This Hotel is very cozy and located in a quiet riverside area. It’s a short walk to the center of Jozankei, but it’s perfect for a post-meal stroll, and you can also enjoy the illuminated Toyohira River. The meals focus on quality over quantity; each dish made the most of its ingredients, and everything was delicious. The Onsen bathing area is on the smaller side, but since this Ryokan has only a few Rooms, it never felt crowded (weekday Monday stay during Obon week).

Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, and although the Hotel is run by a small team, their warm hospitality made our stay truly comfortable. We would love to return again for her birthday in two months.On our first visit to Jozankei in a while, we used the admission tickets we received to visit a shrine and enjoy the lantern displays, taking a relaxing stroll around town. While we noticed some closed Hotels, there were also more new Facilities, making this a visit that left us excited about what’s next for the area.
