This was my first stay, and the hotel is located right on the slopes, making it very convenient for skiing/snowboarding. The meal was part of a reasonable plan, and the steak was delicious—I’m glad I chose this plan. The room had a humidifier and was warm and comfortable. Next time, I’d like to book a multiple night stay.

The house is older than expected, but it has a great atmosphere, almost like a drama filming location. It was a wonderful experience! There are six cats that stay in the garden and don’t come inside the house. Waking up to find cats on the veranda was incredibly soothing! You can also have a BBQ in the garden, and since there’s a roof, it seems fine even if it rains—though maybe not during heavy rain or strong winds. The toilet is Western-style and clean. The bathroom has two showers, so multiple people can use it at once, though the changing area is small. Bath towels are provided, but there were no face towels—it would be nice if they were available! Summer might be tough due to bugs, but mid-March felt just right! The owner was also very friendly and pleasant!

Since I visit Madarao Kogen 2–3 times every year, I always book this Room for a Multiple Night Stay whenever it is available. The Facility is understandably a bit dated, but the Room is thoroughly cleaned, and I truly appreciate how kindly they take care of me even when I arrive late each time.

I stayed at Mihara Kokusai Hotel as a base for a road trip around the Setouchi area and the Chugoku region. From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted by a gentle, nostalgic Showa-era atmosphere that’s simply irresistible. It has a retro, calming charm you won’t find in newer, spotless hotels—and I liked it so much that I’d happily make it my go-to Hotel whenever I visit Mihara. While the building and Facility do show their age in places, everything is meticulously cleaned and clearly well cared for, so there was no discomfort at all. If anything, the nostalgic ambiance softly melts away travel fatigue and makes you feel as relaxed as if you were in your own Room. The unhurried pace and warmth of this place are rare qualities these days. During my stay, I accidentally left some belongings behind—without realizing it myself until the Hotel contacted me. Even though I caused them trouble, their phone support was truly excellent. They showed genuine concern for my situation and guided me quickly and accurately through what to do next. It didn’t feel like a routine procedure; their warm, heartfelt response let me leave everything in their hands with complete peace of mind. I’m sincerely grateful. For those arriving by car: I’ll add a note about parking. On your first visit, the entrance layout and parking spaces might make you think, “This could be a bit tricky.” But once you get used to it, coming and going is smooth and stress-free. You just need to be slightly careful at first—nothing to worry about. Overall, this is an extremely satisfying Hotel where any downside of an older building is more than made up for by outstanding hospitality from the staff and its one-of-a-kind retro appeal. I’ve grown even fonder of this place thanks to its warmth and kindness. The next time I’m driving through this area again, I’ll book here without hesitation. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

We stayed with two families and found the space and layout to be more than sufficient. The single-story design is reassuring for families with small children. We were especially satisfied with the well-equipped amenities, including a washing machine and coffee maker. There were enough towels in the room for everyone, and we appreciated having unlimited access to the Onsen. [To the Facility] Since we visited after playing in the snow nearby, it would be even more convenient if there were hanger racks to dry our wearables and shoe trays to dry shoes indoors. Additionally, there were only large deep plates available; having some smaller ones would be nice. It would also be helpful if you could include a floor plan of the room and a list of amenities on your website so that guests can better prepare their stay.

This accommodation offers exceptionally delicious cuisine. The roasted duck for dinner is particularly exquisite, and even though it was the day before a marathon, I couldn't resist ordering red wine. Breakfast included soft, chewy bread and a milk-rich soup, providing ample energy. Unlimited coffee during both dinner and breakfast was a delightful treat for coffee lovers.

Thank you for your calm and courteous response despite the sudden visit with a same-day reservation. It became a good memory of the trip. I would like to use your service again when I visit Oita. Thank you very much.

Originally, I had planned a different destination, but due to unforeseen circumstances, I made a last-minute change. Dinner... set meals...? At first, I was unsure, but it made sense. The place was filled with people on long-term business trips nearby. No wonder the large public bath was exclusively for men. The amenities were similar to those of an ordinary public bathhouse. The Room showed some age, but considering the price, it was still a great deal. Both the front desk staff and restaurant staff provided excellent service and left me satisfied. I might consider staying here again in the future—if so, I'll bring my own amenities next time!

