Although the layout suggests it may once have been a love hotel, the property has been fully renovated and feels nothing like that. Above all, everything is spotless down to every corner; even the hallways are air-conditioned, making it comfortable, and the scent is like that of a high-end Hotel. The room is spacious with none of the cramped feel of a typical business Hotel, and the bath is more than adequate even for two people; the shower pressure is excellent. It’s also great that you can freely pick up amenities at reception. Notably, luggage storage after check-out is available, making sightseeing after your stay easy and stress-free. With outstanding access from Hankyu and Keihan lines, this Accommodation offers unbeatable value in the Gion area.

Breakfast was delicious. Since I checked in late, I’d like to stay next time with a Plan that includes dinner.

This was our second stay with a friend’s family. Once again, we were completely satisfied. From the welcome drinks, you were also very considerate of the children. You even prepared the rice cooker we had talked about last year, so we were able to enjoy rice with whitebait in the morning. We look forward to staying again next summer for our third visit.

I was very satisfied with the cleanliness and comfort of the Room, as well as the Facility. I think it offers excellent value for money. Both the female and male front desk staff were efficient and courteous, which I really appreciated. It was perfect for a casual overnight stay. I would definitely like to stay here again.

Close to Nakasu’s nightlife district, yet quiet and relaxing. Simple and clean—everything experienced travelers need, and nothing more. With self check-in, a number-lock entry system, and only basic amenities, it may not suit guests expecting full service.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our 3-day, 2-night stay. Coming from sweltering, bustling Tokyo, we were first soothed by the quiet, refreshing surroundings. The property was impeccably maintained throughout, and thanks to the attentive hospitality of the owner and staff, we felt very comfortable and were able to relax completely. And above all—the meals! The full-course dinner menu changed each day and featured luxurious dishes made with fresh ingredients; every course was delicious, and we enjoyed them until we were completely satisfied. For the horseback riding experience, we joined the 90-minute course—crossing grassy fields and wading through a small stream felt like a little adventure. It was a wonderful trip that will remain a cherished family memory. Thank you very much.

The room was neither too spacious nor too small, just the right size for two adults. The room was also clean (though I noticed a long hair on the robe, which concerned me slightly). The bath was an open-air one, and while there were houses a bit further away that made me wonder if they could see in, there were adjustable automatic shutters. When fully lowered, they completely blocked the view from outside and kept out the cold air. Despite snow remaining from the previous day, we could enjoy a warm soak without feeling chilly. The temperature of the bath was just right for relaxing. Concerns: We chose a plan with in-room dining for our meals. However, after grilling meat during dinner, its smell lingered throughout the room until bedtime. While it might have been our oversight as well, future guests opting for this plan might want to keep their bedroom doors closed during meals to avoid this issue. It would be considerate if staff could mention this when serving meals or perhaps provide additional amenities like room sprays alongside air purifiers to enhance comfort further. That said, the meat was tender and delicious; other dishes were also very tasty with portions that felt just right. With free beer dispensers, ice cream machines, drinks in the fridge available at no extra cost, and even foot baths provided—this is overall a wonderful accommodation! Next time I’d love to visit again with my mother. Thank you for your hospitality!

The location is surrounded by nothing, but that also means it’s wonderfully quiet, and you can spend a blissful time surrounded by antique furniture. It’s a very distinctive Hotel with an outstanding atmosphere. Since the rooms are fully visible from the Lake Garden promenade, you may hesitate to approach the windows carelessly in light clothing after 9:00 a.m. Dinner is served at an affiliated restaurant in Kyu-Karuizawa, which also features a wonderful classical interior and truly delicious food.

Highly recommended for sauna lovers! The private sauna was available anytime, so we could enjoy it as often as we liked and then relax outdoors while taking in the lush green views. The open-air bath was also spacious, and the scenery was soothing—an absolutely wonderful experience. The food was delicious, and we enjoyed a leisurely meal. They also kindly accommodated my friend’s birthday at dessert time, which made my friend very happy. All of the staff were friendly, and we had a very comfortable stay. It’s a place that makes you want to come back. It would be lovely during cherry blossom season, or in autumn when you can enjoy chestnuts as well. We’d love to visit again. This was a wonderful accommodation that provided comfort and peace of mind in every aspect, including the room, meals, and service. The owner's excellent taste was evident in the facilities, furnishings, and even the smallest details like utensils. Everything felt thoughtfully prepared, making for an exceptionally pleasant stay. The amenities and decor were well-balanced—neither excessive nor lacking—showing careful consideration in their preparation. It is a place I hope will continue to thrive for years to come. Above all, the staff member who assisted us (perhaps the owner's wife?) was incredibly kind and helpful. As we were looking for antique Imari ware or Kutani porcelain in Kanazawa, she went out of her way to research and provide us with detailed information, which we greatly appreciated. Breakfast was also outstanding; it featured beautifully presented dishes on Kanazawa-style tableware with exceptional hospitality. The tofu prepared from the night before was particularly delicious. In an era where some accommodations focus solely on appearances while lacking genuine service quality, this is a refined accommodation designed for adults seeking a high-quality space to relax. Although it is small in scale and does not offer dinner service, I hope it will be cherished by those who understand its unique charm so that it may continue for many years to come. We would love to visit again someday! (Since there was no dinner service at this accommodation, we enjoyed an excellent meal at Kanazawa Gyokusentei about 5 minutes away by taxi.)

