A journey exploring the architectural structures of Kanazawa

The Taniguchi Yoshirō and Yoshio Memorial Kanazawa Architecture Museum was designed and built by Yoshio, the son of Yoshirō (1904–1979), to honor their achievements. Yoshirō, born in Kanazawa, designed iconic Showa-era buildings such as the Chidorigafuchi National Cemetery, the main lobby of Hotel Okura Tokyo Main Building, the Imperial Theatre, and the Tokyo National Museum. Yoshio has worked on notable projects both domestically and internationally, including the Kasai Rinkai Aquarium, the new building of the Museum of Modern Art in New York, GINZA SIX, and the lobby of the new Hotel Okura Main Building.
