Relax in a 100% natural hot spring open-air bath while listening to the soothing sounds of the river.

Our accommodation, Bandai Nishimuraya, is a peaceful mountain retreat located in an onsen town surrounded by the Adatara Mountains to the east, Mount Bandai to the west, and the Azuma mountain range to the north. Since around 1600 AD, when an onsen was discovered at the foot of Mount Adatara, it has also been used as a therapeutic hot spring. Our 100% natural flowing onsen features high acidity levels and is known for its benefits in treating gastrointestinal diseases, rheumatic conditions, cuts, and other external injuries. It attracts numerous visitors throughout the year. There is also a ski resort nearby that makes our accommodation popular among families enjoying winter skiing. In spring, summer, and autumn, many guests visit after hiking to relax and recover from their mountain adventures before heading home. Enjoy rooms with views of seasonal landscapes and daily-changing local cuisine made with fresh seasonal ingredients sourced from our region for a relaxing stay.

  • I stayed here for the Onsen, but the food was delicious, and the staff were very kind. The building and the room were old, but I liked the nostalgic atmosphere. When leaving, the grandmother of the Ryokan waved until my car was out of sight, which touched my heart. I had a wonderful time.

  • Stayed during a Bandai touring trip. This traditional ryokan has an old and seasoned building and facility, but the atmosphere was charming, which made it even better. The open-air bath was incredibly relaxing, with mineral deposits in the water adding to the experience. The indoor bath featured a Kerorin bucket subtly themed after a certain sergeant character.Amenities are minimal, so it's recommended to bring your own soap and skincare products like lotion. I was prepared for the possibility of the Inawashiro soft vinyl figure being sold out but was thrilled to successfully purchase one.I would definitely stay here again on my next Bandai trip!
