It was a quiet, relaxing Hotel—exactly as expected. The Room was also very comfortable. It made me appreciate the space all over again, and the entire Hotel truly feels like ART. Breakfast was delicious, and I was completely satisfied! All the staff were very kind, and it made me want to stay here again whenever I visit Kyoto.

It was a very comfortable space, and there were bathrooms with a sauna and jet bath on both the 1st and 2nd floors, so two families could use them without hesitation. There were also thoughtful provisions that made it possible to cook for ourselves, allowing us to enjoy a very fulfilling stay. Thank you very much.

This was my second stay. I chose the plan for guests aged 50 and over, which included spiny lobster, abalone, and golden eye snapper. The meals were so delicious that I decided to return. Both the fish-focused dinner and the breakfast featuring spiny lobster miso soup and grilled horse mackerel were satisfying and filling. However, there were two things I found a bit disappointing this time. First, there was noise after 11:30 PM. It seemed to come from upstairs, possibly due to cleaning in the bath area. Other than that, it was very quiet, so the noise at night surprised me. Second, while they were preparing my futon bed, my coffee cup was taken away even though I had been using it. When I wanted to drink coffee later on but couldn’t find the cup anymore, it left me feeling disappointed. The staff serving breakfast were very pleasant and made for a nice departure experience overall. Since Awa-Kominato is one of my favorite places, I'll probably visit again in the future. Even if accommodations are not large-scale establishments, I'd like to choose based on their unique qualities each time!

Traveling with my dog, we enjoyed a wonderful view with Kofu Beach right in front of us (a crystal-clear sea popular with surfers; the shoreline has become narrower than in the past, but the ocean feels even more powerful now). It rained the next day, but when I visited before, the sun rose over the sea—highly recommended for a picture-perfect view. Next time, I definitely want to see the sunrise. The Hotel staff were very kind and even took a commemorative photo for us in the lobby, so we have a great keepsake. Thank you very much.

We stayed here a few years ago and returned because of the outstanding, one-of-a-kind location right above the sea. We’ve used several properties in THE HOUSE series, and this one has the most impressive sense of closeness to the ocean. It’s a short walk from the parking area, but that actually adds to the special feel. The only disappointment was that both the red and white shabu-shabu broths at dinner were spicy. At our home, shabu-shabu isn’t something we associate with spicy flavors, and we chose a meal-included Plan because shabu-shabu is usually something children can eat as well. Since neither of us adults can handle spicy food either, once we realized both broths were spicy, we rushed to a convenience store to buy a non-spicy hot pot soup base... I imagine families with children may stay here too, so it would be helpful if the meal description clearly stated when only spicy options are provided. That said, both the meat and vegetables were very delicious.

I always enjoy Route Inn’s services, especially the breakfast and large public bath. I also look forward to the local specialty dishes served at breakfast in each prefecture. I will stay again.

The meals exceeded our expectations. True to the auberge’s name, we were extremely satisfied not only with the flavors but also with the generous portions. For dinner, we enjoyed items such as angel shrimp and steak. For dessert, the chef served each portion at our table. Breakfast was also excellent, with homemade sausage, ham, ketchup, and more. We were also very happy with the homemade jam souvenir. The outdoor bath could be reserved for private use, so we were able to relax at our own pace. The mini jet bath in the Onsen was wonderful as well. In a quiet and spotless Room, we were able to spend a truly relaxing and fulfilling time. We highly recommend this Accommodation.

I often stay here when visiting Kobe because it’s in a quiet area of Kitano, and the spacious layout makes it very relaxing. It takes about 12–13 minutes to get into the city, but it’s an easy walk downhill (though the uphill walk back is tough). There are also restaurants on site, and during my two-night stay I was able to enjoy both Japanese and Western cuisine.

Although it was hot outside in summer, the Hotel Room felt fresh and comfortable. With a semi-open-air Onsen bath, we relaxed and toasted as a couple while looking out at the deep-blue sea with a cold canned beer in hand—it made us feel truly happy. We enjoyed the Onsen many times until around 10:30 a.m. the next morning. Since we are both over 60, we were able to stay at a discounted rate. For dinner, we went to the neighboring seafood market “Mushigamaya,” which is also highly recommended. The Hotel breakfast can be delivered to your Room; it was delicious and my wife was very pleased. We would like to stay again.

Although we often visit Kyoto on day trips, we decided to stay overnight for a change and used this Hotel as a family. We checked in early and planned to sightsee around the Hotel, but it was so comfortable that we didn’t go out and instead relaxed in our Room. The building, made with locally sourced timber, had a wonderful atmosphere, and the Room Facility was new and very pleasant. All of the Hotel staff were extremely helpful. Personally, I found the welcome sweets especially delicious. If I have the chance, I would definitely like to stay again.

