About a 5-minute walk to the entrance of Nara Park. Kofuku-ji Temple’s Five-Story Pagoda and the World Heritage site Gango-ji Temple are also within walking distance, so you can head out whenever the mood strikes. It’s about a 15-minute walk to the Nara National Museum and Ukimido Pavilion, and about a 30-minute walk to Todai-ji Temple’s Great Buddha Hall and Kasuga Taisha Shrine (buses and rental bicycles are also available). The luxury of staying at an Accommodation close to major sights is having complete freedom with your time. Pass by deer on a quiet approach in the early morning, take your time visiting temples and shrines during the day, then return to the Accommodation for a short rest in the evening. About a 9-minute walk from Kintetsu Nara Station, and about an 18-minute walk from JR Nara Station (about 6 minutes by taxi). Drop off your luggage first, then start exploring this historic city on foot.

Our Ryokan offers 15 Rooms in six types, each thoughtfully designed around a different era of Japan. Some Rooms feature low beds set on tatami mats, with wooden lattice screens gently dividing the bedroom and living area. Others are filled with the atmosphere of a traditional Ryokan, where soft light filters through shoji screens. From framed artwork to furnishings, every detail varies—no two Rooms are the same. As you walk down the corridor, you’ll find plaques beside each door bearing the name of its era. Which era will you stay in tonight? Your journey begins the moment you choose your Room.

Breakfast includes two rice balls, Japanese rolled omelet, miso soup, and pickles. It is served in the indoor dining area from 8:45 to 9:30 (available only to guests who book a breakfast-included Plan). A simple, satisfying set—just right for a day of walking ahead. Warm rice and miso soup gently help you wake up. In the soft light filtering through the shoji screens, start with your first bite. Step through the noren curtain when you’re done, and quiet morning Nara will be waiting.

Just beyond the entrance is a lobby softly lit with traditional Japanese lighting beneath a lattice ceiling. With deep-colored leather sofas and seasonal flowers, it’s the most relaxing spot in the building. Whether you’re spreading out a map to plan tomorrow’s route or taking a breather after a long day of walking, this is the place. Shelves are stocked with Nara souvenirs and sweets, and our front desk can recommend local favorites and handy shortcuts. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property. We also have vending machines and a coin laundry (fee applies), so you can enjoy your Multiple Night Stay with ease.
