all... It would be nice to have bath towels included in the amenities! There were four friendly and adorable cats outside (*^^*).

The moment I stepped into the Room, I couldn’t help but say, “Wow!” It was spacious, spotless, and truly amazing. The large, beautiful living space was wonderful, and the bathroom and vanity area were also incredibly stylish. The bath even had microbubbles, and the shower fixtures were uniquely placed and very chic. Everything in the refrigerator and the snacks were free. There were also delicious Ajari Mochi in the Room—such thoughtful hospitality in every detail. And it wasn’t just stylish and clean: there were two power outlets by each side of the bed, plenty of outlets throughout, a full-length mirror that was easy to use, and pajamas that were extremely comfortable—everything was simply outstanding. The service was polite and kind, making my stay very comfortable. Breakfast delivered to the Room featured delicious dishes from Sensan. It came in a bento box, but the rice was warm and the soup was piping hot—truly delicious. I was moved by such an elegant breakfast. The view from the Room was also stunningly beautiful. I’m so happy I got to stay here. Thank you very much.

I stayed in a single, but it was more like a partitioned space with a curtain at the entrance than a private Room. The pull-out storage was convenient. I had a chance to talk with another guest staying in a single, and it was a nice time. The women-only washroom, toilets, and bath area were clean. Convenience stores and shops are within walking distance, but restaurants may be fully booked or closed on certain days. The Shuttle Service was very helpful. You can freely use the lounge where you can bring your own food. Sometimes there is no staff at reception, but you can contact them by mobile phone when needed. Wi-Fi in the Room building was hard to connect to, so I used it near reception instead. If I visit Rishiri again, I would like to stay here again.

It was clean, and the living space was just the right size. The rate was comparable to a Business Hotel, so I decided to stay without hesitation. Like a condominium, it has a kitchen area, a washing machine, and separate bath and toilet facilities, so I felt it would be convenient even for long-term stays. I would like to use it again.

This was our first stay. The best part was how delicious the meals were. For dinner we had a course meal, and my wife and I were truly impressed—it was delicious, beautiful to look at, lightly seasoned, and let us enjoy the natural flavors of the ingredients. The only minor complaint was that one piece of steak was a bit hard to chew, but overall the quality more than made up for it. Breakfast was also very good; it would have been even better if we could have had refills of bread. It seems to be family-run, and the hospitality felt warm and welcoming, making our stay very comfortable. They even saw us off in the parking lot when we left, which made us want to come back again. If we visit the San’in area again, we would definitely like to stay here. Thank you very much.

On the way there, it was tough because the road was too narrow for cars to pass and there was heavy mist, but I was able to enjoy this wonderful cottage all to myself in a quiet, secluded location. The elderly woman who handled our communication was very kind, and the day after my stay she brought me homemade brown rice okowa, green shiso kelp, and daikon with chirimen—everything was delicious. I will definitely be back.

We stayed for two nights. The garden and the house were very stylish and beautifully maintained. We brought our pit bull with us, and it was great to be able to play ball in the spacious yard. The dining area, kitchen, bathroom, and bedrooms were all kept very clean, so we had a comfortable stay. It’s also spacious enough for large dogs, highly recommended.

We stayed as a family of five. It was very reasonably priced, yet we were comfortable throughout our 3-night stay! All the staff were very pleasant. Since it was a No Meals Included stay, we didn’t have much interaction, but we felt at ease during our stay. We chose a Multiple Night Stay Plan with no cleaning, but the Room was so clean that it didn’t bother us at all. The bathroom and other water areas were extremely clean. I often notice a bit of mold in Hotel bathrooms, but the bathroom in this Hotel Room was truly spotless and comfortable with no stress. We also liked that the bath and toilet were separate. Because there wasn’t anything unnecessary, it stayed clean and was very comfortable. Although this Plan doesn’t include cleaning, they do take out the trash and replace towels, which was great. It’s a bit of a walk from the station, but since we were traveling, it was fun to stroll there. When we visit Osaka again, we’d love to stay here again.

