  • For First-Time Visitors to Hakuba Goryu | Obergurgl Guide

    Thank you for considering our Accommodation among the many options available.

    Aubergurgle is a small pension located in the Hakuba Goryu area. Many guests use us as a convenient base for enjoying Hakuba actively—hiking, sightseeing, skiing, and snowboarding.

    Hakuba Goryu Escal Plaza and the gondola are about a 5-minute walk away. We can also look after your car before check-in and after check-out, so you can make the most of your time for hiking, activities, or skiing. Early-morning departures are also welcome.

    Reservations are generally No Meals Included, but breakfast and dinner can be added at check-in—feel free to choose based on your plans and mood. Our on-site garden restaurant serves a popular curry slowly simmered with local Hakuba pork.

    On the property, we offer an approximately 200 m² natural-grass dog run and a garden terrace. Enjoy a relaxed Hakuba-style evening breeze with your dog, along with beer and meals.

    We offer a wide range of Rooms—from solo stays to families and groups, including Rooms where you can stay with your dog.

    Neither a Ryokan nor a Hotel—another way to enjoy Hakuba.

    About a 5-minute walk to the Hakuba Goryu Gondola—an ideal base for hiking and sightseeing, and also conveniently located for business stays.

    A Greeting from the Owner | Second-Generation Owner Raised in Hakuba

    Nice to meet you.
    I was born and raised in Hakuba, and since last year I have taken over from my father, the founder, as the second-generation owner helping run this pension.

    The scenery of Hakuba I’ve known since childhood, and the connections with people—this pension holds many memories built up by our family and community.

    Hakuba has been changing little by little with the times, but while enjoying those changes, we are taking on new initiatives step by step each day to create an Accommodation that makes you want to “come back again.”

    We also share stories from the pension, the charm of Hakuba, and behind-the-scenes moments on YouTube and note. If you take a look before your stay, you may feel even closer to both our pension and Hakuba.
