    <About the Operating Days of the Okutateshina Shibu-no-Yu Route Bus>

    A local bus to our property is available from Chino Station: the “Okutateshina Shibu-no-Yu Line” (Alpico Kotsu).
    It operates on Saturdays, Sundays, public holidays, and during the year-end/New Year period, and does not run on weekdays (it does operate on weekdays from August 1 to August 30).
    (The timetable shown is valid until October 25, 2026.)
    For details, please search online for “Alpico Kotsu Okutateshina Shibu-no-Yu Line Timetable 2026”.
    A taxi costs approximately JPY 9,000 one way.
    Please note that we do not offer Shuttle Service.

Our Accommodation’s specialty, “Shingen’s Medicinal Bath,” is fed directly from a natural spring source near Shibu-no-Yu, 2 km upstream. From the spout, the water pours down like a waterfall shower, filling a handcrafted wooden tub made of cedar, cypress, and sawara while turning it a bluish milky white—and it flows generously at all times. At Shibutatsuno Ryokan, the recommended way to bathe is to soak in a half-squat position while alternating between hot and cold. Because the Onsen has strong therapeutic properties, there is no washing area at Shingen’s Medicinal Bath. You may wash your body in the indoor bath equipped with faucets. The spring quality is a simple acidic cold mineral spring and is said to be effective for a wide range of conditions including gastrointestinal issues, rheumatism, women’s health concerns, and dermatitis. It is also beneficial for wounds and leaves your skin feeling smooth.

Closed during winter due to freezing conditions. Because the Onsen’s mineral properties are strong, the forest Onsen does not have a washing area. Please wash in the indoor bath, which is equipped with taps for washing.
