I didn’t have very high expectations until we actually stayed, but we were extremely satisfied traveling with our toddler (1 year and 2 months old). All the necessary baby items were provided, and they even supplied diapers as a complimentary service. Safety guards were properly placed on table corners and other areas, and even things like remote controls were individually sealed in antibacterial film—thoughtful details that made us feel at ease. At first I wondered if the Room might be a bit small, but there was no wasted space. The futon area (raised platform), living space, and the outdoor open-air bath flowed seamlessly together. Because you can see into the Room while bathing, I could relax in the bath while keeping an eye on my sleeping child. The highlight of any trip is the food, and both dinner and breakfast were served in-room. Everything was delicious. Unlike many Ryokan breakfasts that are unnecessarily large and end up getting cold, ours was served warm with delicate flavors—we were truly satisfied. They also prepared child-friendly options such as softly cooked rice and a lightly seasoned clear soup. The meals were not only delicious but also safe for our child, so both parent and child could enjoy them. Our daughter doesn’t eat packaged toddler meals, but we could simply rinse pieces of grilled fish or simmered dishes from the adult meal in hot water before giving them to her—so we really appreciated being able to travel almost empty-handed. We would definitely stay again. I suspect most guests will return too, so it may become harder to get a Reservation. Highly recommended.

We stayed for one night and two days. The Accommodation is along the Kamogawa River and close to Shijo, making it a great location. Check-in was handled by staff and went smoothly. We had a Reservation for a 4th-floor Room with a Kamogawa view; the Room was spacious and very clean. Best of all, the full-height windows let you enjoy an unobstructed view of the river all to yourself. You can even soak in the bath while looking out over the Kamogawa. Coffee and water were provided, and the amenities were well stocked. The showerhead and hair dryer are ReFa, which many women will appreciate. There’s also a drum-type washing machine and a small kitchen, which would be especially convenient for inbound guests staying long term. Inside the building, you can freely access the 2nd-floor lounge and the rooftop. The rooftop has chairs and tables, so you can enjoy the Kamogawa at night while feeling the evening breeze. We ordered shojin-ryori (Buddhist vegetarian cuisine) for breakfast, and it was delicious. It was delivered to our Room by someone who seemed to be from a nearby traditional restaurant or catering shop. The location, Facility, and food were all excellent. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to experience Kyoto in peace and quiet.

I briefly used the spa, and bringing your own dinner is allowed. I thought only beer was all-you-can-drink, but there was also a great selection of other alcohol. Shochu, whisky, and I got hooked on mango liqueur. I had seven glasses of Asahi Super Dry. The spa alternates between men and women by time slot. The indoor bath only had toothbrushes, so you basically have to go to the spa. Breakfast also offers many options with a focus on vegetables; I ate early, then went to the spa right before checkout—an open location with a 360° panoramic view. On a weekday it was almost private. This kind of service is rare, and the value for money is excellent. From Shizuoka Station, it’s about 30 minutes on Shizutetsu Justline (IKYU’s guide says North Exit bus stop No. 11, but it was actually No. 14 in front of Hotel Associa), and the bus stop is close so it’s convenient to use. It works out much cheaper than staying in central Shizuoka City, so I already have plans for next time and will be returning again.

Close to the station, quiet, excellent facilities (separate bathtub, WC, and washbasin), great bath, and delicious breakfast.

When we arrived, the parking lot was full and we were a bit unsure at first, but thanks to the Hotel staff’s help, we were able to park without any issues. The Room wasn’t very large, but it had everything we needed and was comfortable. I also liked being able to watch YouTube on the TV. Since breakfast was free, I didn’t expect much, but the rice and miso soup were so delicious that I was genuinely impressed! There was also a great variety of warm egg dishes, fish, and vegetable side dishes, so we really enjoyed a satisfying breakfast. They also offered a service that let us take coffee back to our Room, which made it easy to relax. There are many restaurants nearby, so finding dinner wasn’t a problem. It was also nice to enjoy an authentic Hokkaido-style evening at a nearby izakaya. It was a cozy Hotel that made me want to stay again.

The Room was clean and well-maintained, and the staff were always seen cleaning. When the dryer stopped working, they responded promptly, allowing us to enjoy a comfortable stay! The morning bread and drink service was great; the bread was packed in a bag, so we could enjoy it with our family at the beach! We would love to stay here again next time!

It was very comfortable, and the meals were delicious. The front desk staff were also very kind. There was an Onsen nearby, and we received free admission tickets. Thank you very much.

Both the exterior and interior were clean and well maintained. We didn’t use the kitchen, but we appreciated the amenities, such as being able to enjoy Dolce coffee.

