Over the New Year holiday, my parents-in-law and we as a couple traveled all the way to Okinawa and stayed for 2 nights as a group of four. The check-in and check-out terminal操作 was smooth. During our stay, we were able to relax and enjoy quality family time. We bought ingredients at a supermarket and cooked in the Room kitchen, and there were more than enough cooking utensils and tableware—nothing to complain about. My parents-in-law were also very happy, so I’m glad we chose this place to stay. We’d love to stay here again when we have the chance.

I stayed here with a friend for sightseeing. As it’s a new Hotel, everything was clean and the Room was spotless. Many of the staff are foreigners, but their Japanese was fine, so we had no trouble. Amenities are available near the front desk for guests to pick up, and drinks such as tea bags are provided in the first-floor dining area to take as needed. The price feels geared toward inbound travelers, but that’s common for Hotels in Tokyo these days, so it can’t really be helped. We had a comfortable stay. Thank you very much.

I stayed in a private Room with an ocean view. The Room was spacious, and the entire building is clean and well maintained. There is a bath with a bathtub, separated for men and women. There are washing machines (I think there were three) and one dryer. Detergent is free. There are also plenty of items for drying clothes in your Room. Amenities are well stocked. The Room has a microwave, refrigerator, and tableware. I stayed at several Accommodations on Tanegashima, but this was the most comfortable one. Check-in and check-out are done via tablet, so you generally won’t meet any staff in person. You will receive a link in advance to register as a guest; once registered, you’ll be sent the entrance door PIN code. If you can’t receive SMS messages or haven’t received an email, please contact the Accommodation to confirm the guest registration website. I would like to stay here again when I visit Tanegashima. We chose this place because we wanted to take our kids to the beach and enjoy a BBQ. We don’t have a car, so we look for places we can reach by train. It was great that we could get there with a train transfer and then just a 6-minute walk from the bus stop. As soon as we stepped through the entrance, the spacious, beautiful garden lifted our spirits too! The Room was very stylish, with a comfortable sofa where we could truly relax. The tiled floor felt great underfoot, and with glass doors across one side, it was wonderful to look out over the garden. We don’t have a dog, but there were no odors or pet hair at all—nothing bothered us. Maybe because we had kids with us, there were thoughtful touches like origami paper, colored pencils, and games (including “Nanja Monja”), and we enjoyed them all. It’s also close to the beach, and there’s a convenience store nearby—very convenient overall. The seafood restaurant was crowded so we gave up this time, but we’d love to try again next time. They also sell shaved ice at reception—we had mango and matcha. They said it’s made with homemade syrup, and it was delicious! The waves were a bit high since it was right before a typhoon, but our kids loved it—playing in the waves and on the sand. They also played card games in the garden, relaxed on the small hammock swinging back and forth, and even found frogs and grasshoppers—so they kept asking over and over: “When are we coming again?”

This was my first stay. Starting with the welcome drink service, the Onsen had silky-smooth water, and I appreciated being able to choose pajamas and a pillow. Breakfast was also delicious. Everything was excellent. I felt refreshed and was very satisfied. Thank you very much.

Perfect for arriving in Ishigaki at night and departing the next morning! The ferry terminal is right in front, and there are plenty of nearby restaurants open late. Our older kids were thrilled—excited by how clean and spacious the Room was, and by the atmosphere of the town. We’d definitely love to stay again!! Thank you so much.

The atmosphere was wonderful, and we truly felt the owners’ hospitality. We really enjoyed talking with them. The scent of wood in the dining room was soothing, and the Room was more than sufficient for us. Shirakoma Pond was a bit far from here, but we’re glad we chose this Accommodation.

Yuntaku chats, group meals, and morning radio exercises—we had a wonderful time. Thank you for the Shuttle Service as well. The laundry facilities and the area to rinse and dry diving gear were very helpful. We would love to stay with you again. Thank you to the owner couple.