This time, we used the service for my daughter's university entrance exam. Despite having a reservation for a smoking room, they changed my daughter's room to non-smoking. This was very much appreciated by my daughter, who is not fond of the smell of tobacco. Thanks to this, she was able to sleep soundly and successfully complete her interview the next day. I would definitely like to use it again if the opportunity arises. Thank you very much.

The host was very hospitable and took great care of us. We left our luggage, went out, and when we returned, they kindly sent it to our next accommodation. We are truly grateful for the help. Other rooms were occupied by foreign guests. It was so quiet that we found ourselves being extra cautious not to make noise. I thought there might not be pajamas provided, so I brought my own, but there were one-piece pajamas available. Bringing leggings might be a good idea as well. The bath set included Shiseido products, which made my hair silky smooth. Thank you very much for your hospitality!

I stayed on a weekday in January. Perhaps because there were few guests, it was wonderfully quiet amid the falling snow, and I was able to fully enjoy this Accommodation. Although it is not a Hotel so I did not have high expectations for the Room, I was kindly upgraded and stayed in a very nice Room. Everyone was pleasant and welcoming, and the meals suited us perfectly as a middle-aged couple. The main hall has an amazing atmosphere and is a must-see. Jokoin’s location is also excellent, making our visit to Mount Koya truly satisfying. Thank you very much.

I used it after the live show. The staff at the Stays were really kind and nice. It was extremely close to the venue, and I definitely want to use it again next time. There doesn't seem to be an izakaya nearby, but there are quite a few chain stores open late, which were sufficient for meals and drinks after the live show. I look forward to staying again.

I have stayed here more than 10 times since it opened. I’m happy that the Room has an Onsen. The large public bath is nice too, but being able to soak in my own private Onsen is the best. The meals seem to change over time, perhaps because the chef changes, but this time was the best so far. Breakfast had changed to something like a bento served in a basket. It used to have more items and more dishes, but I can’t eat that much in the morning anyway, so maybe this is what they settled on. This time I was glad to stay at a lower price thanks to the “Kagoshima Discount.” All of the staff are kind, and since there aren’t many Rooms, the whole Hotel feels relaxed and unhurried. Because the building is covered in hinoki wood, the Room has a pleasant fragrance that feels soothing and calming. I will stay again.

Thank you for taking care of us on August 10th and 11th. We arrived by motorcycle and were worried about parking, but you came out as soon as we arrived and kindly let us park in a covered area. We were truly impressed by your thoughtfulness. The food was delicious as well. The bath left our skin feeling smooth, and we were able to relax deeply and enjoy a wonderful time. Red Snow Crab Course: Sashimi, grilled, boiled, tempura, and hot pot—so much food that you'll be completely full. It's amazing how much volume 2.5 crabs provide. Very satisfying. The bath is an Onsen and feels great, though the slight chlorine smell was a bit noticeable. The Room was a spacious 5-person room used by just 2 people. However, being on the first floor meant poor views, and the lack of a refrigerator in the room was slightly disappointing.

The amenities are exceptionally well-equipped, providing everything you could possibly need during your stay. In addition to linens, appliances, and tableware, the refrigerator is stocked with a variety of soft drinks, alcoholic beverages, condiments, fruits, and even rice—truly impressive. There are also plenty of games and toys for indoor and outdoor use as well as leisure equipment for enjoying the nearby beach. You can feel the owner's genuine desire to warmly welcome guests through these thoughtful provisions. After speaking with the owner personally, I was even more charmed by their wonderful personality beyond just the amazing amenities. While meals are not provided, given how fully equipped everything is as mentioned above, it’s easy to shop at a supermarket just a few minutes away by car and cook your own meals. However, I recommend going shopping earlier in the evening since shelves were quite empty before 7 PM. Our stay at this all-inclusive private villa "Villa Ao" made for an absolutely perfect Okinawa experience! My family loved it so much that we’re already planning to stay here again on our next trip to Okinawa!

Over the past few months, I have stayed at several Business Hotels, but this one had the best price, service, parking, and staff. I would like to stay here every month.

The building had a slightly aged feel, but it was well-cleaned and the interior had been renovated. It was very quiet at night, making it comfortable to stay. Additionally, during this season, the area around the pond in front of the property was beautifully adorned with autumn leaves. I would love to visit again if I have the chance.
