Livemax Resort Shiretoko Seafront (Formerly: Rausu no Yado Marumi)

I chose this Hotel for its ideal location to visit the Shiretoko Roadside Station and try grape shrimp.Considering sightseeing around the Shiretoko Peninsula, I don’t think there’s a better Hotel.They were very considerate at check-in, which was a big help.Dinner was served as a set meal, and the salmon roe rice bowl at the breakfast buffet was absolutely delicious.The Hotel has a sense of history, but the staff’s attentiveness and service were extremely satisfying. The Room was also kept very clean—there was nothing to complain about.After returning home, I realized I had left something behind. When I contacted the Hotel, they found it and sent it to me, which helped me so much. Even then, their response wasn’t unpleasant at all—they empathized with me and said they were glad it had been found, which left a great impression.I didn’t get to see any whales on this whale-watching trip, so when I come back for another try next time, I’d definitely like to stay here again.

This time, we stayed in a Superior Japanese-style Room with bath in the main building. The view from the window was stunning—an ocean view with Kunashiri Island, and it was truly beautiful. All of the food was delicious; we especially enjoyed the snow crab and the generous sashimi platter—everything we tried was excellent. Breakfast also included items like salmon roe, and it made for a wonderful trip. There was a “Kita no Shokunin” noren curtain at the dining hall, and the cuisine truly felt like a craftsman’s work. Next time, we would like to stay in the new building. All of the staff were smiling and left us with a great impression. A highly recommended Accommodation! Thank you very much.