My wife and I stayed here together. For the past five years or so, we’ve been traveling out of the prefecture about once every month or two. We’re not the type to spend a lot on where we stay. New chain Hotels aren’t bad, but sometimes the cleaning isn’t thorough or the service feels a bit careless. This time, I thought it might be nice to stay at a slightly older Hotel, so we chose Business Hotel Katsuya. The Room (Japanese-style with a unit bath) and the shared bathhouse are a bit dated, but they are very well maintained, so we had a comfortable stay. The staff were courteous, and breakfast was delicious Japanese food (rice, salted grilled salmon, ham and salad, pickles, seasoned nori seaweed, egg tofu, small side dish with vinegar dressing, and miso soup). Coffee was also included as self-service, which we appreciated. Thanks to that, we were able to start the next morning feeling refreshed and enjoy sightseeing all day. I’d like to stay here again when traveling to Wakayama.

A wonderful place with a full resort feel and an ideal scale. I’m excited about the planned redevelopment—this one-of-a-kind Hotel is where I stay every year.

I stayed here on a surf trip to Miyazaki. The owner was very kind, the location was great, and the amenities and rental items were really helpful. I’d love to stay here again!

Good Points - Spacious public bath with sauna available - Staff provides polite and attentive service - Large collection of manga (One Piece and Yowamushi Pedal were enjoyable) - Relaxation space available for everyone to gather - Laundry facilities included Concerns - Location is hard to find (there is a sign along the road, but it’s in hiragana, while the hotel’s front sign is in English, which caused me to pass by once) - The room was clean but had a distinctive smell that was slightly bothersome - Convenience store is a bit far It seems like this hotel might have been renovated from a long-term stay rehabilitation facility. For Multiple Night Stays or repeat visits, it could be a good option.

This was my first time staying here while looking for a nearby Hotel to go out for meals. I asked many questions about dolphin watching and good restaurants, and the staff kindly helped me. Thanks to them, I was able to make a Reservation for the next day and enjoy dolphin watching comfortably. Thank you very much. The Room was also very spacious and comfortable, and I would like to stay here again when I visit Amakusa next time. I didn’t think breakfast was available, but they mentioned it at check-in, and I enjoyed a very delicious breakfast. It made traveling afterward much smoother, which I really appreciated. I will definitely stay again! Thank you very much.

The Room was incredibly spacious and very comfortable. Since the building isn’t large, it’s easy to get around anywhere. The 24-hour all-you-can-eat and drink corner was especially great. For dinner, it would have been helpful to have scissors at the table so we could cut the grilled dancing abalone before eating. The all-you-can-eat salmon roe was a nice bonus. Overall, this Accommodation was highly satisfying!

These days, it’s rare to find an Accommodation without foreign staff, and the meals here are very carefully prepared using local ingredients. There are many baths, and they will even let you reserve a large open-air bath that was apparently once used as a mixed-gender bath. It’s an excellent open-air bath and highly recommended. There is also an open-air bath a short walk from the Accommodation, but I was told it can only be used during daylight hours because bears have been seen in the area. The building has the feel of an old Ryokan and shows some wear in places, but it is kept clean and well maintained. The resident cat has changed over time; when I asked the proprietress, she brought her out on a leash. Perhaps because she is well loved, she likes people and will purr even when meeting you for the first time.

I headed there by motorcycle this time, but it unexpectedly broke down and I couldn’t make it… If I get another chance, I’d like to stay there. If I had to mention one thing, the staff weren’t rude or careless, but when I was arranging the cancellation around 8:00 PM, the person I spoke with used fairly broken Japanese. It would be helpful if that could be improved.

The breakfast was delicious. I was able to relax in the natural Onsen. I was soothed by the LOVOT robot strolling around the front.

Three family members in our 70s stayed in a Japanese-Western style Room. It’s a Showa-era building, but the Room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. We could also see a beautiful sunrise from the Room. The location was great, and we took an early-morning walk to Amanohashidate. For dinner, we chose the chef’s omakase Amanohashidate kaiseki course served in our Room, but it was far too much for us in our 70s and we felt sorry for leaving some of it. In hindsight, we should have asked about the menu before choosing the course. The bath had one tub and I recall there were seven or eight faucets and showers. It’s on the small side. It seemed that the men’s bath on the day we stayed was even smaller. The front desk staff answered our questions in a friendly manner. Overall, I think it offers very good value for money.

It was an Accommodation that was ten times better than I expected. First, the front desk staff were very courteous. The Room was fine overall; I have no complaints except that I would have liked a few more power outlets. In any case, the large public bath was extremely clean and wonderful. I’d like to stay again.
