This Accommodation sits at the highest point of Arifuku Onsen in Gotsu City, Shimane Prefecture. I stayed here eight years ago and returned this time. It used to be a historic, retro inn, but after the renovation it has been transformed into a wonderful Onsen Accommodation that beautifully blends tasteful interiors with a nostalgic atmosphere. Dinner was a full-course meal at a nearby Italian restaurant included in the Plan. Despite being stylish, they also provided chopsticks, and every dish was carefully prepared with delicate seasoning—everything was truly delicious. Breakfast was also very good, though I would have liked one more side dish (such as dried fish). The Onsen water has a silky, slightly slippery feel—perhaps that’s why it’s known as “beautifying” water. I’ve visited many hot spring areas, but this texture is quite rare. There is also a glass window in the dining room floor where you can see the source spring. On Saturday nights, it seems you can watch Iwami Kagura at the nearby Kagura hall just steps from the Accommodation. Unfortunately, my stay wasn’t on a Saturday so I couldn’t see it, but next time I’d like to make my Reservation for a Saturday.

I made a reservation to celebrate my husband's birthday. It happened to be the day of the fireworks festival. The spacious area was comfortable, and we created unforgettable memories with our family. This is a place we would love to visit again as a family. Thank you for providing us with such a wonderful experience.

The autumn leaves every year are unfortunately accompanied by bad weather, but this is my first time at the holiday village. The bath, room, and meals were excellent with no complaints. The buffet selection was great, and the delicious food, post-bath coffee, and ice cream were also enjoyable. It would have been even better with good weather to enjoy Mount Bandai together, but I was still satisfied.

A budget-friendly and welcoming accommodation opened by a former hotel staff member from Tokyo in their hometown of Ishigaki Island. The room linens and furnishings are very clean, ensuring a comfortable sleep. The shared spaces, including the dining area, kitchen, and refrigerator, are thoughtfully maintained. Conveniently located near bus stops for the airport route bus, such as the Remote Island Terminal and Museum-mae. Perfect for island hopping with easy access to a drugstore and FamilyMart within walking distance. Close to Misaki-cho, where you can enjoy morning or evening strolls, meals, or relaxing "yuntaku" time while fully experiencing the unique atmosphere and scenery of Ishigaki Island as the gateway to the Yaeyama Islands. Many guests are locals or seasoned travelers with good manners, making it reassuring even for first-time visitors. It was such a valuable experience that I look forward to staying again soon. The entire Facility was spotless. The staff were very kind, and dinner was delicious with plenty of volume, including meat and seafood. Breakfast also exceeded our expectations, with lots of tasty bread. The in-Room coffee was authentic and freshly ground from beans, and cups and glasses were provided. The refrigerator had complimentary mineral water—two bottles per person. What impressed me most was that bathing amenities (towels, face masks, a brush, razor, body towel, slippers, etc.) were thoughtfully prepared to match each guest’s gender and age. I don’t think you often find a glamping Facility this well equipped. It also felt reassuring that staff seemed to patrol until quite late at night. If I had to mention one drawback: the toilets on the glamping side were unisex, and the door lock was a bit hard to secure. My husband had no issues at all, but I used the toilets in the separate Facility a short walk away. Still, there were play areas like wooden swings and a trampoline, and we could enjoy stargazing by the bonfire next to our Room. The kids loved it so much they said they want to come back—overall we were extremely satisfied! It’s a wonderful Facility where you can really feel the staff’s thoughtful attention. Our whole family had a great experience. Thank you very much.

I’ve stayed here several times. The property has both a jacuzzi and a sauna, which is perfect for us bath lovers—plenty of chances to work up a sweat. At the same time, there’s cold beer waiting in the fridge, ready to quench your thirst. The BBQ spread is also generous: beef, pork, sausages, shellfish, shrimp, vegetables—everything disappears quickly along with the beer. In early summer on Awaji Island there are lots of fresh vegetables like onions and sweet potatoes, so we were able to enjoy plenty of freshly grilled produce. We left Awaji Island the next day wishing we could live like this every day—and it’s also a big plus that it’s close enough to get home in just an hour.

It’s a Showa-era retro Accommodation, but it was well cleaned and we had a comfortable stay. The meals were simply too lavish!! For dinner shabu-shabu, I was surprised that the amount of meat you’d normally get for about three people at a typical Accommodation was served as a single portion. The seafood was also fresh and very delicious. The meal is very filling, so I recommend arriving with an empty stomach. We were told we could take the dessert fruit back to our Room if we couldn’t finish it, so we enjoyed it after our bath. Breakfast included freshly cooked rice from a traditional kamado stove and plenty of side dishes. Everything was delicious. The after-meal coffee was also appreciated. We also used the rock bath, which had a great atmosphere. Since it was a relatively warm day, it wasn’t uncomfortably cold, which was nice. All the staff were very kind, and I thought the service was excellent. We made wonderful travel memories. Thank you very much.

