Hot spring quality: Sodium bicarbonate/chloride Onsen (pH 7.7, mildly alkaline)

Benefits: rheumatism, neuralgia, joint pain, sensitivity to cold, gout, chronic skin conditions It contains an impressive approx. 60% baking soda! “Baking soda reacts with sebum to produce soap and glycerin. It is a main ingredient in many commercially available bath additives.” It also contains a moderate amount of sodium to help warm you up from the inside out.
