    The proprietress of Tsubaki Accommodation will demonstrate how to prepare Japanese dishes—such as making dashi and sushi rice—and you will also make them yourself. Once finished, you can relax and enjoy your meal in the Accommodation’s living room. This experience will deepen your understanding of Japanese cuisine and can be enjoyed as a meal—create delicious memories.
    We offer the menu options below, but the details will be Done after consultation with you. Duration and price vary by menu.

    1) Nigiri sushi: approx. 90 min / dinner / 10,000 yen per person
    2) Sukiyaki: approx. 60 min / dinner / 10,000 yen per person

    Nara is home to many cultural treasures nurtured by 1,300 years of history, including shrines, temples, and Buddhist statues. As there is so much to see, we offer guided tours. You may choose a course to suit your preferences, with half-day and full-day options available.
    Enjoy Japanese culture and the culture of Nara, and create lasting memories in a different culture.

    7) Half-Day Course
    Choose from Todai-ji Temple, Kofuku-ji Temple, Kasuga Taisha Shrine, Gango-ji Temple, Heijo Palace Site, Yakushi-ji Temple, or Toshodai-ji Temple. Approx. 3 hours. 1,000 yen per person

    8) Full-Day Course
    Choose from the UNESCO World Heritage sites listed above. Approx. 5 hours. 2,000 yen per person

    The proprietress of Tsubaki no Accommodation offers a guided trail tour through the Kasugayama Primeval Forest in Nara, a UNESCO-listed World Heritage natural site.

    In Nara, there are protected mountains that have remained untouched for 1,300 years. We offer guided trail tours through these World Heritage mountains. Along the route, you can also see ancient heritage sites such as stone Buddhas and cliff-carved Buddhas. Routes range from more challenging hikes to gentler walks with a short climb; we will consult with you and finalize the route (Done).

    As there is so much to see, we will guide you as your sightseeing guide. You may choose a half-day or full-day course according to your preference.

    ⑨ Kasuga Okuyama Primeval Forest Trail Course
    A trekking course through the Kasuga Okuyama Primeval Forest, visiting stone Buddhas and the Kasugayama rock cave Buddhas, then touring the summit of Mt. Wakakusa. Approx. 6 hours. 3,000 yen per person

There are no age restrictions for staying. We do not provide a baby cot; however, we believe our Japanese-style futon bedding on tatami mats is safe. Please note that there is no baby safety gate on the stairs. The bathtub is relatively large, so for safety, please ensure that small children do not use it alone. In the living room, we provide two safe high chairs with safety belts for infants and toddlers.

About Hygiene Measures
As part of our infection prevention measures, alcohol hand sanitizer spray is provided at the entrance and in the washroom. In addition, the faucets in the washroom and toilet are touchless automatic taps. A hand dryer is also available. Before welcoming each guest, we thoroughly disinfect all areas. The bathwater in the bathtub is replaced with fresh water every day and is not recirculated for heating, helping prevent bacterial growth. Negative ion generators are installed throughout to help suppress the growth of mold and bacteria.

4 minutes on foot from Kintetsu Nara Station / 8 minutes on foot from JR Nara Station
Depending on how you search on Google Maps, you may be guided to the wrong route. Please search for “Tsubaki no Yado South Gate (Main Gate)” rather than “Tsubaki no Yado” when coming to our Accommodation. The white gate next to the three Jizo statues is the entrance to Tsubaki no Yado.
