Deeper into the Hanamaki Onsen area, Dai Onsen itself had a rather rustic, old-fashioned atmosphere, but this Accommodation is a reinforced-concrete building and one of the larger Accommodations in Dai Onsen. It had a strong Showa-era feel, yet everything was impeccably clean; the Onsen was spacious, with abundant free-flowing water that felt pleasantly gentle on the skin. Just as we had heard about the excellent food, both dinner and breakfast were thoughtfully prepared with many dishes, and everything was delicious. All staff members—both younger and older—were consistently pleasant and service-minded without ever being overbearing; their perfectly balanced attentiveness was wonderful. The Room had a nostalgic Showa-era ambiance that older guests will appreciate, and we slept well in this warm and welcoming Accommodation.

We take pride in our 100% free-flowing natural hot spring water (simple sulfur Onsen), with absolutely no added water or heating. Both the men’s and women’s baths feature indoor baths with distinct atmospheres, and we also offer an open-air bath where you can listen to the gentle murmur of the river. Soak at length in the historic waters of Dai Onsen and unwind as you soothe away everyday fatigue.
