I was a bit anxious as it was my first time in Kamikochi, but the Ryokan’s Shuttle Service made sightseeing smooth and easy. Breakfast and dinner featured mainly local ingredients, tasted great, and were more than satisfying—especially the salt-grilled char, which was far more delicious than I expected. I also had plenty of time to relax and enjoy the Onsen, so I’d love to return in a different season.
Yahoo!トラベルユー... 8/11/2026It was my first time in Kamikochi, and I wasn’t sure which Accommodation to choose, but I decided on this one because of the excellent Shuttle Service. Since it was reasonably priced, I didn’t expect much beyond that—but in the best way, it exceeded my expectations. At check-in, we were seated and served buckwheat tea while receiving a thorough explanation of the facilities. They also had maps ready and gave detailed advice, such as which route would be best to take. The Room was a 6-tatami-size for two people, but it was spacious enough, clean, and even had a refrigerator. The meals were delicious, and above all, all the staff were pleasant. It felt like they provided equally warm and courteous service to everyone—international guests as well as people of all ages and genders. As for the Shuttle Service: on the first day we boarded at Matsumoto Station at 14:45 and checked in right away. The next day, we left our luggage there and departed from the Hotel at 8:00; they dropped us off at Taisho Pond at 8:15. After enjoying the scenery with breaks along the way, we arrived at Kappa Bridge around 9:45. We didn’t go to Myojin Pond, so we actually had more than enough time. They picked us up at 12:30 at the Kamikochi Bus Terminal and drove us straight back to Matsumoto Station. Thanks to them, I made wonderful memories in Kamikochi. Thank you very much.
