TABIYADO Watershed Cottage is the only cottage in its own private area—complete privacy with no other groups nearby. An optional sauna, carefully selected by the sauna-loving owner, is also available (green season only).

With a fluffy, whipped-cream-like texture, it’s richly creamy yet mysteriously light—you’ll finish it in no time. A special treat worth coming for, from nearby neighbors to visitors from far away. We use “Carpigiani,” the choice of true soft-serve connoisseurs. To go with our soft serve, we also offer coffee sourced from a local roaster in Gujo—truly freshly roasted, with noticeably better freshness and aroma. Please enjoy today’s recommended coffee (which changes daily) together with our soft serve. *As a green-season stay benefit, we give each guest one complimentary serving of our signature “Hirugano Milk Soft Serve.” *The café is open from late April to early November.

Next to our property is the Watershed Park. Here, you can see water flowing down from Mt. Dainichigatake form a river and then split toward the Sea of Japan side and the Pacific Ocean side. In summer, lush greenery reflects on the headwaters, offering a refreshing forest-bathing experience. The autumn foliage is also spectacular. From spring through autumn, the refreshing breeze across the highlands makes this the perfect season to enjoy nature. A wide range of highland activities awaits, including hiking Mt. Dainichi and Mt. Washigatake, golf, ziplining, Segway tours, and cycling. Enjoy hands-on time with animals and don’t miss the fun content that’s updated every year. <Recommended> “Hirugano Picnic Garden (3 minutes by car from our property)” - Packed with activities such as Zipline Adventure—perfect for anyone who’s ever thought “I want to be a bird” or “I want to fly”—and Summit Buggy, where you ride a large buggy (a first in Japan) together toward the mountaintop. “Hirugano Kogen Bokka no Sato (6 minutes by car from our property)” - Fun all day long! Simply watching animals graze peacefully on this vast farm is soothing—but you can also take them for a walk or feed them treats. Pizza-making experiences and various workshops are held regularly as well. Popular with families traveling with young children. “ORK ADVENTURE (7 minutes by car from our property)” - Explore the forest on a Segway with an exciting new ride feel, or race freely across wild courses on a buggy! From gentle beginner-friendly courses to varied gradients and long runs that intermediate and advanced skiers will love.

Our inn offers a flexible, No Meals Included stay to support your自由旅. There are many great restaurants nearby. Come back for a Multiple Night Stay and discover your favorite spots. “Cafe Watasuge: 30 seconds on foot from our inn” The most popular item is the sizzling iron-plate Napolitan (served with salad and soup). We also recommend the classic café favorite, cream soda. • In the evening, it also operates as an izakaya (17:00–20:00). A variety of daily small plates, izakaya-style dishes, and alcoholic drinks are available. Opening days vary, so please check Instagram for updates. “Pasta Bar OWL: 2 minutes by car from our inn” Welcoming you with pasta and other signature dishes. For snacks, find your favorite cheese.