Five middle-aged men stayed here together. The building itself has a historic feel, but the interior is well maintained and clean, so it didn’t feel particularly old. Both dinner and breakfast were satisfying in both quantity and quality, with a great balance for enjoying drinks as well. The white rice cooked over firewood at the end of the meal was especially delicious. We’d love to return next time with our family.

Twice a year, the four of us travel together. This time, Tomuraushi Higashi Taisetsuso was a truly hidden hot spring inn—we loved it. The Onsen was excellent. The meals were so generous that there was almost too much for us seniors. On our next trip, two of us will be turning 80. We hope we can keep traveling for as long as possible. Thank you for giving us such wonderful memories.

I stayed for three nights. The front desk staff were wonderful—perfect service. The twin Room was more spacious than expected, and the beds were very comfortable. Breakfast is free and far better than I imagined. Drinks include coffee, sanpin tea, and free soda, and from 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM there are even seven types of awamori available with unlimited refills. Bicycles can be rented free for five hours. If you choose not to have your Room cleaned or towels replaced, you receive a ticket that can be exchanged for souvenirs next to the front desk or Points. It’s about a 7–8 minute walk from the Hotel to the 730 Intersection (the center of the downtown area), so the location is excellent. I will definitely stay at Hotel Patina Ishigakijima again, and I highly recommend it to anyone considering a stay.

I love Yuya Onsen and visit a few times a year, and this time I stayed at Ryokan Hisago. It’s a long-established Ryokan built along the river, and it seems the Rooms have been renovated, so I was really looking forward to it. From check-in, we received a warm welcome and were shown to our Room—and it was exactly as I had hoped! It was clean with a comfortable layout, and the size was more than sufficient. When you open the window, you can hear the murmur of the river and the calls of wildlife, which is incredibly soothing. The meals were very well seasoned, and freshly prepared dishes were brought out one after another, making everything even more enjoyable. The bath temperature was slightly on the lukewarm side, so you can relax while looking out at the river. If available, you can use the private open-air bath freely, so I was able to enjoy it in the evening, at night, and in the morning as well. It was also great that it could be used throughout the night. This is an Accommodation I’d love to visit again.

I stayed here because I wanted to relax in Kurokawa Onsen. The Accommodation had a calm atmosphere and was very comfortable, so I was able to spend a peaceful time even on my own. The Onsen temperature was just right, and it truly soothed my travel fatigue. The Asuka hot pot I had for dinner was especially memorable. The gently flavored soup, like white miso, was absolutely delicious, and I enjoyed it all the way to the end without getting tired of it. Every dish made with local ingredients was also wonderful, and both my heart and stomach were completely satisfied. All of the staff were warm and welcoming, and I felt comfortable throughout my stay. Thanks to them, I felt refreshed both physically and mentally, making it a memorable solo trip. I would love to come back in a different season. Thank you very much.

I was looking for a room with an open-air bath through online reservations, and among the many options I reviewed, this accommodation stood out as particularly appealing. This was my first time using your service. The online reservation process was smooth. Although the front desk was closed on the day of my stay due to it being a holiday for the ryokan, prior email communication allowed me to inquire and receive polite responses. While I felt that quicker response times would have been even better, I truly appreciated the courteous support. Upon arrival at the accommodation, it exceeded my expectations based on the images I had seen. The room had already been pre-cooled with air conditioning to ensure comfort upon entry. The ambiance of the room was excellent, and attention to detail in its design stood out. The bathroom featured both a regular shower and a ceiling shower, while amenities like shampoo had pleasant fragrances. The provided loungewear for relaxing in-room had a nice texture against the skin. However, I found that using the sink area together with another person felt slightly cramped, and similarly, the toilet space felt a bit tight. The raised tatami area in our guestroom was superbly crafted. If I visit this area again or have friends looking for recommendations, I will definitely suggest this place—and would love to stay here myself once more. Thank you very much for today. This was, without a doubt, the best glamping Accommodation we have ever stayed at. First, the Room was very spacious, spotless in every corner, and extremely comfortable. What impressed me most was the bath. The jacuzzi bath was amazing, and amenities like ReFa shampoo and a hair dryer were provided as well—I could really feel the attention to detail. We were also completely satisfied with the meals. There was an incredible amount of food—meat, rice, rainbow trout, vegetables, and more—and it was the most generous portion size we’ve ever had at any BBQ facility. I’m honestly disappointed that we could only finish about half of the meat and rice because there was just so much. It truly felt luxurious and exceeded our expectations. Outside the Room there was a hammock that was wonderfully relaxing. Also, the barrel sauna—my first time trying one—was available 24 hours a day. Going back and forth between the sauna, the jacuzzi bath in our Room, and the hammock allowed us to enjoy an incredibly indulgent time. Within the Facility there were many activities for both adults and children—hands-on athletic courses like zip lines, a fishing pond, vegetable harvesting experiences, and more. It was so fulfilling that we didn’t have enough time to do everything. At the premium lounge, we could freely enjoy alcohol, soft drinks, snacks, and more—which made us very happy. Breakfast was excellent as well. Not only was everything delicious; even the tableware—including bowls—was beautiful and showed great care in every detail. It was my first time enjoying a breakfast where even the dishes themselves were part of what made it special. Above all else, what moved me most was how wonderful all of your staff were. In particular one female staff member greeted us with a smile throughout our stay and kindly answered all of our questions. Also when we accidentally booked/mistook our Room due to our own Reservation mistake (and ended up with another Room), you kindly changed it for us without hesitation—we are truly grateful. The Room(s), meals/food/dining experience , Onsen & sauna , activities , lounge , staff hospitality —everything about this place is outstanding . This is an Accommodation that genuinely made us think: “We will definitely come again.” It’s a bit far from Tokyo or other parts of Kanto; however it’s absolutely worth traveling specifically to visit . I would highly recommend it not only to travelers from Tohoku but also those coming from Kanto Kansai Kyushu—and even from overseas . The cost performance/value for money is truly exceptional ; this is easily one of those places where you can sincerely say “I’m so glad we came.” We will definitely return . Thank you very much .

