Comfort Inn Tsuchiura Ami

Lake Kasumigaura stretches out right in front of you, and the location is excellent. The on-site hot spring facility is also great—you can enjoy views of the lake from the 3rd-floor baths, and the 2nd-floor dining area offers outstanding views as well. The restaurant has a wide variety of menu options. There are also places to eat along the street, so finding dinner doesn’t feel difficult.It’s also nice that there’s a washing machine and detergent available, so you can do laundry for free (though there are only a few drying racks, so you can’t hang much). A few things to note—since it’s by the lakeside there can be a lot of mosquitoes; there are no convenience stores, supermarkets, or drugstores within walking distance; and amenities may be limited (for example, yukata robes are not provided).

Even though we arrived earlier than scheduled, the staff welcomed us with a smile, which was very helpful. There were only enough in-room amenities for one person, so we went to the front desk to request more, and they responded promptly. The room was clean and we were able to relax comfortably. Breakfast was scheduled in time slots to avoid crowding, so we could eat without congestion. The selection of side dishes was limited, but everything was delicious. We also appreciated that waffles were freshly baked and prepared for us.