The original Onsen temperature was a bit high, so adjusting it each time was slightly inconvenient, but having both indoor and outdoor baths at this price is amazing. Truly luxurious! I also appreciated the massage chair. I had requested amenities and towels in advance, and they prepared plenty for me, including body lotion, which was very helpful.

I traveled to Nagasaki for a Golden Week getaway. Away from everyday life, I was able to fully enjoy a quiet, restorative retreat. The hospitality was truly exceptional—there was nothing to fault. The food was also outstanding. I thoroughly enjoyed the ingredients from Hirado, and every dish was delicious. It was my first time trying a morning sauna, and I could relax while watching the ever-changing sea view. At checkout, they even prepared drinks for our car ride home. It was my first time experiencing that kind of thoughtfulness, and I was genuinely moved. This Accommodation exceeded my expectations in every way, and I’d love to stay again.

Not only the Room, but the entire Accommodation is designed as a very calm and relaxing space that feels truly refreshing. The futon is fluffy and comfortable, so you can sleep well. At night, you’ll hear only the sounds of nature, and the sunset view from the terrace of the shared lounge Room is wonderful. A morning visit to Unagihime Shrine is also recommended.

Hearing that the auberge offered a full-course French dinner, I quickly booked as soon as a room became available. Every dish was beautifully presented and delicious. I’m not an expert in French cuisine, but it felt like authentic local cooking rather than “Japanized” French food. I was especially impressed by the healthy, colorful beet-based appetizers and desserts, the tangy tomato soup, and the bone-in lamb—along with vegetables on the same plate, each carefully seasoned differently. The highlight was the nougat glacé for dessert. It was my first time trying it; it looked beautiful, and I loved its pleasantly firm texture and sweetness. I can see why some guests visit just for this menu. I would love to return.

While planning our Golden Week trip, I happened to be drawn to the place name and this Accommodation’s name and made a Reservation. This is an Accommodation created by restoring a traditional old house, and this time we stayed in a Room renovated from a storehouse. Right after making the Reservation, I noted that we would have a wheelchair user, and I truly appreciated your courteous call in response. Thanks to that, we were able to arrive feeling at ease on the day. Staying in a storehouse was a first-time experience for us, and the delicious farm-to-table breakfast and dinner at the restaurant were wonderful. The great-value selection of wines was especially irresistible for wine lovers. I also loved how the original structure blends with the renovated elements—personally, I’m fond of glasswork and fittings—so this place was filled with delightful details. I also learned that “Roven,” the Accommodation’s name, refers to their signature roll cabbage dish being slowly finished in an oven. It was an exceptional dish that completely changed my idea of roll cabbage—I want to eat it again soon. Even though it was Golden Week with crowds and traffic everywhere, Otaki Town felt unhurried; it has that nostalgic “good old Japan” hometown atmosphere—a town where you can truly feel “many great joys,” just as its name suggests. We’re very grateful for everyone’s kindness. Next time, we’d like to stay longer—explore more of town and ride the Isumi Railway as well. On our way home, my husband and I found ourselves happily talking about when we should return next time with our family. Thank you very much.

Fresh sashimi and a variety of colorful, vibrant dishes were served, so much that I couldn't finish them all. The dessert at dinner was also incredibly delicious. Since I couldn't finish everything during dinner, I was allowed to take it back to my Room and enjoyed it after my bath. The bath and the Room were clean, spacious, and very convenient to use. When I sent photos of the food to my parents, they said it looked amazing. Next time, I'd love to bring my parents along. Shakujin Shrine was nearby as well, so I was able to fulfill my wish of visiting there!

After arriving at the Accommodation, we borrowed an electric scooter and took a stroll along the seaside. Back in the Room, we worked up a sweat in the wood-burning stove sauna and felt refreshed, then enjoyed ice cream in the lounge while playing Pac-Man (lol). For dinner, we savored dishes featuring superb live squid and Saga beef with Tiger Beer, then went to sleep in a spacious bed while gazing out at the sea. Breakfast was also excellent—the rice was sweet and delicious, paired with local specialties like mirin-dried fish and squid shumai that you can only find here. After that, we took a cruise ship around Kabeshima Island. In the calm summer Genkai Sea, on the far side of Kabeshima we saw columnar joints like natural stone walls, listened to stories about islands near and far, and felt the wind as the boat sped along. We truly enjoyed an exceptionally special time. There are still so many great points I can’t even write them all—this all-inclusive Plan is simply amazing. On our way back they drove us to Karatsu-Nishi Station, making it easy to get to Hakata as well; it’s surprisingly accessible even without a car. This is an Accommodation I’ll keep remembering fondly long after returning home.
