Enjoy the starry sky, sweeping panoramic views, and nature from an altitude of 1,918 m.

  • I visited for my mother’s birthday for the first time in 20 years. We came hoping to enjoy the starry sky and the cool air, but unfortunately the weather didn’t cooperate, so we had to give up on stargazing. Still, we were able to relax thanks to the refreshing air and a clean, beautiful Room. The drive there felt nerve-wracking, but on the way back those worries were almost gone. I was surprised that such a well-kept Hotel could be up on a mountain like that. I’m glad we went. On our way home, we also enjoyed seeing the steep-slope lifestyle in the Shimo-Kuri area, which made it a fun trip overall. While my mother is still healthy, I’d love to come again and let her enjoy the stars next time. Thank you to everyone at the Hotel for your hospitality.

  • Although the Facility and equipment felt a bit dated, the spirit of hospitality left us very satisfied. The shortest access route was closed due to a landslide, and continuing operations while procuring supplies and ingredients at an altitude of 1,900 m must require considerable effort; nevertheless, we received excellent Accommodation service. Thank you to all the staff. In late July—when the plains were experiencing extreme heat—the highest temperature around the Hotel was about 25°C. Mornings were as cool as 13°C, so we set out chairs on the lawn in front of the Hotel and spent time reading. It was the perfect summer retreat. It’s known for its beautiful starry skies, but moonlit nights are also exceptional. Nights with no city lights have their own charm as well. The sunset sinking behind the mountain ridgeline was stunning. The sunrise rose with birdsong (the sky began to brighten around 4:00). The two-hour drive from the interchange was well worth it. The roads leading to the Hotel are narrow enough that passing oncoming cars can be difficult, which takes some effort; however, traffic is very light, so you’ll be fine if you drive slowly and safely.
