In 2023, we carried out a major renovation of Fujiya Ryokan—one of the highest-rated properties in Minakami Town—based on the concept of a Hotel you can enjoy even after check-in. Surrounded by the vast nature of the Minakami UNESCO Park, the scenery changes with every season. The Tone River flows alongside the Hotel, offering soothing valley views, and Mt. Tanigawa can also be seen—an exceptional setting for your stay. Minakami’s Onsen is known for its high quality and gentle feel. Unusually for this area, our Facility does not recirculate the water; we are committed to 100% free-flowing natural hot spring water so you can truly experience its quality. Our on-site facilities include a large public bath, a panoramic open-air bath, an amusement space for both adults and children, a projector bar, an in-house drink bar, and more. We also offer free dress rentals so you can take memorable photos as part of your special getaway. All beds are 160 cm wide or larger, and we carefully selected comfortable mattresses to help relieve travel fatigue—so you can enjoy a fulfilling time inside the Hotel as well. Our dinner buffet is popular for seafood including crab, shabu-shabu, Chinese cuisine, and all-you-can-drink options. We also offer Rooms where you can stay with your pet as well as a pet Hotel service. Please come and experience an extraordinary getaway at Hotel Romosa. The tagline “an extraordinary space” is spot on, and it was a truly refreshing experience.■Room The Room was very spacious, and the bed was large and wonderfully plush. As mentioned in Reviews, many of the appliances were from overseas brands, but they were made by high-performance manufacturers such as Hisense. The vertical air conditioner worked extremely well—it was so comfortable I wished I could take one home.■Facility There was a 24-hour drink bar, and I especially appreciated that they had Hi-C Peach, which you rarely see these days. There was also an amusement area with go-karts and projection coloring, which made for a really fun stay.■Dining All-you-can-eat Chinese cuisine with an order-style buffet. The fried chicken was delicious. They also offered seafood such as crab and shrimp, so we enjoyed it plenty.■Onsen I like soaking in lukewarm water for a long time, so the temperature was perfect and I could relax without rushing. The Reservation-only open-air bath was cold in midwinter, but being able to enjoy a private soak under a sky full of stars was wonderful.―― Points for improvement ――・Dinner buffet It was disappointing that there weren’t any shellfish like those shown in the photos (abalone, whelk/tsubugai, turban shell/sazae, or hard clams) despite the description suggesting “a wide variety of fresh seafood.” I love shellfish, but on that day the only option available was oysters—the one thing I can’t eat. (My companion said the oysters were plump and delicious, which made it even more disappointing.)・Bed legs Both my companion and I hit our little toes on the bed legs when getting up. It’s partly our own carelessness, but it hurt quite a bit—adding protective padding such as sponge guards would make it safer.・Cold areas inside the building While the Room itself was warm, areas like the corridor leading to the large public bath were very cold. I understand this may be unavoidable given the location/climate, but we would appreciate it if you could consider installing electric heaters or similar measures.I’ve listed some requests at the end, but overall we were satisfied with our stay. In particular, the drink bar and projection coloring were great—next time we’d love to bring our child as well. We’d like to stay again if we have another chance. (If possible, we’d be happy if the Accommodation Fee could be a bit lower.)

The meals were delicious, and the Chinese cuisine was made-to-order and served fresh at the table. At checkout, we received a small souvenir, making our stay enjoyable until the very end. I would love to visit again!