Everything was well equipped like home, the Room was spacious, and there was a play area for children, so our family was very satisfied with our stay. The location near Kotoni Station was also very convenient for getting anywhere. It said that luggage storage before check-in and after check-out was available, but we were worried about how it would work since the place is unmanned until we arrived. There was a baggage port in front of the reception counter (see photo). Hope this helps future guests. We would like to stay here again when visiting Sapporo.

We stayed with our family of three and one toy poodle. The large Christmas tree was beautiful. The weather was perfect, and we enjoyed the sunrise over the stunning sea and a sky full of stars! As for meals, there were condiments, beverages, a spacious kitchen, appliances like a toaster, pots, griddles, and more—everything we needed to cook by just bringing our own ingredients. There was even a coffee maker for an elegant tea time! The Onsen made us feel the natural hot spring source and left us warm and relaxed. For our dog, amenities like a cage, bed, pet sheets were provided—very thoughtful! We would love to stay here again!

This Accommodation is well known for its excellent cuisine. The dishes were beautifully presented and tasted outstanding. While primarily Japanese, they also incorporated Western elements, offering new flavors and textures that made every course memorable. The Onsen was neither too hot nor too cold—just the right temperature—and the water quality also felt very good. I was extremely satisfied with both the meals and the Onsen. The staff were polite and kind. If I had to mention areas for improvement, although it can’t be helped that the Facility is old overall, there was no air conditioning in the corridors, so I started sweating on the way back to my Room after bathing. Also, there was only one face towel in the Room, so I ended up drying and reusing the towel I took to the bath. I was also concerned that an emergency light in a corridor seemed close to burning out. Despite many wonderful points, a few things were disappointing.

While the building and Facility are undeniably aging, there is free parking, and considering the price, I think it is more than adequate. It is only natural that paying a higher rate generally comes with better facilities, so reviews should be based on how it was relative to the price, and I would rate it as fully satisfactory. I would stay again if I have the opportunity.

We stayed here as a family. The Room interior is very cute. It was just right for two adults and two children. The bathroom and other water areas were bright and very clean, so we could use them comfortably. Having a drum-style washer-dryer was also great, since we could wash and dry our clothes. Detergent, hangers, and everything needed for laundry were fully provided—such thoughtful attention to detail. There was also a good selection of kitchen items, so it seems you could stay several nights without any inconvenience. For breakfast, we sat at the garden table and chairs, enjoyed coffee brewed from the beans provided, and had bread from a local bakery. We were able to relax while looking out at the sea and enjoy an extraordinary getaway. When we visit Shodoshima again, we would definitely love to stay here again. Thank you very much for such a wonderful time.

This is my fifth stay. I keep coming back because check-in is easy and I’m not tied to strict time constraints. The Room also has a nice, camping-like feel in a good way, which I really like.

Close to the sea and in an excellent location. The Room and unit bath were very clean, making for a comfortable stay. There was also more parking than expected, so it feels reassuring even if you’re traveling by car. There’s a supermarket within walking distance, and a gas station nearby as well, which is convenient. However, if you plan to use local shops or an Onsen, it’s a good idea to have cash on hand. I stayed for two nights and was very satisfied using it as a base for dining out, bathing, and sightseeing. I also felt the value for money was excellent. The breakfast buffet is homemade and thoughtfully prepared with health in mind. There’s a wide variety of items—I was impressed they offer so much. The only downside was that I couldn’t eat much since it was early in the morning. The owner and staff were also very kind and helpful, making the stay pleasant. Overall, I think this is an Accommodation with exceptionally high satisfaction as a Business Hotel.

This was my first stay. Even in an everyday setting, the Onsen and sauna are right in front of you, and you can use them anytime you feel like it. The staff’s service was just the right level—in a good way. It truly was a stress-free Accommodation. There was nothing to worry about, so I relaxed a little too much and didn’t quite get fully refreshed. I’d like to come back soon for another reset. It was a wonderful Accommodation. True to the meaning of an auberge, the full-course dinner and the breakfast are exquisite. The tableware, flowers, furnishings, and above all the madam and the chef’s son made it even more special, allowing us to spend a truly wonderful and enriching time. Google Maps navigation led us onto an unexpectedly difficult road to reach the Accommodation, but from the warm welcome by the madam until our departure, our whole family was deeply moved by their heartfelt hospitality. This is an unforgettable Accommodation we would love to visit again in a different season.
