A very nice Hotel. The Facility is slightly old, but it is well-cleaned, and the equipment is user-friendly, making it a very relaxing Hotel.

I came to Kakunodate for the first time to see the weeping cherry blossoms at the samurai residences. Since I prefer to eat dinner out, I stayed at this Hotel with a No Meals Included plan. The Room was clean and I had no complaints about the Facility, but it felt more like a clinic ward than I expected—almost like being hospitalized... I was also a little disappointed that the bed was on the small side. All of the staff were very pleasant, and when I got lost on the way to an izakaya they recommended, they even came with me. The restaurant was wonderful as well. I also enjoyed the free breakfast (rice balls and pork miso soup) the next morning. I would like to stay here again.

Staff warmly welcomed us at the entrance. Check-in and check-out were self-service via machines, but staff assistance made the process smooth. We received six coins for two people to use at the first-floor café during our stay. It was an unexpected and delightful gift. The number of coins required for each item was displayed, making it fun to choose. The public bath was clean and pleasant, especially in the evening when it wasn’t crowded. As mentioned in previous reviews, the shampoo and conditioner were excellent. There is also a refreshment space with a coffee machine available anytime. As a coffee lover, I appreciated having four options like espresso to choose from. However, I thought it would be nice if tea or green tea options were available for those who don’t drink coffee. Dinner came with an in-room dining plan delivered by a robot directly to our room. The meal included a main dish, salad, and sweets—all generous portions with great presentation and delicious taste. The room also had a foldable desk and microwave for added convenience. Despite labor shortages affecting service quality elsewhere recently, this hotel stood out with its attentive staff who offered kind words not only during check-out but even as we exited through the entrance door—making our stay truly pleasant.

During the Obon weekend, when most places were around 20,000 yen, we were able to stay here at a very reasonable price. Because it was inexpensive, we didn’t expect much from the Room or the meals, but the Ryokan has been renovated and the food left us completely full. The coffee in the lounge after breakfast was a delight. The staff were wonderful and even saw us off when we left. It turned into a very satisfying family trip.

I stayed for one night. The tatami mats were clean, and I received a bathing ticket for a nearby Onsen. You make your own futon bed. The door is a sliding door, but it has an auto-lock. I was on a tight budget, but this Accommodation reminded me of old-style Japanese guesthouses and Ryokan, where you felt closer to others.

I stayed for one night. The Room had an ocean view. Despite being November, it was warm thanks to the sunlight. The building might be old, but everything was thoroughly cleaned and felt very comfortable. The drink bar's used glasses were frequently collected, keeping it always clean. During the bath inspection time, the staff worked quickly without being intrusive and even asked about the water temperature, which was very soothing. The water temperature was perfect!

I often stay here when I’m out drinking in Oyama City. It’s very convenient, just a short walk from the station.

In addition to the bedroom, there is a spacious living room, and the amenities are fully stocked. The bath is an Onsen! You can also see Mt. Yufu from the balcony, making this a very satisfying stay.

We stayed as a family, and the room was spacious, stylish, and very clean, just like in the photos. From the second-floor living room, we enjoyed a breathtaking view of Hakuba's expansive scenery, offering an incredible sense of openness. The staff were extremely friendly from check-in and made our stay very pleasant. We stayed for two nights, and on the second day, they replaced our towels and promptly responded to our calls, which was very helpful. Amenities such as insect repellent spray and baby guards were well-prepared, making it safe and convenient for families with children. The recommended restaurants and spots were all fantastic, making this a truly satisfying stay. We would love to visit again!

I made a last-minute Reservation an hour before check-in and stayed for one night. I booked knowing in advance that the building seemed old, but with breakfast included at this price, I was more than satisfied—who could complain? The building is old, and the in-room bathroom and toilet are small; it really feels like an older property. The front desk staff were very polite, there was a welcome drink (one time), parking was 300 yen, and it’s about a 10-minute walk from the station—you can take a shortcut by crossing the nearby bridge. I didn’t expect much, but breakfast was properly done as well. I’d like to stay again if I have the chance.

The Room was clean and had a smart TV, which we enjoyed. The front desk had a bright, welcoming atmosphere as well.

Although the location is a bit hard to find, the Room is spacious, the bed is large, the bathtub is clean, there is a microwave in the Room, the air conditioning is comfortable, an air purifier is provided, and the TV screen is large. Overall, it’s a clean Hotel that feels very satisfying for use as a Business Hotel. I was surprised to be told that they can no longer store luggage after check-out. I would like this to be improved.

There is a nearby shopping street and a Lawson convenience store, which was very convenient. I left something behind, but they carefully packed it and shipped it to me, which was a great help.

This was my first stay, and the dinner was very delicious. The portions were so generous I couldn’t finish everything, and I was very satisfied. The Room was Japanese-style, and I could relax comfortably. I also appreciated that the toilet and bath were separate. Breakfast was buffet-style with a wide variety of options, and it was delicious and very satisfying as well. I enjoyed it so much that I made a Reservation for two weeks later. I’m looking forward to using this place again for a theater outing.

There is a spacious parking area near the Hotel, so you can park with peace of mind. It’s convenient that you don’t have to use distant or paid parking. I used the breakfast buffet, and it was good.

Satisfied with the proximity to the station and the convenience stores around. The children were thrilled with the bunk beds. We were able to spend a relaxing time!

I had been feeling worn out, so I made a same-day Reservation because I wanted to soak in the Onsen. Since it was a weekday, I was able to relax and enjoy the Onsen at a leisurely pace. Even though it was reasonably priced, dinner felt luxurious—there was simmered golden eye snapper, which really impressed me. Everything was delicious, and I felt refreshed. The staff were also kind and helpful. Thank you very much.

The Room was spacious and very clean. Perhaps because the containers are spaced apart, we couldn’t hear any noise from other Rooms at all. The massage chair was greatly appreciated after a long drive, but when using a laptop, we wished there had been a regular chair as well. Possibly due to the location along National Route 16, we felt slight vibrations when large trucks or dump trucks passed by. Since the Room key is a key card, unlocking and locking the door was straightforward.

The single Room is clean and pleasant. The bed is a single, so it feels a bit narrow, but that allows you to use the Room more spaciously. The Onsen is great. There is also an open-air bath where you can relax. You can go to meals in the provided loungewear. The izakaya is inexpensive and has a wide variety of menu items. The musty smell when you get off the elevator is something you may have to put up with. Wi-Fi is provided per Room, so it doesn’t get congested.
