Pension Woodchuck is located in Zao Town, Miyagi Prefecture, at an altitude of 400 meters, at the foot of the Zao mountain range, nestled in a forest of round acorn-bearing sawtooth oaks. In summer, rhinoceros beetles and fireflies visit the area. Nearby flows the Sumikawa River, home to "yamame" and "iwana" fish, nourished by the snowmelt from Zao. This Property is surrounded by such natural beauty. To accommodate wheelchair users, the building has been designed with minimal steps, and a small bridge has been added at the entrance. It is approximately 300 kilometers from Tokyo, about 60 minutes to Sendai, and located at the entrance to the Zao Echo Line, which connects Miyagi and Yamagata Prefectures.
