When I first traveled to Hokkaido, I encountered people living simply and generously amidst the vast nature. Experiencing a world completely different from the hustle and bustle of the city where I grew up, I was struck by culture shock and began to dream of one day living leisurely in a land rich in nature. My first encounter with Azumino was when I traveled to Kamikochi and Norikura and happened to stay at a vacant Property. Since then, it has become a place where I feel at ease without reason, a place I visit whenever I have time, doing nothing but relaxing and idling away... Around that time, I read in a book about people living in the forested areas of Canada, cutting trees and building cabins with them, known as log houses. With a passion for authentic Canadian log houses, a love for wood, a dedication to Azumino, and a belief in how people should live to be true to themselves, I continue to move forward at my own pace with these thoughts in my heart.
