    This was our last trip of the year. We were fully satisfied with this Ryokan in every way—the cuisine, the Onsen, and the kind hospitality of the staff.There was only one small issue, but it was addressed promptly. We would like to continue coming here in the future.

    The traditional Ryokan has been beautifully renovated, offering a spacious and comfortable bath. Above all, the meals were incredibly delicious; we finished both dinner and breakfast completely. The balance of flavors was perfect, with no heaviness even after eating a lot, and the freshness of the seafood was impressive. The quality of the futon mattress was excellent—my elderly mother, who usually experiences back pain, was delighted to feel no discomfort! A luxurious mat for dogs was also provided, and our beloved pet slept soundly on it all night.One suggestion would be to improve the walking path from the courtyard to the lakeside for an even more satisfying experience.

A dog-friendly Onsen Accommodation in Katayamazu Onsen, located along the shores of Lake Shibayama. Packed with activities you can enjoy with your dog, and you can even dine together. The area around Lake Shibayama is also recommended as a great walking route for your dog.

Savor delicate kaiseki cuisine expertly crafted by our head chef using the finest seasonal seafood and mountain delicacies. Of course, you can dine together with your dog, and we also offer meals for dogs upon request for an additional charge.

Guest Room

All rooms offer lake views overlooking Lake Shibayama.

We provide an airweave mattress for dogs, and the Room features tatami flooring for a dog-friendly space. Some Rooms include an open-air bath where you can enjoy bathing with your beloved dog, and within our garden overlooking Lake Shibayama as borrowed scenery, you will find a sukiya-style detached guesthouse.
