• The Room was a Japanese-style room, and the toilet and other facilities were shared, but everything was clean and comfortable. There was a refrigerator in the Room, and a shared microwave in the hallway, which was very convenient. The bath was spacious with a great view. I would definitely like to stay here again if I have the opportunity.

  • Seasonal Clothing Guide

Just 90 minutes by car from Nagoya or Toyota City!
Welcome to Ena Sanso, an Accommodation located in Ena City, Gifu Prefecture.

Ena Sanso sits at an altitude of 900 m. Although it’s only about 20 minutes from the city center and easy to access, the temperature can be quite different.
Here are our recommended outfits for each season!

    Early summer to summer
    [June to September]
During the day, temperatures may rise to nearly 35°C, but at night they can drop to around 20°C—sometimes even below 20°C.
Mornings and evenings are cool and comfortable compared with the city area!

We recommend a T-shirt and pants with a light outer layer, such as a thin jacket or lightweight long-sleeve top.

    Spring / Autumn
[October to November / March to April]
It’s not severely cold, but some mornings and evenings may fall below freezing. Depending on the day, there is also a chance of snowfall.

For peace of mind, we recommend sweatshirts or hoodies with pants plus a blouson jacket, a lightweight down jacket, or even a thicker outer coat.

    Winter
    [December to February]
The cold can be intense—especially in the mornings and evenings—when temperatures may drop to nearly -10°C.
When it snows, accumulation can reach 20–30 cm.

We recommend thick tops and bottoms (layering two pieces is ideal) with warm innerwear.
When going out, please prepare winter gear such as a bench coat or down jacket, gloves, a scarf, and snow boots.

The most recommended season is from late April to early June.
You’ll rarely need an extra layer or cardigan-style cover-up then, and the sunshine isn’t too strong—making it very comfortable!

These are only general guidelines, so please check the temperature and weather forecast on the day of your visit.
Mountain weather changes quickly, so it’s best to come prepared.

If needed in an emergency, there are clothing chain stores about 20 minutes away by car—so please don’t worry.

    We hope this helps!
