We want you to enjoy a trip where you can travel and spend time together with your pets as cherished members of the family. Not only dogs, but also cats and small animals are welcome. To ensure a comfortable stay for everyone, we offer pet-first Facility such as a shower-equipped paw-washing area—perfect after lots of outdoor play—as well as non-slip flooring and stairs.
At Ocean View Kitakami River Terrace Shichikenkura, we also offer breakfast for dogs. Let your dog enjoy a little taste of luxury that’s unique to traveling. Spend a refreshing morning together while taking in the ocean view. <Choose your favorite from 3 breakfast options> - Meatballs - Gratin - Pot-au-feu JPY 1,000 each (120 g) *Dog breakfast will be confirmed at check-in (Local Payment). *Meals for cats and small animals must be brought by guests.
The on-site natural grass dog run is exclusively for guests staying at the Accommodation. It is divided into areas for small dogs and for medium-to-large dogs, so you can enjoy it without worrying about size differences. While trips often revolve around walks, let your dog refresh in a place where they can run freely. It may also help dogs naturally get closer to each other, sometimes leading to friendly interactions. Whether your dog loves to run or prefers to relax while watching others, please enjoy at their own pace.
To ensure everyone can use the dog run safely and comfortably, we have established entry restrictions, rules, and prohibited activities. For details, please check our official website and be sure to review the information before use. *For safety reasons, we may refuse use if the rules are not followed.
Guests traveling with pets will be asked to complete a consent form at check-in. As it includes the rules for staying with pets, please be sure to review the “Pet Stay Terms and Conditions” and the “Guest-Only Dog Run Terms of Use” (both PDF) on our official website before making a Reservation and before your arrival. At check-in, we will confirm whether your pet has received a rabies vaccination and a combination vaccine, as well as the vaccination dates. Please bring documentation showing the vaccination dates (a certificate; copies or photos are acceptable). If you cannot provide this, we may refuse Accommodation. Thank you for your understanding. If you print and sign the consent form in advance and bring it with you, check-in procedures will be smoother. [Request Regarding Diapers/Belly Bands] Even if your pet is usually fine, some may become excited or mark in an unfamiliar environment. As our Accommodation is a wooden building, we kindly ask that you bring and use pet diapers/belly bands whenever possible.
[Vaccinations] To stay at our Accommodation, your pet must have received a rabies vaccination and a combination vaccine for viral infectious diseases within the past year. To confirm vaccination status and dates, please present the following documents (copies or photos accepted) at check-in. <For dogs> 1. Rabies Vaccination Certificate (or the Receipt for the issuance fee of the rabies vaccination tag) *The rabies vaccination tag itself cannot be used as proof.* 2. Combination vaccine certificate (5-way or more) (or an antibody test result certificate) <For cats> 1. Combination vaccine certificate (3-way or more) (or an antibody test result certificate) *For puppies and kittens, please ensure they have received the required number of combination vaccinations. If we cannot confirm this, we may refuse your stay.* If you are unable to vaccinate due to special circumstances, please present a deferral certificate/medical statement issued by a veterinarian within one year prior to your scheduled stay date. Please note that use of the dog run will not be permitted in this case. [About Pets] We welcome guests staying with pets at this Facility; however, we ask that you follow these rules: (1) There are no restrictions on pets or breeds; however, only pets normally kept indoors are allowed. (2) Pets in heat are not permitted. (3) Before using this Facility, please have your pet groomed/shampooed as needed and complete flea and tick prevention measures. (4) Your pet must be house-trained. (5) Your pet must not disturb other guests through excessive barking, jumping on people, damaging property, etc. [Important Notes] (1) Please wipe your pet’s paws before entering guest rooms or the front desk area. Wet wipes are provided. (2) Inside guest rooms, please have your pet wear a diaper/belly band whenever possible. (3) We do not provide pet food, bedding, toilet trays/pads holders, etc.; please bring your own supplies. (4) Moving around without a leash is strictly prohibited except in the dog run area. If using a retractable leash, please keep it locked short while moving around outside the dog run area. (5) If leaving your pet in the guest room, place them in a cage/crate for safety reasons and to prevent damage or accidents inside our Accommodation facilities during their absence from supervision by their owner(s). This helps ensure both comfort for other guests and protection of our property throughout their stay at our Accommodation facility premises overall too! Thank you very much!
[Terms of Use] To ensure everyone can enjoy the dog run comfortably, we have established the following terms of use. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. If you do not comply with these rules, staff may speak to you or ask you to leave. Pets that fall under any of the following conditions are not permitted: - Dogs that have not received a rabies vaccination and a combination vaccine (5-in-1 or more) within the past year - If you cannot present proof of rabies vaccination and proof of combination vaccination (copies/photos accepted) - Excessive barking, jumping up, or biting - Female dogs in heat (from 5 weeks before bleeding starts until 5 months after bleeding ends) - Dogs that are ill or have internal/external parasites (roundworms, fleas, ticks, etc.) [Prohibited Items] 1. Entry by persons aged 15 or under without a guardian 2. Eating, drinking alcohol, or smoking by owners (drinks and treats for your dog are allowed) 3. Leaving pet waste unattended 4. Leaving your dog unattended in the dog run or taking your eyes off your dog 5. Bringing animals other than dogs into the dog run 6. Use by anyone other than guests staying at this Hotel 7. Sharing the entrance passcode with any third party is strictly prohibited. We ask for thorough compliance to help protect everyone’s dogs. [Notes & Requests] 1. Please follow these terms and use the dog run at your own risk and responsibility. 2. Please use the appropriate area for your dog (small dogs under 12 kg / medium-to-large dogs 12 kg and over). 3. When entering/leaving, open/close each door of the double-gate one at a time and lock it each time to prevent escapes and accidents. 4. Enter with your dog on a leash; remove the leash only after confirming your dog is calm inside the area. 5．Please refrain from using the Facility with more dogs than you can properly supervise。 6．If your dog causes trouble for other dogs or people—such as mounting, chasing others around, or continuous barking—please stop it immediately。 7．When using toys，please do so carefully to avoid trouble with other users。 8．Pour plenty of water over any urination spots。Be sure to fill in any holes dug by your dog。 9．For photos/videos featuring other people’s pets，or posting them on social media，please obtain permission from their owners in advance。 10．As this Facility is surrounded by nature，ticks may be present。After using the dog run，please care for your pet—for example，by rinsing them with water。 11．If instructions are given by those managing this Facility for operational reasons，please follow them without exception。 12．If trouble occurs with other dogs/users due to violation of these terms，you may be asked to leave。 [Disclaimer] The height of the dog-run fence is 1 .5 meters।We assume no responsibility whatsoever for accidents such as escape ،injury ，illness ，or death 。Please resolve such matters at your own responsibility 。 We also assume no responsibility whatsoever for disputes involving other dogs or owners 。Please discuss among yourselves and resolve accordingly 。