This was my first stay at Route Inn Hotel. The Room and Facility were clean, and it even had a large public bath, which I wasn’t expecting. Breakfast was also included and delicious, so I was very satisfied with my stay. I’d be happy to use it again on future trips!

It’s not very far from Onoda Station. The Room was clean. There were plenty of hangers, which was convenient. Deodorizing spray is also provided. Body towels for the bath are also available at the front desk. The two women at the front desk were very helpful. If I have another opportunity, I would be happy to stay again.

I stayed on the No Meals Included Plan. I really liked the Room and was able to spend a fulfilling time. The staff were very kind, and I had a very pleasant stay. It rained this time, so if I have the chance next time, I’d like to relax on the rooftop.

This is a wonderful Accommodation. We truly felt the kindness in your hospitality. The meals were lavish and absolutely delicious. The quality, portion size, and flavor were so exceptional that we almost felt guilty enjoying them at this price. Breakfast was also very satisfying, and the fluffy rolled omelet was truly impressive. When we mentioned that we would be staying to celebrate my mother’s 88th birthday, you served sekihan (red bean rice), which deeply moved her. This time, since the bath was under renovation, we went to a nearby Facility to bathe; once the bath is completed, I’m sure this will become an even more outstanding Accommodation. If we have the chance, we would definitely love to stay again. To everyone at Yohkosou, I know you are very busy—please take good care of yourselves. In a small Japanese-style room, I enjoyed the sweetness of local vegetables while imagining that merchants from long ago might have stayed here alone as well. Perhaps because of the terrain there is no railway, which may help create the town’s calm atmosphere. On the way back, when I was kindly given a ride on the bus toward Chichibu, I was deeply impressed by driving that was more considerate than anything I have ever experienced. Even on mountain roads, the driver’s smooth control never caused sudden tilts in any direction, and he consistently kept safely to the left edge of the road to allow oncoming traffic to pass. I wasn’t able to thank the driver when getting off, so please allow me to express my gratitude here.

I made a last-minute Reservation the night before and stayed here. The Room had dog amenities, and there was also a trash bin for dog waste in the shared area outside the entrance, which was very helpful. The private bath while looking out at the greenery was also incredibly relaxing. Every meal was delicious, and there was more than enough food even for someone with a big appetite like me—I was very satisfied! I worry that my dog might bark if left alone in the Room, but I could bring my dog along to meals and the bath, so I felt at ease throughout my stay. Thank you for such a comfortable stay from check-in to check-out.

We were happy to see the energetic Hokkaido dogs again—Miyon, Dan, and Dolly! This Accommodation was satisfying in every way, from the Onsen to the meals, and they even moved our “repeat guest” plaque to our 8th car. Thank you to all the staff for your consistently warm and attentive hospitality.

This Accommodation features only 10 detached villas, surrounded by rice fields and the deep green of the mountains. You’ll be welcomed by Mi-chan, our resident cat, along with the friendly Kamo team. In the open-air bath attached to your Room, you might even be greeted by a tiny Japanese tree frog—small enough to fit on your fingertip. The meals are delicious and perfectly portioned. All staff were warm and welcoming, making our stay truly comfortable. We’ll definitely be back!

Now that our family schedules finally lined up, we stayed at Yunishikawa Honkan again. The open-air bath is the perfect temperature for us, and this wonderful natural hot spring keeps our bodies warm until the next morning when we soak slowly and relax. We also always look forward to the Japanese meals, which are consistently delicious. The many dishes and the local sake tasting are excellent as well. The Onsen egg served with breakfast is outstanding, and this time too we ordered two packs to take home as a souvenir. For us as a parent and child who enjoy mountain stream fishing, this Accommodation is an important place to unwind, so even when it’s not for fishing we’d like to make time to visit again and enjoy the wonderful Onsen. This time we stayed in the Room at the very end of the 5th floor, and it was very comfortable with a toilet and air conditioning. We also enjoy hearing the owner’s stories every time—about hunting bears long ago, catching giant char, and gathering large maitake mushrooms. We are truly grateful to the proprietress emeritus, the proprietress, and all staff for their hospitality. We hope to visit again soon. Thank you in advance when we do.

I stayed one night to explore Midagahara. Compared with the Murodo area, there were fewer people, and it was a very calm Hotel. I could enjoy walking around at my own pace, which was great. I also enjoyed the Hotel’s guided walks and stargazing. The meals were delicious, and the one-hour free-flow drinks option was a great value. I would love to visit again.
