R9 Hostel Tochigi Station Front

This was my first time staying here. I made a same-day booking in the evening and was able to complete the Reservation. I stayed overnight for golf the next day, so I chose this Accommodation because I just needed a place to sleep. I checked in after 9:00 PM, and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. For dinner, I bought food at a nearby 7-Eleven and ate at the table in front of the front desk. It was spacious, which was nice. The Room entrance has an accordion curtain, but as long as you manage your valuables properly, it should be fine. The entrance to each floor is locked, so people can’t freely come in, which felt reassuring. The shower room isn’t large, but shampoo and other amenities were provided, which was great. The bed had a comfortable firmness and I slept very well. You can hear some noise from other rooms, but it wasn’t an issue at all. The Room TV uses wireless headphones, which helps with noise control. They also lend loungewear, so you can stay with just your essentials. I was surprised that breakfast is included from 6:00 AM (at this price!). There is also self-serve coffee available. Parking: there are 4 spaces next to the Hotel; if it’s full, there is a second gravel parking area a short distance away with about 4 spaces as well. The Facility felt new and very clean throughout.

I was meeting friends at Tochigi Station for drinks, so I looked for an affordable Hotel near the station. Since I was driving, I was worried the parking might be narrow or far away, but there was an open space in the lot in front of the Hotel, with enough room that I didn’t have to worry about door dings. From Room 204, I had to unlock a door once to get to the restroom, which felt a bit inconvenient. During my stay I only ran into two people, but noise from other rooms was more noticeable than expected. I didn’t wash my hair so I didn’t use the hair dryer, but I wondered where you’re supposed to use it. The hand towel and bath towel were fluffy and very comfortable. Breakfast—three individually wrapped breads and coffee—was more than enough for me. It’s perfectly fine if you just want to come back after drinking, rinse off the sweat, and sleep.
