Adjacent to Yui Rail “Kencho-mae” Station — “Nurtured by the Ryukyu Islands”

After touring Chatan and Onna Village, we chose to stay here because we had an early flight the next day and wanted somewhere with easy access. On Ikkyu, the reviews weren’t ranked very highly, but the hotel is designed so you don’t feel the bustle of downtown Naha at all. With Yambaru sounds playing throughout, and from our Club Floor room on the 13th floor, we were amazed to see a distant view of the ocean—even though we were still in Naha City. The Club Floor doesn’t offer a huge variety of food, but everything was high quality: excellent seasoning, great cheeses, and a very good selection of alcohol. We were especially impressed that they had Orion Premium beer and even aged awamori (including a 14-year vintage). Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys drinks. Some club floors serve buffet-level amounts of food, but here you can enjoy higher-quality items along with good drinks and snacks during cocktail time—this felt like what a true club lounge should be. (Also, if you eat too much there’s no room left for dinner!) Our room was Japanese-modern with tatami flooring, and it was extremely relaxing. We originally planned to eat out in Naha, but we learned about a great-value guest plan for teppanyaki at Ryuka. We booked on the day, and it was outstanding. The beef and abalone were superb, and the finishing broth made with a siphon was unlike anything we’d tasted before—truly delicious. It felt like a course that would cost twice as much in Tokyo. The flavors and presentation were excellent, and since we plan to visit again, we definitely want to dine there again. Breakfast wasn’t flashy, but each item was seasoned beautifully—it was so good I almost didn’t want more people to find out about it. After dinner we had dessert on the terrace as well; the view there was spectacular and very relaxing. On top of being such a clean, modern hotel, it’s right next to Kencho-mae Station with great access both to Naha Bus Terminal and the airport—perfect for your first or last night in Okinawa. We’ll be back again. Thank you very much.

Natural free-flowing hot spring water, with a history and tranquility dating back to the Edo period.

My daughter, who lives far away, was able to come home during the holiday weekend, so we stayed on 9/20 during Silver Week. We originally had another hotel booked and planned to go grape picking in Fukushima and then head to Morioka, but with the typhoon making the weather uncertain, we kept looking until the last minute for something closer. When a room with a private open-air bath became available, we quickly booked here. Since our family travels everywhere by car, changing our plans gave us extra time. We arrived early and were about to take a walk nearby when the parking staff recommended some spots for us. The footbath was wonderful. The private open-air bath in the room doesn’t have a washing area, but it wasn’t an issue at all—just wash first at the large public bath or in the indoor bath in the room. Dinner and breakfast are buffet-style. When traveling as a family of four, we usually choose buffet hotels, so we really appreciate Itoen Hotel for its reasonable pricing. Some people have various opinions about the food, but if you search under the same conditions (a room with a private open-air bath), most places cost about twice as much or more than Itoen Hotel. If you’re unhappy, you simply need to increase your budget. The Tsukimi fair set dishes and—during Silver Week—the bluefin tuna and roast beef sushi were especially popular. The ramen was also delicious; since this is Fukushima, maybe it had a Kitakata-style soup? Our family was very satisfied. Because of the typhoon we decided to relax at the hotel: soaking in the hot springs many times, eating until we were full, winning prizes in the game corner, and having fun playing table tennis. We had a great time. Since I booked in such a rush, I caused trouble due to my own mistake—I’m sorry about that. Also after checking out and leaving, we realized my daughter’s important item was missing. When we turned back and returned to the hotel, you immediately found it (it was at the shop), which truly helped us so much. Thank you very much for your support. Lastly, I would like to express my gratitude to everyone at this hotel—the person who assisted us by phone regarding my reservation mistake; as well as staff at reception/front desk; parking; restaurant; shop; housekeeping; and all other team members. Thank you very much.