Thank you very much for your hospitality. At night, the typhoon brought intense wind and rain, and the river was flowing so fast that it was quite nerve-racking. Still, the food was delicious and the service was excellent, so we were very satisfied. The next day, there were landslides all around and many roads were closed! It turned into a valuable experience, including the episode of worrying about how we would get home.

This was our first stay, and we visited with our dog for one night as a group of four. The building is new and very clean, with a well-equipped full kitchen and a spacious layout including the living area, making for a wonderful stay. The non-slip flooring with underfloor heating gave us great peace of mind when traveling with our dog, and we felt the Facility was thoughtfully designed from a dog owner’s perspective. From the parking area through the entrance to the front door, there is an approximately 330 m² lawn dog run in the garden—an incredibly open and freeing space for dogs. Our dog happily ran around while getting some much-needed exercise. It’s also at a convenient distance from central Karuizawa, and Tsuruya Supermarket is less than 10 minutes away by car, which was very handy. One request: behind the outdoor AC unit on the right side of the entrance is a deck space that connects directly to the bathroom (as shown in the photo), but there is a small gap underneath the deck. Our small dog managed to slip through and nearly got out, so we would appreciate it if this could be modified so pets cannot get through. Because it’s located at a higher elevation as well, it was an excellent place to escape Tokyo’s extreme summer heat—we would love to stay again!

It was my first time staying at an APA Hotel in a while. The mattress used to feel too soft for me, but maybe it has changed—this time it was pleasantly firm and comfortable. The view from the window wasn’t great, so I didn’t open it and felt a bit closed in, but for a solo stay just to sleep, I think it’s comfortable. There were plenty of amenities, and there were APA-related books in the room. Even the amenity bag had an inspiring message from the president—so very “APA!” It made me smile.

I had not made a reservation in advance, but it would have been better if there were more available units. Additionally, I would have appreciated guidance on the nearest parking lot. Other than that, I was satisfied.

I stayed for one night. It is a family-run accommodation with a warm and cozy atmosphere. The room was 4.5 tatami mats in size, which was sufficient for a solo traveler. The bathroom was well-equipped with amenities, including an exfoliating towel, which was a thoughtful touch. It’s a relaxing and comfortable place that I highly recommend.

Conveniently located near the station, and I truly appreciated how courteous and attentive the front desk staff were. For this price, the breakfast buffet was also very satisfying, making for an enjoyable stay.

The location is close to the station, so I initially thought the lack of parking might be a downside. However, there are several parking lots nearby, which was very convenient. I stayed in a smoking Room, but it was very clean with minimal odor. I would love to stay again. Thank you!

I stayed here to watch the Japan Cup, a road race held annually at the forest park about a 7-8 minute walk from the hotel. The hotel seems primarily for guests of the adjacent golf course, and although I expected it to be crowded the day before, it was relatively empty. The facility is old and not particularly clean, but it has a nostalgic charm with its retro Showa-era atmosphere. The room was Japanese-style with futons that you lay out yourself. The large public bath is located in the basement and was comfortable as it wasn’t crowded. However, there’s no elevator, so it might be challenging for elderly guests or those with mobility issues. Check-in is until 8 PM, so I bought dinner near Utsunomiya Station before heading over. While I wanted to enjoy some local delicacies in Utsunomiya, proximity to the event took priority for me and wasn’t an issue. After check-out, I could use the parking lot for an additional fee during my time at Japan Cup viewing—this allowed me to leave smoothly without encountering traffic restrictions on my way home by car afterward. I would consider staying here again when attending future events!

We booked two rooms, a Single and a Twin, for our family. The rooms were arranged on the same floor and close to each other. Thank you for accommodating us. The parking lot is free, spacious, and easy to park in, which was very convenient. Amenities such as toothbrushes and combs are self-service at the front desk during check-in. The staff kindly informed us about this. However, items like lotion are not provided. The room was slightly spacious. In the bathroom, there were some black marks on the wall—possibly mold or peeling paint—which caught my attention. Other than that, despite some signs of age in the facilities, we had a comfortable stay. It was No Meals Included for our stay; however, we enjoyed dinner at a nearby diner within walking distance and were satisfied with it. There isn’t a convenience store very close by, so I recommend preparing breakfast before checking in if needed. Unfortunately, we couldn’t see Mt. Fuji due to bad weather—what a pity! We look forward to staying here again in the future. Thank you for your hospitality!

Although the building is old, parking is free if spaces are available. It’s close to Saga Plaza, the large public bath is very relaxing, the futon was unexpectedly fluffy, and the heating and air conditioning were excellent. I’d like to stay again.

We stayed as a family of three, and the affordable price was a great help. The bath was clean, the hot spring water quality was excellent, and we were very satisfied.

The room was very clean! I used this accommodation for skiing. It had everything I needed. It felt very affordable, so I will stay again!
