I messed up.
I thought the person who left first had taken the room key, so I only took the key for the lights and caught up with them in the elevator hall to ask—but they didn’t have it. Oh no.When I told the front desk, they kindly went to get it for me. I’m sorry for the trouble.Also, there seemed to be an issue with the air conditioner. It was hot right after I entered, so I turned on the cooling, but an orange light kept blinking and it wouldn’t cool. I stopped it and pressed cooling again repeatedly until it finally worked. But by early morning it stopped again, so I fiddled with the remote a bit more and then it started working. Maybe a previous guest had set an on/off timer?
