  • During Golden Week, I tried to book a last-minute stay in Uwajima but couldn’t find anything reasonably priced, so I stayed here in Yawatahama instead. There was a day-use Onsen within walking distance, and there were various restaurants nearby as well (though many were closed due to Golden Week). You can walk from the station if you really try, but taking the bus was more convenient. The Hotel was a slightly larger one that also hosts weddings. Compared with more expensive hotels, some Facilities are lacking, but it was perfectly adequate. Breakfast felt a bit pricey, so I skipped it. The paper slippers were extremely thin, so if that bothers you, you may want to bring your own slippers.

About Hygiene Measures
Our Accommodation implements the infection prevention measures required of Go To Travel participating businesses and follows the “COVID-19 Response Guidelines for Accommodations.” We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding and cooperation. Cleaning and disinfection within the Accommodation Frequently touched items and areas such as elevators are regularly wiped down and disinfected with disinfectant. Areas in guest rooms that guests frequently touch are wiped down and disinfected with disinfectant during room cleaning. Health checks for guests At check-in, we ask all staying guests to have their temperature taken and their identity verified, while taking infection prevention measures such as avoiding direct face-to-face contact. We conduct health checks such as temperature screening. If a guest has a fever or cold-like symptoms, we will follow instructions from the nearest public health center (including on weekends) and respond appropriately. If you develop symptoms such as fever, cough, or fatigue during your stay, please contact the front desk immediately. Depending on the situation, we may report to the public health center or recommend that you visit a medical institution. At check-in, we thoroughly inform staying guests of “Items Travelers Must Comply With.” These are the items stated in “For Everyone Using the Go To Travel Campaign—Compliance Requirements When Using Go To Travel,” issued by the Japan Tourism Agency. At check-in, we also thoroughly inform staying guests that group trips by young people, group trips by older adults who are more likely to become severely ill, and trips involving large banquets are generally considered higher risk and should preferably be avoided. However, this does not automatically exclude them from support; rather, trips should be carried out appropriately on the premise that reliable infection prevention measures will be implemented (such as school trips/educational travel). Infection prevention measures within the Accommodation For shared facilities such as baths and dining facilities, we have set limits on capacity and/or usage times. In restaurants/dining areas, we implement infection prevention measures such as spacing tables and seats apart. Please refrain from speaking loudly inside the Accommodation or sharing drinks during meals (e.g., passing drinks around). To ventilate elevators, guest rooms, and shared spaces within the Accommodation, we open windows/doors where possible and introduce outside air via air-conditioning systems where applicable. Other measures During your stay at our Accommodation, please wear a mask in public spaces and wash/disinfect your hands regularly. Hand sanitizer is available in multiple locations within our Accommodation including in the lobby area and at restaurant entrances. At entrances such as those to reception/front desk areas and restaurants/dining areas, we have placed floor markers to help maintain distance between guests. After each meal service is finished at a table but before seating new guests there again,we cleanand sanitize it . We have strengthened employee health management. Staff undergo health checks including temperature screening when reporting to work; anyone with symptoms such as fever,cough,sputum,cold-like symptoms ,or fatigue will not workand will remain at home . All employees wear masks while working, and use face shields etc.as necessary.
