"Tabiyado Usagi to Kame" is a Property located in Omihachiman City, Shiga Prefecture, renovated from a 50-year-old wooden building into a whole-house rental accommodation. Some of the fittings in the Property were designed by architect William Merrell Vories, and the building features suite-style rooms. From the living room and open-air bath on the first floor, you can enjoy the garden, while the Japanese-style room on the second floor offers views of Mt. Hachiman and the ropeway. We have focused on creating a luxurious space where you can "spend time as if it were your own home," while enjoying the seasonal beauty.
This Property boasts a 400-ton fish preserve and prides itself on serving fresh seafood dishes. From our most popular Japanese-style Room, ranging from 10 to 16 tatami mats, you can enjoy views of the nationally designated Yahiko Mountain and the Sea of Japan stretching from Teradomari Port. On clear days, you can also see Sado Island and stunning sunsets from outside the Property. For dinner, even with our standard Plan, you can indulge in extraordinary dishes such as lobster, premium tuna belly, snow crab, and grilled abalone at a reasonable price. About a 5-minute drive from the Property, you'll find the nationally famous Fish Market Street, perfect for sightseeing, souvenir shopping, food sampling, and even swimming at the nearby beach during summer. If you want to enjoy truly delicious seafood, come visit Teradomari!