We stayed here on a family trip. The Room was very clean, spacious, and relaxing. The bed was also wide enough. The bathroom and toilet were separate, and the bath had a washing area, so bathing was very comfortable. The in-room refrigerator was large, and it was great that the freezer and refrigerator were separate. There was also a microwave, plus a table with three chairs, which made it easy to spend time comfortably. For breakfast, you could choose one of three main sandwiches, and the other items were served buffet-style. There wasn’t a huge variety, but everything was delicious. Next time our family stays in Osaka, we would definitely like to make another Reservation.

Upon arrival, the host kindly took photos of us with a beautiful view in the background. The Room is filled with carefully chosen interior pieces, and you can really feel the warmth of wood. His explanations and conversation were so enjoyable, and we found everything fascinating. The amenities in the Room are thoughtfully provided with no waste, and you can truly feel the attention to detail. From the windows on the 1st floor, 2nd floor, and even the bathroom, the metasequoia-lined avenue is right in front of you. I was looking forward to a morning walk. Dinner at night— compared to meals at typical travel Accommodations— felt like a standard menu at first..., but I expected that “standard” would come with real care and confidence. And it did. The burdock appetizer was amazing, just as mentioned in Reviews. The tartar sauce on the fried shrimp was also excellent. The simmered hamburger steak was incredibly tender as well. They even shared the secret behind the salad dressing. It makes perfect sense that he used to run a popular Western-style restaurant in Osaka (which he calls a “diner”). We had such fun chatting that it never ended—happy. On your morning walk, you can have the empty metasequoia-lined avenue all to yourself. It’s become a place I definitely want to visit again.

Everything—from the meals, baths, and Room to the staff’s hospitality—was absolutely satisfying. Both breakfast and dinner were beautifully presented and truly delicious. In addition to what was served at the table for dinner, a separate table was set up with obanzai (Kyoto-style small dishes). Everything I tried was delicious. The broccoli salad, marinated tomatoes, and pickled quail eggs in particular were so good I wanted to try every single dish. Breakfast offered both Japanese- and Western-style options, which I really enjoyed. The baths and Room—and in fact the entire Ryokan—were spotless and very clean. Thoughtful touches were everywhere: trays for jewelry in the bathroom and at the sink in the Room, as well as a warm note about what to do if insects appear along with insect spray provided. It made me feel genuinely happy. And at this price point—I’m truly grateful. I don’t usually want to return to the same Accommodation, but this is a wonderful place that makes me want to come back.

It had a calm atmosphere, and I was able to relax and take my time.\nThey also kindly guided me on how to get to Amanoiwato Shrine and provided information about the Yokagura night performance at Takachiho Shrine, which was very helpful.\nThey even provided a Shuttle Service to the night performance and lent me a seat cushion.\nThe meals were delicious—I ended up having seconds and was completely full (laugh).\nThe bath was spacious and relaxing, and it soothed my tired body.\nOne point off: after checkout I realized I had left something behind and called, but I never received a return call, which was disappointing.

The navigation system led us to the wrong place, causing a 30-minute delay in arrival. Using your mobile phone for directions is more reliable than relying on a car navigation system. This charming boutique Hotel has a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. Above all, the meals were delicious. The full-course meat and fish dishes were truly exceptional. The couple running the Hotel provided excellent hospitality and even saw us off to the road personally.

Stayed here after a golf day to visit Toshogu Shrine the next day. The building itself is old, but it has all the essentials. Dinner was abundant with a variety of dishes, so much that I couldn't finish it all. Everything was incredibly delicious. The best part is its proximity to Toshogu Shrine, which is the biggest highlight. Additionally, the staff and what seemed to be the hostess were very friendly, making for an enjoyable stay. If I have another chance to visit, I would love to stay here again. Thank you!
