Azumaya Ryokan in Hongu, the mecca of Kumano Kodo, is known as a Property of renowned Onsen and Onsen cuisine. Guests can enjoy fresh hot spring water directly from the private source in five different baths, including a large cypress wood bathtub, a mist sauna utilizing high-temperature Onsen, and an open-air bath designed with a Japanese garden. The Onsen is also said to be effective for conditions such as gout, beautiful skin, back pain, and joint pain. The cuisine is carefully prepared, with white rice cooked for about 30 minutes to create a fragrant porridge.
